About: I’ve owned cats my whole life. My current cat is a sassy senior tortie named Queen. I'm well versed in reading body language through ears and tail. I have lots of experience with senior cats with health conditions; managing pet prescriptions and special diets. I'm comfortable administering medications if needed. In the past, I’ve taken care of my parent's diabetic asthmatic cat by giving her insulin injections daily as well as using an inhaler on her. Animal rescue is my biggest passion! About: My very first pet of my own is my beautiful calico cat, Nala. I love her beyond words and I would treat your fur baby just how I would want someone to care for mine! I have been cat sitting for over 10 years, as one of my very first jobs was watching my neighbors cat while they were on vacation. She was diabetic so I had to give insulin and make sure she was feeling okay without her mom and dad around. I have 4 kids(1-16) so the dog must be good with small children. I do work during the week. Someone is home during the summer and school breaks. About: I have had pets most of my life. I quit my job and started a non-profit, St. Lewis Foundation, which didnt work out, so all the animals in my care became my pets. They were mostly senior and unwanted animals, which is where my heart is. I am unemployed right now, looking for remote work . So I am home all day. I have the time to let your pup out as many times as he/she wants. If they are a little dog I will be right by their side. I am up 6a - 9p. I have 3 senior cats that sleep up high most of the day, so your pup needs to be okay with cats. All pups sleep with me in my king size bed (if they want to). I have a dog bed next to me in my office or a couch in front of a large front window. I have locked screen security doors in case your pup likes to sniff the air. Central AC (I like it cool) and heating. I have many balls and treats (if allowed) and would love to throw the ball a bit. Back yard is not huge but sufficient. All my dogs have passed and I am missing a dog so much but cant commit right now. So let me love on your pup!

I spend my weekends at the Cleveland Animal Protective League walking and training all different types of dogs, so I have experience with any type of dog you could think of! About: Taking care of pets has always been part of my life. I have a fenced in yard for dogs to run and play. As for walks, I have to active kids who are always willing to take a walk around. About: While I'm more experienced with cats in my home, I have always been the go-to pet sitter for all friends and family. I appreciate that they get just as excited to go for a w-a-l-k as I do. It helps that my schedule is extremely flexible since I'm a bartender who works odd hours. I can do early mornings, late nights, and a mix of anything you need in between. I'm a bartender, so I am available early mornings, late nights, and a good mix of anything in between. The bar I work at is also closed on Sundays and Mondays, so scheduling on those days is completely flexible. About: I am just starting to my fourth career, playing with your companion. I recently retired from teaching sustainable development at UAlbany. I now spend my days outside with hairy friend Herman. I picked up my first stray, Bandit, at 9. I have had a at least one dog since then, I am now 63. All from shelters or strays. I also did doggie foster care too. Known to be gentle and friend of the furry ones. I start each day with a morning meander across the 25 acres on a dead end road. Your companion will be well exercised, loved and cared for as long as they get along with my 14 year old hairy friend Herman, who lets cats eat from his dishes. He runs the place when it comes to house rules. He does not have viscous bone in his body. After three careers and global travel I am recently retired. My days are spent gardening, walking, sitting on the porch, listening to music, etc. I am rarely gone more than a few hours as Herman, my four legged friend, needs special care at 14 years old. I am typically up before dawn, no dog or alarm necessary. My day typically begins with me waking predawn and greeting the new day with my hound Herman on the 25 acres we cohabitate. Most is abandoned agriculture returning to forest for 35 plus years that is bisected by a small babbling brook. Breakfast is then served before returning outside. In climate weather I am outside more than 70% of my day outside. At 14 he chooses to stay in sometimes. Your companion will be free to make their own choice too. My life ambition is to nurture life. I have cared for pets since I was born as my family had cats. There is a fenced area that includes four shaded area. There will be plenty of water, including a baby pool for play as well as sprinklers. This area is shares two fences lines with my garden, has direct access to a walk out basement, and is fully visible from my porch. The dogs will have near 24/7 personal attention and care. I live sustainably. There are no chemicals in my lawn or garden. I have an enclosed porch that in the summer is open air, but no steps to escape. Only with your permission would I walk a guest off leash. Before walking them off leash I will need feel 100% confident they respond to command when other distractions are present. Again with your permission I would take your friend to a fenced in dog park visit as a trial run. Herman, my housemate, is a happy healthy 14 year old he is my best reference. He also has final word on all guest of all species. About an 1/2 acre is fenced with direct access from the house through the basement door. It includes shaded doggie lounges, a baby pool in the summer, toys galore, and lots of attention as the space is adjacent to my garden and the covered porch. It has the capacity to be divided if unruly dog needs to be isolated or there are little ones that just need time away from the bigger ones. Indoors, dogs are free to roam in the basement and first floor. If they are cage trained I can accommodate that. The two beds are off limits. To prevent misunderstanding with bed loving dogs I will keep my guest room. Both the porch and the living room couches are fine. Little ones may use chairs too. The house is really set up for Herman’s comfort and safety. The 32x10 covered front porch is a favorite of Herman and all his visiting friends. Your hairy friend will be delighted by this feature too. One more thing, the hardwood floors are currently covered in rubber “yoga mats” as Herman can not cope with slippery floors. There are also many large dog beds that Herman is happy to share. Opps, where are our manners; welcome to our slice of Paradise!😊
