About: I'm an enthusiastic dog walker and sitter that has a passion for dogs and rescuing them. I have been involved in dog rescue and fostering in the Syracuse area for a number of years. I've cared for a number of my own dogs and cats from young to seniors. I've also been a foster parent to a number of dogs when rescues needed someone. I can handle the most challenging of dogs down to little babies and everything in between. Your dog will get plenty of love and attention when I'm around! I give all dogs the same love and affection I would give my own dog and see the importance of cuddle and buddy time along with good exercise. I show confidence when I'm with a dog so that they know there is trust with me from the beginning. I currently work part time, so have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby. I am always available after 3:00 p.m. during the week, before 8:00 a.m. or anytime on the weekends. I've got a very pet friendly home. I live in a single story, ranch house that has a fully fenced back yard. I do not have children at home that we would need to worry about and I'm very respectful if needed to go into a client's home. About: I've been a pet parent since my teens, from Dixies to Bernese! Would love to bring your dog with me on my walks/runs. I have a large fenced in yard for roaming and single floor home. I am available for boarding for weekends or full week. I do work 4-10s M-Th so would be better suited for older dogs if during the week. I am home Fri -sun for more attention on weekends. I have no kids and single floor home if those are restrictions for your pet. There is room inside for a crate if needed. The large back yard is fully fenced in and great for fetch. I do walk/run regularly and would love for your pet to join me if they are up to it.

About: No dog deserves the kennel! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.

I am willing to give medications if needed, I have experience from working at ASPCA. I also love to groom and give baths so your dog will never come home dirty, and nails can be trimmed as needed. “Kara took fantastic care of my very shy rescue dog during his overnight stay. She was patient and reassuring during the meet and greet, which helped him feel comfortable and me not feel so nervous! He loved exploring her fenced-in yard, and I really appreciated the great communication and frequent photos throughout his stay. He looked genuinely happy and comfortable when I picked him up. I will definitely book with Kara again.”

“If I could give 10 stars I would! Irena is wonderful! I love that Artie is in a home with a nice family that treats him like one of their own. Very flexible and genuinely cares about my puppy. He gets a lot of love and personalized attention. She keeps him engaged and plenty of exercise which helps him not be so active when he gets the puppy "zoomies" in the evening. Highly recommend to anyone who does not want to board their dog in a kennel or daycare facility. Thank you Irena and family! So glad we found you!”
