It was so appreciated to take the time to do that. About: ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. My first dog — Lucy, a Border Collie I had when I was 11 back in Shanghai, China — was my best friend for 16 years. Alongside her, I cared for a rescued stray cat "Noji" and an adopted poodle "Bebe" when I was 13, which taught me patience, responsibility, policing different pets, and how to understand different pet personalities. After moving to the U.S. for school, I brought home my baby Corgi "Brioche" in 2020. She’s now a 5-year-old certified service dog who’s friendly, well-trained, and walked three times a day for at least 30 minutes each time. I also helped train and kept a baby Devon Rex cat for my family in 2025. What sets me apart is my lifelong, hands-on experience with pets of different breeds, ages, and temperaments — from energetic puppies to senior dogs. I love fur babies more than anything and always prioritize their comfort, safety, and happiness. I will be working part time starting summer 2026 in NYC, so my schedule is flexible, I'm available for daily walks, boarding both weekdays and weekends. I live in a 2 bedroom in FiDi close to battery park city. There are no crates and my corgi was never crate-trained. I don't have indoor pet potty so I almost only take my dog out for potty unless the weather is crazy. I have plenty of dog beds and toys.

About: I’ve cared for two Cavalier King Charles’ in my family home and spent two years volunteering at a dog shelter called Helping Hounds. I have experience walking and spending time with dogs of all sizes and levels of reactivity. I work from home and so pets would not be left alone for any extended period of time. I love long walks by the water and would love to have a furry companion for those daily strolls. I also walk past a dog park so if that’s something your dog enjoys I would be happy to take them there! I am attentive to their needs and anxieties. We have a large one bedroom with lots of windows and this kind of environment would be more than comfortable for most dogs.

At home, I have a black Labrador Retriever named Ciara who is less than 1 year old, and the joy she brings me is unmatched. On the weekends and Monday, I am available at any time. At home, I take my dog on many walks. She has great puppy strength and sometimes pulls the leash, so I’m familiar with handling a stronger dog and keeping them safe and secure. I like to let my dog walk at her own pace (ex: stopping to sniff every 10 seconds) while still moving along for good exercise. In the city, I’ll make sure to stay away from moving traffic and dangerous areas, walking your dog through enjoyable spots. “My furbaby was comfortable with Keirstin. He spent a day with her before his 3 nights of boarding. He was quite excited to see her again to start his boarding for which I was pleased to see. While we were away, Keirstin sent us photos and updates and she was very responsive when I asked questions about his settling in her home. Thank you Keirstin.”
“Sanga is 14 years old, and stayed with Ivette and Gonzalo for a week. He has come home looking really happy and healthy. He seems to be have been well cared for. The hosts are super responsive and Sanga looked really at home at their place. We are really happy and would highly recommend Ivette and Gonzalo.”
