Working with rescues, pure breed dogs, females in heat and knowing how to whelp, has given me plenty of experience. I have been boarding dogs in my home for over 7 years. I am home full time, with the occasional errand to run. There is a place to hike, with great trails, right up the road from my home. I have a fenced in yard where dogs can run, play and hangout in the sun. I live on 9 acers, for us to explore and go for walks. About: I've been petsitting for over 20 years and I am also proud fur mama to a 14 lb. Yorkie/Dachsund names Maximillian. Max LOVES other dogs and we would love to keep your dog company while you're out of town. I'm on vacation for the summer so we would love to host your furry friends for a visit for a day or overnight or visit them at your place. I'm available during the summer/school breaks and on weekends during the school year (I'm a teacher). I'll have lots of time for walks, belly rubs. I live close to the rail trail and the walkway. Dogs are welcome on the couch. There's lots of space here to roll around on the floor, play fetch, bask in the sun on the fenced-in patio. For boarding, dogs must be crate trained, since I don't want to risk any harm to my dog or yours while I'm out.

About: I had two felines for over 15 years but they recently passed away. They were my best friends, but they hated dogs, which brought me to Rover. I love dogs big and small, from german shepherds to a Maltese, I have never had the living situation to have one. I love taking them out to play in the park or snuggling on the couch. Depending on the dog's needs I will take them for a short or long walk. We will make a plan catered to your specific pet. I have experience with giving medicine. I have experience with walking, overnight care, and in-home pups. I've always wanted a dog, let me give yours all the love I have to share. I have a flexible schedule and keep my rover calendar updated! I am an early riser and like to get moving so if you need morning help I am happy to do so. I try not to be out super late so unless I am doing an overnight the latest I'd do a visit it 9pm-10pm. Unfortunately, I can no longer offer home care in my house. For pet parents, I will arrive within the designated time, greet the pet with a warm hello, check the water to make sure it is clean and full, check the food to confirm the amount eaten, take the puppy outside to relieve itself, and/or change the puppy pad if required. Give the dog some good scratches and pats and maybe a treat if available. If the dog wants to play tug-o-war or fetch I'll do some of that too. I would like to tailor the visit to the dog's routine, so as not to cause any undue stress.

“Mildred and her family were incredibly wonderful to Luna and to me! They lived her like their own, and even fell IN love with her! I had lots of pictures from her even showing her lying on of the beds being pet. Luna is anxious and they either with her to warm up, there are two couples in the house and her son and they all take care of the dogs. What a wonderful place to leave your pup.”
“If you want a sitter that will love your dog as much as you do, then Jeff is who you want caring for your fur baby. I was so nervous leaving our pup with someone overnight for the first time but Jeff was so friendly and so kind, I immediately felt comfortable. Jeff is proactive at sending helpful instructions and also sent pics of our pup during her stay which made me so happy and relieved to see her having so much fun. Thank you Jeff for being so amazing to our precious Tilly.”

“I had taken Farley to the vet the afternoon before his stay. Turns out they had to sedate him and he had an infection in his paw. Loretta was AMAZING with him. I felt horrible for leaving still not totally with it yet and Loretta stayed with him, sent me constant updates and even fell asleep on the couch with him❤️ I highly recommend Loretta and I’m so grateful for the way she takes care of my dog!”

“David was THE BEST!! I left my dog in David's care for two weeks and I never had a single moment of worry or doubt. He was a thoughtful, dedicated sitter who went above and beyond. My dog Charlie has trauma/aggression issues that make it hard for me to feel safe leaving him with a sitter, but David was extremely attentive and extremely careful. And when my dog got finicky with anxiety and didn't want to touch his meals, David went the extra mile with treats and enticements to keep him eating regularly. Charlie was in the best hands around. Highly recommended!!”
