“Jane was our first time leaving our 18 month old pup with non-family. Though it took us 25 minutes to get there, it was definitely worth the drive. Jane offers a safe, caring dog-friendly, people-friendly home. She understood our anxiety and took time with both us and our dog. During the 2 days of boarding, Jane sent us photos and messages for peeks at how our dog was settling in, making friends, getting exercise and chilling out. A good time was had by all!”

“Thank you very much to Stephanie and her family for taking good care of Ozzy and for keeping us updated with photos during his stay. He has come back to us happy and healthy!”

“Kayte was amazing!!! My dog has anxiety, but he felt right at home with Kayte. They even went on a 5-mile walk that I’ll now have to live up to haha. She sent pics daily and Onyx always looked so happy and safe. I’ll definitely be using Kayte again!!!”

About: I’ve always had pets throughout my lifetime from kitties, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles, squirrels that I hand fed and set free with my father- and many more. I worked in pet stores and help foster kittens when available. 💕 Look forward to meeting you soon. I work part time as a territory supervisor, and my work is flexible. I’m home every night and throughout the day leaving me with much time to care for your pets. I’ve given medications and feed depending on preference of pet and client. “Sarah & Aaron treated Molly as a member of their family. They were patient with her and understanding of her needs. This and the updates they provided made us all comfortable. We will book again!”

“Sophia is so lovely and gentle. I felt very confident that she would be a sweet caretaker for Fiona. She sent me photos and responded quickly. She was very upfront when we met about other things she would be doing while Fiona was there and I really appreciated her doing so. We were able to talk about Fiona’s needs and quirks and how best to address them for everyone’s benefit. Would definitely use her again when she’s in town!”

“We had SUCH a wonderful experience with Meghan & Sean—and so did our pup! Our 3yo dog is nervous around new people and can be reactive. We were worried about how she would do staying with a family with young kids. Meghan & Sean listed to our worries and helped up brainstorm ways to put our dog at ease. And it worked like a charm! We were so grateful to the extra time Meghan & Sean spent to make both the humans and the doggo feel positive about the plan. We loved getting pics of the crew on their daily walks. It was also really really REALLY nice to see how much love Meghan and fam have for all animals, and how positive they were about our sometimes tricky dog. Our dog had a great week and we will definitely return to Meghan & Sean for future doggy needs, whether it is another week or a shorter visit. Highly recommend, zero notes!”

“Sean was so great with our dog. He proactively messaged us each day and gave us updates on how our dog was doing. Our dog came back well rested and happy. We will definitely be using him again!”

“Delilah had a great time. I received pictures everyday of my pet having the time of her life. Such personal care. Kirsten & Mark truly love their animals. Plenty of room to run and very secure. Sooo much better than a cold cement floor of a kennel. Thank you to Kirsten and Mark for opening their home to my very large pet.”

“Jessica took very good care of our pup for our 2 week+ vacation. She sent great photos everyday, took him on nice walks, and is very responsive. We hope that we have the opportunity to use her for any future trips. We highly recommend her.”

“Petra is amazing! She is a Savior when I’m away! I can’t thank her enough for everything. She takes care of my dogs like they’re her own. She found ticks on my pups and removed them. About: I have always had a special connection with dogs. I grew up with dogs and treated them like part of the family. Your best friend will be spoiled and pampered with me. I have a very flexible schedule with plenty of availability as this is my main job. I can also do long term sitting up to 6 weeks if necessary. I am responsible and professional and respectful in your home. Besides caring for your pets, I am happy to pick up mail and water plants.

“Elizabeth performed brilliantly -- she completed all requests without fail and provided plenty of photographic and written responses. She was timely in arranging service initially. And she managed the visits and house key drop-off well. We appreciated her willingness to commit to providing care with short notice. Thanks!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life—whether it’s been my own pets, helping out friends, or rescuing strays in need. Both of my cats were rescued by me, and I’ve always had a natural connection with animals. They’re drawn to me, and I love giving them the same trust and affection they show me. I grew up with big dogs, including two pit bulls and a boxer, so I’m confident and comfortable handling larger breeds. Over the years, I’ve potty trained dogs, taught tricks, and cared for pets with all kinds of temperaments. My experience goes beyond cats and dogs—I’ve also cared for frogs, snakes, turtles, and even had the incredible opportunity to volunteer with elephants in Thailand. My love for animals runs so deep that I’ve been vegan for over a decade. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s truly part of who I am. What I Offer 🐾 A 100% open and flexible schedule—your pets will always get the time, love, and attention they deserve. 🐾 Experience with animals of all sizes, temperaments, and special needs. 🐾 Patience, playfulness, and genuine compassion for every pet I meet. Whether it’s cuddles, walks, playtime, or extra TLC, I’ll treat your fur babies like they’re my own. I have a completely open and flexible schedule, available any day and time. Since I mostly work from home, I can easily accommodate bookings, cancellations, last-minute changes, and special requests. The only exception is occasional weekend evenings after 5 PM, when I work at The Colony in Woodstock. Other than that, I’m always here for you and your pets! I live in a spacious three-bedroom, 2 story home with a large open yard, perfect for pets to play and explore. Your furry friend will have plenty of room to stretch, run, and enjoy the outdoors while getting all the exercise and fresh air they need to stay happy and healthy.

It was an early drop-off and they were incredibly accommodating (and patient when my puppy then cried like someone had died after I left). About: I grew up in a cat household and became a dog mom as soon as I left home. I absolutely love all of the cats and dogs I’ve been fortunate enough to meet in this life. I raised my pup, Grumble, from 3 weeks old until she left this world at 11 years old. I am very familiar with the range of needs a dog will have throughout life, from teething to play to mobility assistance. I'm fully available in the winter as my regular job (gardening) is seasonal and won't be picking up again until later in the spring time. I can be flexible to your pets needs and more than happy to follow any directions you provide me with for their optimal care and contentment.

About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.
About: My own dogs are always the #1 teacher. They show me how to best care for them - with food, play, training, medications, travel, sleepless days and nights when they've been ill, and giving them all them comfort I can. I've volunteered at dog shelters, spent hours walking dogs in all kinds of weather, and offered comfort to friends who've had to say goodbye to their best fur friends. I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pets plenty of attention - playing, feeding, and scratching behind the ears. I take my dog for swims in the river, off leash romps in the woods, and leashed walks around town. We also play fetch and tug-of-war in the house or on the deck. If your dog needs a playmate, my dog, Jackson, may be a good fit. My cats - depending on their mood - like to lounge in the sun, pounce on the occasional toy, run up stairs, and hunt for treats I've hidden for them.
“Rosalie was SO GOOD and patient with our nervous chihuahua. She sent great updates and he had a lovely time in her home and fenced yard. We highly recommend her for dogs of all sizes! :)”

“Amanda was an amazing sitter for our dog Honey! She was thoughtful, communicative, flexible on timing, and Honey seemed so happy and calm when we picked her up. I couldn’t recommend her more!”

“This is our 3rd time using Eleanor for Sparky’s care. And we already have her scheduled again for a week in March. She continues to exceed our expectations. She has a genuine interest in Sparky and they both adore each other. We consider ourselves lucky to have made this connection with Eleanor.”

“Diana and her family provided day care to my puppy Jolene and I cannot say enough good things. She is a wonderful and attentive sitter and provided great care. I would definitely recommend her.”

“Marielle took great care of my little Zuzu! My puppy started the day sad about me leaving her there and by the end she was totally bonded with Marielle! She was also totally tuckered out so she clearly got plenty of exercise.”

“Jacqueline was very friendly and communicative, and Bunsen took an instant liking. We received photos of her well-being during her stay and of her mile walk. Jacqueline’s home is conveniently located in a popular historic town, making drop-off/pickup easy on the way to/from Hunter Ski Resort from our hotel. Bunsen was well cared for and happy. She was also so tired, that she managed to rest during the long car ride back home! We would book Jacqueline again.”

About: I grew up with all different types of animals my whole life. I have been a dog mom for 13 years. I am great at walking dogs who have aggression towards other dogs, I know how to find a calm route to take and distract them before conflict arises! I recently lost my 90 lb alapaha blue blood bulldog mix to a terminal illness and am looking forward to spending time with other people's dogs. I am a self employed artist, volunteer, and executive director of a free store that I physically staff on Saturdays, so I have a very flexible schedule. I I will care for your pets with so much attentiveness and love! Just give me a set of instructions and I will show them a great time. I am happy to board as well as make house calls, and I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my 4 year old foster daughter. We live next to many swimming holes and in a location with greay walkability.
About: Taking a break from corporate life! Aside from numerous family pets, I've had my pittie for about 5 years (does not join me on bookings) and we've been through just about every major medical scenario under the sun. Also experienced in sitting high-energy dogs, gaggles of small pups, and the occasional cat. I don't believe in leaving pets alone for long periods and every day should have a little adventure! I'm currently on a break from my career, my wife is WFH and able to watch our pittie while I'm away. Please let me know if your pet(s) cannot be left alone for more than 2-3 hours, otherwise you'll know in advance if anything would take me away for longer than this. Admittedly, I'm a bit of a helicopter parent. I cook all my dog's food, track his steps and sleep, and make sure his physical and social needs are always met. When I'm watching your pet(s), this is the kind of care they get as well.
About: I have loved and cared for animals my whole life. I especially love small dogs and understand that they need the same level of play and mental stimulation as all dogs. I have cared for cats, small animals, and chickens. I am a self employed artist with a flexible schedule. I take my own small dogs out to the local dog park every morning. I enjoy taking dogs out for walks in the nature areas and parks. I have two large fenced gardens at my home and allow my dogs to enjoy off leash time there. I understand that importance of keeping dogs on leash and cats indoors.
About: I have a lot of hands-on experience caring for pets, especially cats and dogs. Over the years I’ve helped friends, family, and clients with pet sitting, feeding, walks, litter box care, and making sure pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. I’m very attentive and truly enjoy spending time with animals.” Since I currently have a flexible schedule, I’m able to dedicate a lot of time and attention to the pets in my care. My day typically includes walks, playtime, feeding on schedule, and making sure pets feel comfortable and loved. I’m home often, which allows me to give pets consistent care, supervision, and companionship throughout the day.” I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment for every pet in my care. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, keep pets on their normal routines, and make sure they are supervised and comfortable at all times. I pay close attention to their behavior and needs to ensure their safety and well-being.”

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was five years old and continued to get more dogs. I have dog sat for multiple friends and family rating from dogs and cats. As far as training animals, I did grow up with having to train them so I do have some experience. I am currently working part time and go to community college but will be able to manage and work out a schedule that will be accommodating. I have 3 dogs that have invisible fences outside so they can roam free without getting lost, going to the road, running off. I have a big yard surrounding my house so they are used to running around freely. When it gets too cold they come in to the house or garage with my father. I am used to walking dogs as they do get walked on occasion at home or if we have them out of the house. About: Hi, I’m Ray! I’m based near Hudson and a proud lifelong animal lover. I grew up right here in the area—actually, I spent my early years on a farm surrounded by all kinds of animals. Our home was always full of dogs and cats, so caring for animals comes naturally to me. These days, it’s just me and my pup Biscuit, but my love for animals hasn’t changed a bit. I treat every animal in my care with the same patience, attention, and affection I give my own. I’m flexible with scheduling and happy to work with you to meet your animals needs. I am happy to board as well as make house calls, and I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my 4 year old foster daughter. We live next to many swimming holes and in a location with greay walkability.
“Rosalie was very kind to our senior dog, Bob. She has a lovely, clean home with a private, enclosed back yard for him to roam around. I would hire her again and recommend her to others.”

About: I was raised in a positive pet friendly family environment and had my own dogs and cats for more than twenty years. I can handle large, medium, and small dogs and will look to give them long walks and lots of exercise as a good dog is a tired dog. I work full-time but have plenty of free time during the week and on weekends to feed, walk, play fetch, or just hang out with your dog. I am happy to come to your home and walk your dog and or play at a local dog park, I am familiar with dogs from Yorkshire Terriers and Kings Charles Spaniels to Rottweilers and German Shepards.
