“We are so lucky to have found Ashley C. on Rover. Com. Ashley and her husband Brian boarded our 5 month old German Shepherd (Isa) from 7/24/23-7/29/23 at their home. Each morning Ashley sent me an update on Isa’s day without fail. She also included numerous pictures of Isa engaging in play with her own personal dogs. Although, prior to obtaining Isa, one of are greatest worries was that having another dog would tie us down and limit our vacations we enjoy taking. We knew having a German shepherd would be a bit hard to travel with for the most part. I did look at other boarding options but I found them to be lacking and caused me a few sleepless nights on where or who to leave Isa with. Ashley arranged a meet and greet and I knew in the 1st three minutes that Isa would be fine in Ashley’s home. Isa did wonderful and I did not have a single worry regarding Isa. Each picture showed me that she was thoroughly playing hard, engaged and loved all the romping around with Ashley’s dogs. They have a great yard and are certainly experienced in boarding dogs. They were very good at keeping her at home routine so she was comfortable. I couldn’t thank Ashley and Brian enough for the care they provided for Isa.”

About: My very first pet of my own is my beautiful calico cat, Nala. I love her beyond words and I would treat your fur baby just how I would want someone to care for mine! I have been cat sitting for over 10 years, as one of my very first jobs was watching my neighbors cat while they were on vacation. She was diabetic so I had to give insulin and make sure she was feeling okay without her mom and dad around. About: I’ve owned cats my whole life. My current cat is a sassy senior tortie named Queen. I'm well versed in reading body language through ears and tail. I have lots of experience with senior cats with health conditions; managing pet prescriptions and special diets. I'm comfortable administering medications if needed. In the past, I’ve taken care of my parent's diabetic asthmatic cat by giving her insulin injections daily as well as using an inhaler on her. Animal rescue is my biggest passion! About: I have taken care of my own dogs and family members dogs growing up. My family loves to take care of dogs. We will care for your dog like we would our own. I have 4 kids(1-16) so the dog must be good with small children. I do work during the week. Someone is home during the summer and school breaks. About: I am just starting to my fourth career, playing with your companion. I recently retired from teaching sustainable development at UAlbany. I now spend my days outside with hairy friend Herman. I picked up my first stray, Bandit, at 9. I have had a at least one dog since then, I am now 63. All from shelters or strays. I also did doggie foster care too. Known to be gentle and friend of the furry ones. I start each day with a morning meander across the 25 acres on a dead end road. Your companion will be well exercised, loved and cared for as long as they get along with my 14 year old hairy friend Herman, who lets cats eat from his dishes. He runs the place when it comes to house rules. He does not have viscous bone in his body. After three careers and global travel I am recently retired. My days are spent gardening, walking, sitting on the porch, listening to music, etc. I am rarely gone more than a few hours as Herman, my four legged friend, needs special care at 14 years old. I am typically up before dawn, no dog or alarm necessary. My day typically begins with me waking predawn and greeting the new day with my hound Herman on the 25 acres we cohabitate. Most is abandoned agriculture returning to forest for 35 plus years that is bisected by a small babbling brook. Breakfast is then served before returning outside. In climate weather I am outside more than 70% of my day outside. At 14 he chooses to stay in sometimes. Your companion will be free to make their own choice too. My life ambition is to nurture life. I have cared for pets since I was born as my family had cats. There is a fenced area that includes four shaded area. There will be plenty of water, including a baby pool for play as well as sprinklers. This area is shares two fences lines with my garden, has direct access to a walk out basement, and is fully visible from my porch. The dogs will have near 24/7 personal attention and care. I live sustainably. There are no chemicals in my lawn or garden. I have an enclosed porch that in the summer is open air, but no steps to escape. Only with your permission would I walk a guest off leash. Before walking them off leash I will need feel 100% confident they respond to command when other distractions are present. Again with your permission I would take your friend to a fenced in dog park visit as a trial run. Herman, my housemate, is a happy healthy 14 year old he is my best reference. He also has final word on all guest of all species. About an 1/2 acre is fenced with direct access from the house through the basement door. It includes shaded doggie lounges, a baby pool in the summer, toys galore, and lots of attention as the space is adjacent to my garden and the covered porch. It has the capacity to be divided if unruly dog needs to be isolated or there are little ones that just need time away from the bigger ones. Indoors, dogs are free to roam in the basement and first floor. If they are cage trained I can accommodate that. The two beds are off limits. To prevent misunderstanding with bed loving dogs I will keep my guest room. Both the porch and the living room couches are fine. Little ones may use chairs too. The house is really set up for Herman’s comfort and safety. The 32x10 covered front porch is a favorite of Herman and all his visiting friends. Your hairy friend will be delighted by this feature too. One more thing, the hardwood floors are currently covered in rubber “yoga mats” as Herman can not cope with slippery floors. There are also many large dog beds that Herman is happy to share. Opps, where are our manners; welcome to our slice of Paradise!😊

About: I always have waste bags, dog treats, and carriers with me. I have common vet meds memorized. I own plastic syringes. I’m a part of a group that provides emergency wildlife transport & rescue. I don’t scare easily if at all, and I know how to keep your pet, and myself safe— most importantly! I will care for your pet with so much patience, empathy, care, space (if needed), cuddles (if they are asking for it), or whatever is appropriate. Animals can do no wrong out of evil or malice in my eyes, they just need guidance and love and help! My biggest flaw as a sitter is that I tend to over communicate as a baseline — usually out of confirming their health / safety first — but I can discern what is an emergency and send summarized updates (i.e. by night or by weekend if housesitting longterm, for example.) I've taken care of a variety of different animals since I was very young, from dogs, cats, lizards, bunnies, chinchillas, guinea pigs etc. I've grown up living with dogs since I was a child so I'm extremely comfortable around many dog breeds big and small. Family, friends, neighbors and coworkers have relied on me for years to watch over, care for, walk, feed etc. their pets. I have lots of experience with big dogs and am really comfortable walking them, I grew up with 2 rottweilers and a great pyrenees so I'm used to a big dog on a leash. I am currently a college student with a light open schedule so I will be able to fit your needs pretty much however you need. I would make sure your pets safety is my number one priority and my second priority would be to make sure your furry friend is enjoying their time! We would play a bunch of games, go on walks (I have multiple woodsy paths near my home).
About: Hello! I have been a dog groomer for over 10 years and a part time dog walker for 5. I have recently become more available to take on another client or two. I have done long term dog walking and dog sitting for a few local families in the Cortland area. They love me and I love them and their pups! I'm currently employed as a psrt-time dog groomer and have been at this facility for 10 years. 5 years ago I began dog sitting and walking for a few local families and now that my children are older I'm able to take on another client or two. My weekly schedule is flexible but Friday's I'm unavailble all day due to a full client scheudle that day! I have three dogs, a cat, and some chickens. All my animals are up to date and we have an electric fence to maintain their boundary. They get alot fo walking, running (especially the goldendoodle,) naps, and lovin'. My clients pets get walked twice a day, sometimes three if needed. I have one family who just likes me to go and let them out, play some fetch, and lots of belly rubs. I have been asked to take pets for walks, emergency pick ups from boarding facilities, and asked to do feeding schedules.

I am a full-time teacher in Cincinnatus and I work at a bar in Cortland 1-2 days a week. I am a full time teacher in the Cincinnatus area. I work at a college bar 1-2 days a week, either open (3:30-9) or close (9-2) Anything that is a normal “day in the life” for your dog can definitely be done! If you have a fenced in yard you want me to let them out in or a walk around the neighborhood is great for me too!
About: Hi! I have taken care of my friend’s dogs for 8 years, while they’re out of town or just at work, from puppies to adults, and it’s a lot of fun! I work full time with a food delivery service, but I’m all over town all day and can be super flexible on when I need to take breaks As far as safety goes, I always walk dogs on a leash, and treat them with the same love and care as if they’re my own. About: I love animals of all kinds! Dogs are my favorite. I like them more than people. I had a Weimeraner for nearly 15 years and I miss him everyday. Dog sitting has been very theroputic for me. Im not working at this time. I'm out of work until further notice do to a repedative motion injury to my right arm. I am available Monday- Friday. I live in an apartment house located near a school. I have a back yard but it is not fenced in. It's a very nice area to walk dogs.

“We are so lucky to have found Ashley C. on Rover. Com. Ashley and her husband Brian boarded our 5 month old German Shepherd (Isa) from 7/24/23-7/29/23 at their home. Each morning Ashley sent me an update on Isa’s day without fail. She also included numerous pictures of Isa engaging in play with her own personal dogs. Although, prior to obtaining Isa, one of are greatest worries was that having another dog would tie us down and limit our vacations we enjoy taking. We knew having a German shepherd would be a bit hard to travel with for the most part. I did look at other boarding options but I found them to be lacking and caused me a few sleepless nights on where or who to leave Isa with. Ashley arranged a meet and greet and I knew in the 1st three minutes that Isa would be fine in Ashley’s home. Isa did wonderful and I did not have a single worry regarding Isa. Each picture showed me that she was thoroughly playing hard, engaged and loved all the romping around with Ashley’s dogs. They have a great yard and are certainly experienced in boarding dogs. They were very good at keeping her at home routine so she was comfortable. I couldn’t thank Ashley and Brian enough for the care they provided for Isa.”
