About: Welcome to my profile! For the past six years, I have studied and worked in Brooklyn, and I have delighted in walking and sitting dogs through Rover in each neighborhood I have lived in. Since moving away from home and having to leave the dogs I grew up with behind I love finding opportunities to spend time with animals and build trust and communication with them. My experience includes volunteering for animal rescues in DC and in Peru, sitting professionally for clients, and for friends, family, and neighbors, and working with positive reinforcement trainers for my family's dogs back home, who are reactive. I enjoy going on long walks, hikes, runs, and exploring the city, so if your dog is high energy, a puppy, or just needs a lot of stimulation and exercise, we would be a great fit! I also have experience watching older dogs or lower-energy breeds who simply need a calm place to stay. I can accommodate most schedules and reasonable requests, feel free to message if you have any questions and tell me more about your pup! One bonus - my apartment has an elevator and primate balcony with a potty area, so frequent potty breaks can be accommodated. Open to pickup and drop off, and last minute requests. I work at a lab 3 days a week, though I might have to go in on my off days to complete various tasks. Weekday sits work best for my schedule. My apartment is pretty dog-proofed. I make sure not to leave out anything toxic to dogs (gum, chocolate, etc...) and to put away anything I would not want to get destroyed. I am open to continuing any training you might have with your dog, such as sitting and waiting before a meal or ignoring other dogs on a walk.

About: I have trained 2 dogs from puppyhood. We recently lost our beautiful lab/Shepard rescue, Dianna to heart failure. She loved her walks and we miss her dearly. If I am having a busy workday, I still let the babies lay on my lap. Or when I get up for a moment, I give each doggo a pet and say hello I want them to feel loved and safe like they do in their own home. 3 No favoritism. Of course I have my favorites but I don’t tell the dogs that 🤷♀️ I work from home most of the week and my job is fairly flexible. Sometimes I will have to step out for an hour or two but there is always someone home. We offer plenty of treats, non toxic chews, bones (to dogs without allergies and who have been okayed). We have play mats, play puzzles, billions of toys, dog pools for the hot summer days and multiple gates, some installed (In case of aggressive eaters or food stealers), we are stocked with washable puppy pee pads ( in case your dog has issues using the potty, diapers will be requested if it is a medical issue), we have a lot of dog beds and dogs are allowed on the sofa and sleep in our bed (if they choose to). Oh yeah, your doggie will be placed into one of the four Harry Potter houses by the sorting hat lol. Tons of pictures will be provided!!
About: My biggest concern while I’m away on vacation is “how are my dogs doing?” They are like my children. I have used Rover in the past to watch my dogs and home while I’m on vacation. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and sometimes cats for 3 years at a few daycares and boarding facilities. I love animals and would love to provide care for them! “Charlette was great with my dog while I went away for two nights. I was hesitant to leave him with someone because he’s never stayed anywhere other than my house. Charlette assured me that everything would be okay and told my wife and I about other visits she’s had so I knew what to expect. I was given daily pictures and updates about how he was doing and I really comfortable with the amount of care he received. If I need to do a rover visit again I will definitely rebook with Charlette.”
“Raisa took wonderful care of our dog, Bonita! We could tell Bonita had a fun and comfortable stay, and she almost did not want to leave. Raisa went above and beyond by giving Bonita extra home-cooked dog food and comforting her during loud noises and thunderstorms. Bonita also loved spending time with her daughter and husband too. We are so thankful for the love and care Raisa and her family gave Bonita. Highly recommend and would definitely book again!”
“Mindy was truly amazing! Chichi clearly loved his few days at Mindy’s house while I was away and came home happy (unlike his previous stay at a kennel where he came home totally miserable!!) “As usual I was nervous leaving Shadow with someone new, but Michelle's home is so welcoming and Shadow took to Michelle and her home right away. She sent pictures a couple times a day and I could see from the photos that Shadow was relaxed and comfortable. That reassurance made my trip all the more relaxing.”
“Jodie and John were excellent with our dogs. We have an elderly dog and a dog with special needs. We couldn't have picked better people to watch our dogs while we were away. They sent pictures everyday and updates. They put meds in our elderly dog's eyes daily. Absolutely wonderful place to take your dogs to. Our dogs had the best time ever!!”
