“Excellent communication and dog-loving household for boarding. Our dog was well taken care of by Cate and family, who welcomed her along with their 2 nice dogs. Great location for us. Everything worked out great and we'll be returning soon!”

“Alex is a pleasure to deal with. Great communication and I got multiple pictures every day of my pup. Alex is very comfortable with the dogs and is comfortable with Jet. This is Jets’s third visit!”

“Destiny was very accommodating with my odd work hours (12 hour night shifts) and took great care of my two pups. It was so nice to have peace of mind while at work that they were being well loved!”

“This was the best Rover experience for me! Susan made sure my dog is safe and feels comfortable. My dog easily gets nervous with strangers, but she got used to the new environment faster than normal. I felt like Susan is really good with handling dogs too because she has great amount of experience with dogs. I really appreciate her updates, photos, and all the accommodations she has made for us. Thank you!!😊”

“Laura is an incredible caregiver to our 1 year old energetic and affectionate beagle! She is responsive, nurturing, and thoughtful! I feel so assured when our pup is in Laura’s care. 100% recommend!”

“Chantal was amazing with my pets! She kept me updated the entire time and made me feel at ease while they were in her care. They came back happy and well taken care of. I would absolutely book with her again!”

“I am fully comfortable leaving Marley with Andrea. During her stay, Marley had some stomach issues, and Andrea kept me updated the entire time. Sometimes after staying with a sitter, Marley can be a bit clingy. You would not know I was gone with how relaxed she was when I returned. I highly recommend Andrea!”

“Ashley and her family are kind, dog loving folk who leave you completely assured that your pet will be treated like family; which is exactly what happened! They even gave my food fussy Aussie butter bread! (her favorite treat). :>)”

About: I've had dogs my entire life from puppies to rescues! I've also been a grooming salon manager in Ithaca for 9 years. I've cared for many different breeds, ages, temperaments, and quirks all dogs have and I love them all the same. I have two dogs of my own Luke and Yoda. Luke is a 6 year old lab mix around 35 lbs. He is very loving and playful. Yoda is a 5 year old miniature fox terrier mix who has unlimited energy and is the sweetest snuggler. I am home all day with my baby and two dogs of my own so I can give the same care to some extra dogs! I treat every dog as if they are my own. I have lots of extra blankets to make sure they have there own space (i do recommend to bring some of there stuff like blankets, beds, and toys to make them more comfortable) and have extra room to separate them if they need to be alone. I will always make sure they are comfortable, happy, loved, and safe!
“Our bulldog Leia had an amazing time! She played a ton in the huge, fenced-in yard and seemed to be very well cared for and received a lot of personal attention. We received a lot of nice updates with photos and videos. She was very tired when she got home which is great! We hope to have Leia stay with Robert and Eileen again when we travel in the future.”

“Aaron and Kaylee were able to take care of my dog when I could not. They were great and flexible, allowing me to add another night at the last minute, a life saver! My dog came back to me happy and tired, thank you!”

“I have found my go to sitter in Mary K! This was our 2nd time with her, she is a great match for both me and my dogs. Very loving with them, and very communicative with me. We can't wait to come back!”

“We are so grateful to Maxine! She took care of our pup on short notice when we had an emergency. Archie had a great time and we were relieved he was taken care of while we were away.”

“Monica was amazing with our dog! He came home happy, healthy, and was clearly well taken care of. He also had a great time with their dog. I will most definitely use her services again!”

“This was our first boarding experience with Hiedi, and it could not have gone better. I was concerned my dog might be anxious being left overnight, but much the opposite. He was over the top excited to play with the other boarder and day care dogs. Hiedi keeps her experienced professional eyes on them, so you never need to worry one bit. He came home wonderfully tired out, but more importantly happy. He ate well, slept well, and was clearly very comfortable there. He wants to know when we are going back!! I will be using Hiedi again. So nice to feel you can go away and your dog is cared for just as well as in your own home.”

About: Hi, I’m Katie, and I’ve been taking care of dogs my whole life. My family has 6 dogs total, from a Chihuahua to Pit Bulls, so I’m quite familiar with taking care of different sizes, ages, and breeds. I also have experience taking care of senior dogs with special needs, as I used to own a blind and deaf dog. I’m happy to pet sit overnight or just take your dog on a walk! I’m definitely a homebody, so your pet can have my undivided attention. It would genuinely make me so happy to take care of your dog, please feel free to reach out! I’m currently working part-time and taking classes remotely, so I’m almost always home. My work days are on the weekends, but on weekdays I am completely free! While I work weekends, I work close enough to home to be able to check-in during my breaks. I do not have any pets at home, so any pets can expect my undivided attention. I do not have a yard, but I am happy to take dogs for long walks around campus!
“Thank you Ray! Pepper had a great time! It was nice to get photos and videos of you all out and about while we were away. Will definitely call you again when we need a safe fun place for Pepper and Oona when we travel again!”

“I recently boarded my babe with Ellen & her son John, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. They were incredibly friendly and were even fine w/ a Meet & Greet prior to Zoë’s stay. The facility seemed clean and well-maintained, with plenty of space for playtime and socializing. I appreciated the regular updates and photos they sent me, which reassured me that my dog was having a great time. I highly recommend John and Ellen for anyone looking for quality care for their fur baby!”

“Jessica and Eric are wonderful hosts for our dogs. We have been lucky enough to have used their hospitality twice now and our dogs love being with them. They get plenty of exercise, attention and love from their family. Our oldest dog doesn’t come home with the anxiety she gets while being at a dog kennel which is great. We will continue to use Jessica for our dog boarding needs and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a loving home for their pets.”

“This was the 2nd time Ashley has watched our cats while we were out of town, and she is absolutely amazing! She takes such great care of our cats and always keeps us updated. I highly recommend her!”

“We're repeat customers of Glenna, who once again went above and beyond in caring for our two cats. She demonstrated extraordinary initiative and consideration in making sure their needs were met, they were kept safe, and our home was a welcoming place for both them and us when we returned from our trip. Massively recommend Glenna, she is a superstar.”

About: I’ve owned cats my whole life. My current cat is a sassy senior tortie named Queen. I'm well versed in reading body language through ears and tail. I have lots of experience with senior cats with health conditions; managing pet prescriptions and special diets. I'm comfortable administering medications if needed. In the past, I’ve taken care of my parent's diabetic asthmatic cat by giving her insulin injections daily as well as using an inhaler on her. Animal rescue is my biggest passion! When I was growing up, my mother fostered many cats and kittens for the SPCA. That is where my love of cats began; helping mom take care of the fosters as a young child. I recognize that every pet has a different personality and different needs. I look forward to discussing your pet's needs.

“Victoria is an incredible cat sitter. Our cats require a lot of time and attention, and she handled all of their idiosyncrasies with incredible dexterity. We would highly recommend. She was able to give one of our cats both immunotherapy injections and eyedrops. She communicated well and consistently, and we always felt that our cats were in the best of hands. The best, five stars, two thumbs up, certified fresh.”

“Our cats loved Tammy! She kept us up to date with pictures and anything important around the house. She asked lots of great questions to make sure the kitties were happy and taken care of.”

“Rebooked with Lauren! She’s so amazing with my cat, Meekhas. Let’s your pet come to her when they’re ready. Lauren is also reliable and communicative as a sitter! Highly recommend.”

“Jenna did a wonderful job taking care of my pets. She was communicative with me through my vacation, and sent updates, pictures, and videos. She patiently won over my two skittish cats, who are scared of new people. She is a great choice, I would definitely book her again!”

“Abby is awesome! Abby spent time with to learn our two cats. Abby is wonderful to work with and makes your time away from home stress free. I am lucky to have met Abby. She quickly figured out both of our unique kitties! 🐈 😺”

“It has been such a pleasure getting to know Kait before her upcoming week stay with our dogs! Our dogs seem to love her already and she’s so friendly, courteous, dependable, positive, and knowledgeable. So grateful to have found her!”

“Yazmeen follow all the directions I left and that dogs really like her. It was our first time having someone come to our house to check on the dogs and feed them instead of boarding. It went so smoothly we will definitely request her again. Thank you Yazmeen!”

“Kelly did a great job checking in on our girl. She kept us updated on her walks and play time and Ripley was all smiles when we got home. We will definitely book with Kelly in the future.”

“Susan kept in touch with me on my dog's first day care try. My dog did not get along with the other dog, so she kept them separated until I could get there to pick my dog up. Susan was very patient with him and kept him company. The problem was my dog and I will contact her again for a solo stay.”

“Our dog was nervous at first with being in a new situation. But he immediately took to Destiny. She has a wonderful way with dogs, very gentle and caring. She later let us know that he had settled in nicely. It seems he had a great day - came home tired in a good way. We hope to call on Destiny again.”

“I am working out of town and Caterina has been a god send for letting me take my puppy with me during the week. She is tucked away in the country with lots of walks and interactions with other doggy friends, which my girl loves. Highly recommend!”

“Alex was super communicative before, during, and after Jack’s daycare visit. He made Jack feel very comfortable when we arrived and was attentive to any extra care he’d need as a senior dog. Jack will be back!”

“We were in town for a few days needing last minute doggie daycare and Laura’s place was exactly what my dog needed! My pup got to socialize with others and came home happy, fed, and non-stressed. We will definitely use Laura again next time we are in Ithaca!”

“My yellow lab, Sandy, had a wonderful day with Claudia! Claudia was very responsive and engaging, fun, and bubbly. Since she was going to be taking care of another dog on the same day that I booked Sandy's stay, Claudia suggested that we meet both her and Bella (cutest pug ever!) ahead of time to see how the two dogs would get along. It was so nice to be able to do that so that it was easy for me to just drop Sandy off on her booked day without a worry. Claudia sent me fun videos and pictures throughout the day, which was fantastic. Sandy loved her! I will definitely book Claudia again whenever I am in Ithaca! She was fabulous!!”

“Chantal is a fabulous rover who always takes such sweet care of my puppy. He absolutely loves her and warmed up to her within minutes at our meet and greet. Chantal follows directions and provides great care with updates. Kind, intuitive, and nurturing she provided excellent care while my puppy recovered from a stomach bug. He gets excited every time we pull up to her home and happily awaits weekly visits. Great rover reliable and sincere, she completely turned our Rover experience around after a negative experience with a different Rover the first time we used the app. Repeat customer, we can always count on Chantal to offer amazing services.”

“Kyle took excellent care of my elderly Maltese, Sammy. It was a relief that he was able to take care of Sammy on short notice and give my skittish dog a calm place to stay. He always responded quickly to messages and sent me a picture of Sammy each day. I would happily let him watch Sammy again if we come back to Ithaca.”

“Bianca was absolutely amazing! We really couldn’t have asked for more. She was so flexible and kind to our dog, Mocha. She played with our dog and did training sessions with her. She also has a fun, playful dog, Bear! Bianca also sent us updates about Mocha as well as super cute videos and pictures. We would definitely go with Bianca in the future, and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fun and safe place for their dog to stay!!”

“My dog had a fabulous time at daycare with Mikia, her daughter and her dog Zara. I received some great photos (including some funny ones of the dogs wrestling) and felt comfortable knowing the dog was having a good time, socializing and burning off her adolescent energy while I was at work. Highly recommend!”

“We were passing through town and needed daycare for our chihuahua. Shihong took Peanut on short notice, picked her up to take her on a walk around the block with his dog, Cotton, and reported back that things were going well! Peanut had a couple accidents in the house and he was unfazed. He was diligent about socializing her to his dog and by the end of the day they were snuggled in the crate together. Wish we could bring Peanut to Shihong every day! Highly recommend.”

“Hiedi was over the top great! She went above and beyond to give my dog Archie a great first daycare experience. She went to lengths to make sure he was comfortable with her dog, and vice versa. He came home totally happy, relaxed and tired. He can't wait to see Hiedi and Kenzi again!!”

“I cannot overstate what a lifesaver Jennifer was on our vacation. We had an air BNB that allowed dogs, but not unattended and were visiting friends with a cat who turned out to be dog phobic. We booked Jennifer the day before we left and she was so welcoming and flexible with pick up and drop off times and with her extensive kennel hours. My dog loved her own special vacation; with puppy playtime and hiking in the woods. She came home relaxed and super tired! The true marker of her own good review, was how happy she was to go back the next day! Thanks, Jennifer :)”

About: My whole life I have been into only 1 thing! And that is animals. By the age of 13 I was volunteering at a local horse rescue everyday after school and by the age of 18 I was volunteering at my local SPCA feeding and walking dogs. I went to college at SUNY Cobleskill for 4yrs and graduated with honors and received my bachelors degree in Animal Science. I studied many different training techniques with both horses and small animals, I even learned how to clicker train a chicken! ;) I’ve taken classes in care, management, training, behavior issues and many more. After graduation I became a riding instructor and horse trainer at a near by stable. I now run my own business as an equine dentist which leaves me with tons of extra time as I usually only schedule trips 1-2x a week! I currently have 4 horses, 2 cats, 1 really friendly German Shepherds, small Maltese, a ball python, and a Quaker Parrot named Echo. I have my own business! As an equine dentist I normally can only visit farms when owners are home so that means most weekend days are spent doing that while during the weekdays I’m totally free! Yard behind the house for the dogs, it is fenced off. We own a 3 bedroom so plenty of room for more animals! I am right in town so I can take dogs for walks or to the park. I share my house with my bf and his 10yr old sister who is my foster daughter. Also a huge animal person!
“Thank you for taking such great care of Mia and providing the update and pictures. I truly appreciate it! I loved the pictures you sent and shared them with my family. She slept well last night after having so much fun at your home. Thanks again!”

“This was our second time having Ashley help us while we were out of town and everything went so smooth! We got great updates and plenty of amazing photos of our dog while she was walking him. Highly recommend choosing Ashley to help with your animals!”

“We are so thankful for Kirsten. She was able to come over and walk our dog for a few days on short notice. We had no problem trusting her with our fur babies and she sent the cutest photos of them which definitely cheered me up while I was away at work!”

About: I have pet care experience that dates back to my early teenage-hood. In addition, my family has had large dogs that I help to care for since I was very young. Currently I own a 5-year old cat and it has been such a joy to finally know the pleasure or living and loving with a cat! As my experience shows, I truly love animals of all kinds and I know how to best understand what each pet needs and how to accommodate to varying needs. I look forward to helping out with your furry friend😊 I am currently a part-time herbal medicine student living in Ithaca, NY. Because of my status, I have lots of availability to watch your furry friend! I like to enter a relationship with a new pet by first meeting them while their owner is around. I find this fosters a sense of safety and trust off the bat. I understand that sometimes it takes a lot of time and patience for a pet to feel comfortable with you and I try to never overstep their comfort level until they feel ready to engage.

About: Hey! I'm Yazmeen. I've been petsitting for the last 8 years. I started with my sister and continued on my own. I have experience giving medication and with senior dogs as well as kittens. I love a long walk if the dog is up for it, and I'm always down to play and snuggle. Let me know if you're interested! My schedule is pretty flexible right now. I I usually wake up early, so I don't mind an early walk or feeding schedule. I typically go to bed around 11pm-midnight, but I am happy to work around a pet's schedule, especially to accommodate any medications or weather. I was raised to leave things better than I found them, so I always do a thorough clean before I leave a petsitting gig (including washing sheets, so you can go straight to bed!) I can also bring in mail and water plants if you give me a watering schedule.

“Claudia took great care of my Hank! She sent lots of pictures and updates and went above and beyond to care for my senior dog in giving him his medication, taking him on walks, and giving him treats. Would definitely recommend!!”

“Amazing! Super accommodating with drop off and pick up times, and my dog had a great time with her and her dog. Came home happy and exhausted. Would definitely recommend and use again!”

About: For any and all services I provide I will be seeking guidance from the pet owner for preferred handling as people treat their pets differently (allowed on furniture, leash vs off leash, feeding times, etc.) Most of my pet sitting experience has been at their home and i have cared for up to four dogs and two cats (plus chickens and fish). I have also babysat for a cat and a few different dogs at my place. I enjoy an active lifestyle and live near state lands so lots of hiking is usually on the agenda (for dogs anyway). I recently put down my aging cat and have found life is lonely without him, but I am not ready to replace him just yet. Rover seems like a great way to get my fix and earn some extra money along the way. I work full time Monday through Friday and have hour long lunch breaks if midday breaks are needed for your pets. Weekends are for serious play! I live on a low traffic road near a state forest. Access to trails from my back door and a large (unfenced) yard to roam. When staying in someone’s home I treat it like my own with care.
