“Paula W. 100% 5 star GEM We had less than 24 hrs notice. Our cats eyesight was deteriorating and my anxiety was uncontrollable. I couldn't leave her alone. It is February and the weather is as bad as can be. Freezing rain on top of snow. We never met Paula but she said YES, she would help us! Amazing!! Paula showed up a few minutes early. I immediately felt comfortable and confident that my cat would be well taken care of while I was away for a few hours. Paula was great! About: When I was a little girl, I read the warrior cat series and fell in love with cats. I decided I had to have one. It took me over two years to convince my parents, but once I got my first (a five year that had been abandoned at the shelter on Christmas) I was hooked. I love every cat, not just my own. Eventually even the most aloof, unfriendly, feral old curmudgeon of a kitty has my respect. I will never force a cat that doesn't want to be bothered to give me attention. That said, I'm very good at doing towel burritos around them if they do need to get a nail trimming or insulin injection. I love to play with them and find new ways to give them enrichment. I really believe cats deserve the attention and commitment dogs do.
About: As an experienced and long time foster, I have cared for dogs in my home with varying needs and personalities. I provide lots of affection, as well as necessary structure, to ensure a balanced and fun stay for all. My husband Mike has boundless affection and energy for all pups! We are both longtime brooklynites who made the move upstate to a lovely house with 9 acres of grass and woods for dogs to safely explore. I am an avid runner and am happy to tire out dogs that want to get a good jog in; our huge comfy couch and other nap spots around the house are ready for pups who prefer to simply relax. About: I’m a mommy of two furbabies, Freya and Medea, the chihuahua sis. My husband and I are both animal lovers and have own dogs our whole life and we are excited to offer a safe and caring experience for your furbaby when needed! Note: Freya and Medea dislike cats, therefore, we are unable to take any cat guests. I do apologize for this inconvenience. I’m currently working on a hybrid schedule where I work from home most of the times so your furbaby will hardly be left alone. If I have to go into the office, it would be no more than 4 hours (once or twice a week at most). If guest pet ever need to be left alone, you will be notified ahead of time and our furbabies will be separated in a different room. We have a ginormous fenced in backyard that your furbaby can roam around throughout the day with our two 10-yo laid back-couch potatoes chihuahua sisters, Freya and Medea. I’m a helicopter dog mom so rest assured no pups will be left outside with no supervision. Pups are allowed on furnitures, welcomed to sleep with us, and will never be crated (unless instructed otherwise). We are homebodies and have plenty of time to entertain and love on your furbaby! Spending time away from human-parents and being in a stranger home can be a stressful time, we will do our best to make them feel like a part of our pack. About: I've grown up taking care of multiple dogs and cats my entire life! I love playing with animals and giving them lots of attention. I enjoy taking dogs on sniff walks and playing mentally enriching games with them! I have often taken care of family and friends' animals throughout the years. I am reliable, punctual, and have a very flexible schedule! I recently moved back into the area and don't have a set schedule, so I have lots of availability! I am available all day every day except for Wednesdays and Saturdays. On Wednesdays I am available in the morning and afternoon until 3 pm. On Saturdays I am available late afternoons and evenings after 3 pm. I will spend a minimum of 30 minutes at your house, providing your animal with whatever care it needs, as well as lots of love and attention! Depending on the services provided and your dogs actively level I would love to take them for a long walk or chase each other in the backyard. I am currently a nursing student so I enjoy having an outlet of pet therapy to distract from the stress of school work.
About: I have been taking care of animals for as long I could remember. Growing up I always had pets that I’ve cared for and learned from then on about feeding my pets to taking them for a walk so doctors visits etc. I’ve had a lot of pets growing up ranging from rabbits to guinea pigs, dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, ferret, turtle. All were very well cared for and very loved. I love being around animals and being able to help out people who are working long hours and need some extra help with caring for their loved fur baby. I’m very familiar with dog and cat sitting for other people and taking dogs on walks. I usually go to other people’s houses to care for the animals because I find it easier for the owner. About: I’ve taken care of young puppies, energetic dogs and senior pets as well. We are an outdoorsie family and like to go for long walk and hikes with our dog. High energy pet is a no problem! Our current dog is a senior, so we have a nice accommodating environment for her and other senior pups. I’m staying home currently with a baby. I decided to start providing pet care for extra income and for interacting with other animals, as we are not a able to get more animals at this time. “Chester was absolutely fabulous when we had him watch Rocco, our 100lb Catahoula Leopard Dog. My father passed way in a different state so we were trying to find someone to watch Rocco either in our home or theirs so we could attend services. He was a rescue a year ago and didn’t want to put him in a kennel or place where he would think he was being abandoned. After reading that Chester not only boards dogs in his home, but has a large property for long walks and a fenced in area for play, I felt confident contacting him. Chester was able to accommodate our last minute request and had a meet and greet that same day. Rocco met the other dog he was boarding at the time and being Rocco loves other dogs, he was excited to be there which made me feel even better. Having access to other rooms, I one this was the place for him. While away, Chester sent us pictures, videos, and a brief summary every day to let us know how Rocco was doing. We saw Rocco getting walks, playing with the other dogs, getting treats, playing with toys, and just relaxing. That put us at ease knowing Chester treated him like his own. I would definitely recommend Chester and we will definitely have Rocco there again one day.”
