I can handle large, medium, and small dogs and will look to give them long walks and lots of exercise as a good dog is a tired dog. About: I have always had a special connection with dogs. I grew up with dogs and treated them like part of the family. I have been primarily working as a pet nanny for 5 years for someone who traveled to Europe on a monthly basis. They are staying in Europe indefinitely so I am looking to add some new clients. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

About: My own dogs are always the #1 teacher. They show me how to best care for them - with food, play, training, medications, travel, sleepless days and nights when they've been ill, and giving them all them comfort I can. I've volunteered at dog shelters, spent hours walking dogs in all kinds of weather, and offered comfort to friends who've had to say goodbye to their best fur friends. I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pets plenty of attention - playing, feeding, and scratching behind the ears. I take my dog for swims in the river, off leash romps in the woods, and leashed walks around town. We also play fetch and tug-of-war in the house or on the deck. If your dog needs a playmate, my dog, Jackson, may be a good fit. My cats - depending on their mood - like to lounge in the sun, pounce on the occasional toy, run up stairs, and hunt for treats I've hidden for them.

About: I have always had a special relationship to animals that is mutually beneficial. I not only bring an infinite amount of love to their lives but they return such energy. I find so much pleasure in forming bonds with animals, even for short periods of time. I love to volunteer and have done so at local SPCAs and even at a zoo in Peru that held practically every type of animal! I myself have owned many cats, raising two since they were kittens. I grew up around dogs as well and they grew to be my best friends through hard times. I even owned a pig and chickens! About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, and I’ve loved each of them tremendously. At the moment I have two beautiful rescue dogs! I have my own dog who is my best friend, and a part of my family. “We had SUCH a wonderful experience with Meghan & Sean—and so did our pup! Our 3yo dog is nervous around new people and can be reactive. We were worried about how she would do staying with a family with young kids. Meghan & Sean listed to our worries and helped up brainstorm ways to put our dog at ease. And it worked like a charm! We were so grateful to the extra time Meghan & Sean spent to make both the humans and the doggo feel positive about the plan. We loved getting pics of the crew on their daily walks. It was also really really REALLY nice to see how much love Meghan and fam have for all animals, and how positive they were about our sometimes tricky dog. Our dog had a great week and we will definitely return to Meghan & Sean for future doggy needs, whether it is another week or a shorter visit. Highly recommend, zero notes!”

“Marika was amazing! Feel very fortunate to have gotten her on short notice. My Viszla mix Susie loved her immediately. Marika took her on lots of walks (with tick check afterwards), sent updates, and her house/backyard space were perfect for an active breed. She went above and beyond when it came to making sure Susie was stimulated, making up little games for her to play with the squirrels and rabbits. Anytime I'm in the area I'll definitely be looking to book with Marika.”
