About: I’ve worked in animal welfare for 20 years and have experience with every size, breed and need! I’m comfortable administering medication and most importantly, I love animals so much that I’ve dedicated my life to them :). I work full time from home. I have flexible hours and usually go on several walks around my neighborhood a day. The longest I’d be away from home ranges from 2-4 hours and that can be adjusted based on your pets’ needs. I have a fenced yard and lots of love to give! There’s plenty of space in my house for crate(s) and I also welcome dog snuggles if they are allowed to sleep in the bed. I don’t have any other pets in the home but have lots of friends with dogs if yours likes the company.

They show me how to best care for them - with food, play, training, medications, travel, sleepless days and nights when they've been ill, and giving them all them comfort I can. About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

About: I have taken care of animals my whole life - from family pets, to pets of my own. I love all animals. We do not deserve them, but I do my best to earn their love every day. One of my kitties requires a pill twice a day, so I am an expert at administering pills to cats as well. I am also very good about making sure they have the freshest litter and litter boxes. I even house their litter boxes in special enclosures to give them privacy and a place of their own to do their business. From caring for my own pets, to feeding the squirrels and birds in my backyard, to rescuing stray cats - my love for animals knows no bounds. All animals deserve love, and I promise to care for you pets as if they were my own ❤️ I work full-time for a non-profit, but I work from home 3 days a week and only go into the office 2 times a week. This means I have some flexibility in my schedule on week days. On weekends I am wide open! At my home, I have a routine with my animals. They are fed right around the same times everyday, they are given fresh water twice a day, my one cat gets his medicine at the same time twice a day, and they all get a lot of pets and some treats daily as well. My puppy gets at least 2 walks a day, some swim time if the weather is nice, and A LOT of play time with her many toys every day. My cats do not like to play much now that they are older, but I do my best to keep them active with the few toys they show interest in. I have also converted my back porch into an enclosed catio in order to fulfill their dreams of being outdoor cats! “Janice and her family took such good care of Moo while we were gone. We don’t typically leave Moo when we go places, so we were a little nervous to not be with her for the weekend but all our worries were squashed when we arrived at the property and saw all the land and how Janice and her family loved Moo. We got many pictures and updates which were incredibly appreciated. We will be using Janice whenever we need someone to watch Moo or if Moo just needs a farm getaway! Can’t recommend enough.”

“Sophia is so lovely and gentle. I felt very confident that she would be a sweet caretaker for Fiona. She sent me photos and responded quickly. She was very upfront when we met about other things she would be doing while Fiona was there and I really appreciated her doing so. We were able to talk about Fiona’s needs and quirks and how best to address them for everyone’s benefit. Would definitely use her again when she’s in town!”
“We had SUCH a wonderful experience with Meghan & Sean—and so did our pup! Our 3yo dog is nervous around new people and can be reactive. We were worried about how she would do staying with a family with young kids. Meghan & Sean listed to our worries and helped up brainstorm ways to put our dog at ease. And it worked like a charm! We were so grateful to the extra time Meghan & Sean spent to make both the humans and the doggo feel positive about the plan. We loved getting pics of the crew on their daily walks. It was also really really REALLY nice to see how much love Meghan and fam have for all animals, and how positive they were about our sometimes tricky dog. Our dog had a great week and we will definitely return to Meghan & Sean for future doggy needs, whether it is another week or a shorter visit. Highly recommend, zero notes!”
