“Chaqutia looked after my pup, Ralph, for just over a week. I was nervous about leaving him for such a long period of time especially as he was unwell. Chaqutia put my mind at ease instantly and sent updates multiple times throughout the day of both photos and videos as well as a report of how he did with his food and confirming he took his meds. Any questions I had or suggestions I made, she responded to promptly. She’s a very kind and caring person and also very responsible with things like a camera set up in the room dogs sleep in to check on throughout the night. She was flexible with both pick up and drop off times and really listened to our needs Her home is beautiful, large and on a very quiet secluded road which was reassuring as less traffic. About: I've been pet sitting since I was 11 years old, and every year I love my job more. I've looked after dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish and one delightful macaw, and each one I've fallen in love with like they were my own. I enjoy finding what makes every pet happy; does your dog need to sleep clutching her blanket or does your guinea pig brandish hay like it's a sword? No problem. Every animal is unique. I can't wait to meet yours! Important: I do not accept bookings without seeing the house / meeting you & your pets beforehand. This is both for my safety and for your pets’ safety. I am currently a college student, so I am most free on the weekends and nights after 6. Though I'm busy, please believe I will make every effort to be there for you and your pet if you need me. From May to August and mid December to late January, I am free almost all of the time. I do not care for pets in my own home, as there is not enough space, but if I am hired to care for a pet in your home, I will of course respect whatever rules you have for your space. Some clients prefer me to spend time at their houses and "make myself at home" as it were to keep their pet company; some prefer I only stick to my specific jobs. Whichever you prefer, that's completely fine.

“At first, I struggled with the thought of leaving my grand dog (Zyla is my daughter’s dog), because Zyla really is treated like a family member and Zyla is our everything but Monica was wonderful. Monica sent multiple photos throughout the day which reassured us that Zyla was ok. From the photos I could tell that Zyla was having a blast. Zyla made a new furry friend and two human friends. Monica not only sent me photos but updated me throughout the day on Zyla’s activities which eased my worry as well. About: When I was 8 years old, I started an animal sitting business in my neighborhood. By the time I was 10, I had over 50 clients, with animals ranging from bird to dog, cat to guinea pig, wild outdoor foxes to indoor sugar gliders. I learned a lot in the ten years that I had these clients (by the time I graduated from high school, I had over 200!), but the number one thing I learned is that every animal is different. Even if they are the same breed, each animal has different motivations, different needs. I started working as a dog trainer, specifically for behavioral issues, in my early 20s. I have a special place in my heart for dogs that need some paw holding, structure, and reassurance. That's actually why I took my most recent dog, Poppy. No one else wanted her, and the pound that I pulled her from had already shaved her leg to euthanize her that very hour. It took me years to get her to be the amazing, confident, and loving dog she became. And it was well worth it, and I learned so much! Poppy sadly passed in 2025 at 14 years old. It's too quiet here without a dog, so I started sitting. What has happened since has been nothing short of miraculous, watching an ever changing dog pack of pups that need love, attention, and structure while their parents are away at work or on vacation. We would love to add your pup to the crew! We have no children, no pets, a fenced in yard, and a 3 story safe space for any type of animal that needs care (with baby gates at every stair.) Monica runs daycare and boarding full time, and Jeremy works from home, so there is rarely a time that there is no one in the house. We have a great quiet neighborhood for walking, plus a fenced in yard for extra potty breaks and play time. I believe that every animal has their own needs, and I know every pet parent has their own rules. All home rules will be respected (e.g. not allowed on the couch at home? Not allowed on the couch here). Weekdays we have doggy daycare- I allow up to 5 dogs as long as it's the right mix. Our 2-3 regulars are well trained and very welcoming. Before booking a stay for boarding or daycare, I will require you come to the house with your pup(s) to check out the space and make sure it's the right fit. I will outline my usual day for the client, and we can add or subtract anything that’s needed for them. I have puzzles, toys, lots of comfy blankets, and dog beds. I’m happy to work on any training that they may need- and at the end of the day, I’m here to provide trusted service. I will always treat the pets in my home as my own, and will treat them with respect and love.

About: If you’d ask anyone in my life they will tell you I am a dog person more than human person. I’ve always had immense love for all dogs and do my best to play off their personality :). My three years of experience at a dog daycare/boarding facility has taught me patience with all dogs. I can provide feeding, walking, medicating (have cared for diabetics) and can be a temporary companion for your baby if needed :) While I was in my undergrad I had the wonderful experience of fostering a pitty mix from my local spca for 3 months. When we got him he was extremely underweight and was having a hard time in the shelter. I nursed him back to the happy guy he was all along and he’s now in a happy loving home 🖤 I’m currently working part time and taking classes as I am in the process of completing a masters program. I do not know the days I work week to week but am available to give services 3 times a day (7amish, 2pmish, and in the pm). My family dog is a grazer so we just put some food out for the day and he’ll eat whenever. If your pups have scheduled meals I’m 100% able to work with it. If your pup is high energy and my schedule is open I’m available to play with them, find a park or take them for a walk to give them enrichment. I've worked with all breeds of dogs, ages with many different dispositions. My husband & I moved from Brooklyn(where we had our biz since 2006) to New Paltz this summer. We are continuing to do personal & very limited boarding in our new home. I(Maria) am also offering private training sessions(in your home) . I specialize in puppy or newly adopted pups/dogs. Doggie care is part of my daily routine. I have 2 dogs of my own, both less energy less days, but still enjoy getting their walks & sniffs in. The very limited boarding means your dogs stay with our family, always supervised & leashed outside. We have many dogs beds but can bring your own.

“Chaqutia looked after my pup, Ralph, for just over a week. I was nervous about leaving him for such a long period of time especially as he was unwell. Chaqutia put my mind at ease instantly and sent updates multiple times throughout the day of both photos and videos as well as a report of how he did with his food and confirming he took his meds. Any questions I had or suggestions I made, she responded to promptly. She’s a very kind and caring person and also very responsible with things like a camera set up in the room dogs sleep in to check on throughout the night. She was flexible with both pick up and drop off times and really listened to our needs Her home is beautiful, large and on a very quiet secluded road which was reassuring as less traffic. Her family are truly lovely and her eldest child played with Ralph lots (particularly loved those videos) Would definitely use Chaqutia again and recommend her to others!”

“Mildred and her family were incredibly wonderful to Luna and to me! They lived her like their own, and even fell IN love with her! I had lots of pictures from her even showing her lying on of the beds being pet. Luna is anxious and they either with her to warm up, there are two couples in the house and her son and they all take care of the dogs. What a wonderful place to leave your pup.”

“Andrea is a beautiful, intelligent and compassionate professional. She cares about the animals she looks after while 'pet parents' are away. She reduces anxieties naturally by listening carefully and observing astutely. Hygge had never been away or 'boarded' for pet sitting prior to my experience with Andrea. At all times she was communicative, caring and purposeful in her interactions with Hygge, who probably worried about being in a new home away from home for a few days on many levels. My transportation plans were delayed due to a severe storm that prevented my scheduled pick up, and Andrea was patient, reasonable and loving during my own stress about being stuck in NYC beyond my control for the pick up of my dog after traveling for a few days. She worked with me every step of the way, and the boarding experience was a total success even with transportation issues. Hygge returned home happy, healthy, well-nourished and satisfied with renewed confidence in his ability to work with another lovely family in our sweet community in a spirit of trust and sucess. All in all, I would recommend Andrea to work with anyone who has pets they love and want to broaden the scope of their pet's world by allowing Andrea to work with them and care for them. Andrea also understands the complexities of rescue animals, and will work with you so all are informed and kept in safe environments that nourish everyone's positive potential. “David and his wonderful family are the definition of “above and beyond” when watching our pup Eleanor! He took very special care to provide enrichment, exercise, and to make sure all of her needs were met. He kept diligent notes for us, was an excellent communicator, and was clearly so invested in the health and happiness of our pup. He even sent us home with a couple of treats he’d found out she liked! He’s absolutely wonderful and I cannot recommend him enough.”
