She reduces anxieties naturally by listening carefully and observing astutely. Hygge had never been away or 'boarded' for pet sitting prior to my experience with Andrea. At all times she was communicative, caring and purposeful in her interactions with Hygge, who probably worried about being in a new home away from home for a few days on many levels. My transportation plans were delayed due to a severe storm that prevented my scheduled pick up, and Andrea was patient, reasonable and loving during my own stress about being stuck in NYC beyond my control for the pick up of my dog after traveling for a few days. She worked with me every step of the way, and the boarding experience was a total success even with transportation issues. Hygge returned home happy, healthy, well-nourished and satisfied with renewed confidence in his ability to work with another lovely family in our sweet community in a spirit of trust and sucess. All in all, I would recommend Andrea to work with anyone who has pets they love and want to broaden the scope of their pet's world by allowing Andrea to work with them and care for them. It is February and the weather is as bad as can be. Freezing rain on top of snow. We never met Paula but she said YES, she would help us! Amazing!! Paula showed up a few minutes early. About: When I was a little girl, I read the warrior cat series and fell in love with cats. I decided I had to have one. It took me over two years to convince my parents, but once I got my first (a five year that had been abandoned at the shelter on Christmas) I was hooked. I love every cat, not just my own. Eventually even the most aloof, unfriendly, feral old curmudgeon of a kitty has my respect. I will never force a cat that doesn't want to be bothered to give me attention. That said, I'm very good at doing towel burritos around them if they do need to get a nail trimming or insulin injection. I love to play with them and find new ways to give them enrichment. I really believe cats deserve the attention and commitment dogs do.

“Barbara is downright awesome. Leaving a pet for the first time is always tough, but Barbara made it as easy as could be. It doesn't hurt that our pooches both absolutely adore her! Beyond that, she was very communicative from the time we first messaged all the way up through the visit and beyond. We had a somewhat last minute family emergency that meant we had to cancel one visit and shift another, and Barbara was very understanding and flexible. Our pups can really be handful together (or by themselves sometimes, if we're being honest), but Barbara followed our instructions for how to play with them without it getting out of hand and by all accounts everyone had a blast. We got lots of wonderful pictures and updates from Barbara of our pups with their happiest faces on, playing with each other and by themselves. As I write this, the morning after coming home, our pooches are happy and playful but rested and not overly insane, just like I'd expect after day of good fun. I (and really, my dogs Tina & Russell) would absolutely recommend giving your dogs the opportunity to hang out with Barbara next time you need to get away.”

Note: Freya and Medea dislike cats, therefore, we are unable to take any cat guests. I do apologize for this inconvenience. I’m currently working on a hybrid schedule where I work from home most of the times so your furbaby will hardly be left alone. If I have to go into the office, it would be no more than 4 hours (once or twice a week at most). If guest pet ever need to be left alone, you will be notified ahead of time and our furbabies will be separated in a different room. We have a ginormous fenced in backyard that your furbaby can roam around throughout the day with our two 10-yo laid back-couch potatoes chihuahua sisters, Freya and Medea. I’m a helicopter dog mom so rest assured no pups will be left outside with no supervision. Pups are allowed on furnitures, welcomed to sleep with us, and will never be crated (unless instructed otherwise). We are homebodies and have plenty of time to entertain and love on your furbaby! About: I’ve taken care of young puppies, energetic dogs and senior pets as well. We are an outdoorsie family and like to go for long walk and hikes with our dog. High energy pet is a no problem! Our current dog is a senior, so we have a nice accommodating environment for her and other senior pups. I’m staying home currently with a baby. I decided to start providing pet care for extra income and for interacting with other animals, as we are not a able to get more animals at this time. I have a large house with a one acre yard and an and an overhead trolley cable. There are multiple rooms where the dogs can rest and a large crate where the doggies can be if they feel safe there.

He’s also very comfortable working with large dogs, something that can be hard to find. I have a senior dog who can be a bit more challenging for walkers, but Eric is wonderful with him. About: I've grown up taking care of multiple dogs and cats my entire life! I love playing with animals and giving them lots of attention. I enjoy taking dogs on sniff walks and playing mentally enriching games with them! I have often taken care of family and friends' animals throughout the years. I am reliable, punctual, and have a very flexible schedule! I recently moved back into the area and don't have a set schedule, so I have lots of availability! I am available all day every day except for Wednesdays and Saturdays. On Wednesdays I am available in the morning and afternoon until 3 pm. On Saturdays I am available late afternoons and evenings after 3 pm. I will spend a minimum of 30 minutes at your house, providing your animal with whatever care it needs, as well as lots of love and attention! I will take them on long walks, play games with them in the house, or even cuddle with them during their rest time, if that's what they like.

About: I have lived with dogs my entire life and I had helped with the puppy stage for two dogs in the last 5 years. My family got a German Shepherd puppy 5 years ago and then we decided he needed a friend so I helped with a new puppy who’s a Beagle just this past fall. I also have had recent jobs where responsibility was a necessity as I was a para educator with special needs kids over the summer. I’m currently a college student so my weekdays are pretty busy with classes and trying to keep up with school work but I could be free on the weekends depending. At home I help with feeding my dogs, one of my dogs has epilepsy so I’m familiar with giving medications, I also help to walk them and love to play with them to help them get their energy out. I have also helped friends and siblings with watching their pets when needed.

She reduces anxieties naturally by listening carefully and observing astutely. Hygge had never been away or 'boarded' for pet sitting prior to my experience with Andrea. At all times she was communicative, caring and purposeful in her interactions with Hygge, who probably worried about being in a new home away from home for a few days on many levels. My transportation plans were delayed due to a severe storm that prevented my scheduled pick up, and Andrea was patient, reasonable and loving during my own stress about being stuck in NYC beyond my control for the pick up of my dog after traveling for a few days. She worked with me every step of the way, and the boarding experience was a total success even with transportation issues. Hygge returned home happy, healthy, well-nourished and satisfied with renewed confidence in his ability to work with another lovely family in our sweet community in a spirit of trust and sucess.
