I have about 5 years of experience caring for dogs, including dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Pet care is my full-time focus, and I’m both pet CPR certified and a certified groomer. I also send frequent photo and video updates throughout each stay. My priority is always to provide attentive, reliable, and personalized care for every dog staying with me. I live in a clean and well-kept home with a private backyard of approximately 900 square feet, giving dogs plenty of space for supervised outdoor play, potty breaks, and fresh air throughout the day. I also have additional rooms available, which allows me to separate dogs by size, energy level, or comfort needs when necessary. This helps each dog have a safe and quiet place to rest, settle in, and decompress without feeling overwhelmed. I have a 3-year-old Border Collie who is very sweet, gentle, and full of positive energy. He has done very well with other dogs and enjoys spending time and playing with them. I carefully supervise all interactions and introduce dogs gradually, while paying close attention to their body language, personality, and comfort level. I never force dogs to interact if they need more time or personal space. Throughout the day, I provide regular potty breaks, supervised backyard time, playtime, and plenty of opportunities to relax comfortably indoors. I also try to follow each dog’s normal feeding, sleeping, and daily routine as closely as possible. Sleeping arrangements can be flexible based on the owner’s preference and the dog’s needs. For dogs who are more sensitive or feel more secure near people, I can arrange for them to sleep in the same room with me. After outdoor time, I clean the dogs’ paws to help keep them comfortable and maintain a clean living environment. I also pay attention to brushing and overall cleanliness throughout their stay. My goal is to provide a safe, structured, and welcoming home where every dog receives individualized care and owners can feel confident while they are away.

About: Hello! My name is Julissa. I have so much love for all pets and animals. Growing up, i’ve always had a dog in the house, and they were always such an important member of our family. It’s been about five years since I’ve had a dog of my own. My last dog’s name was Sasha. We adopted her when she was six and had her until she was about thirteen. She was so smart, loving, and anxious when we first got her so our first few years together were spent establishing trust. Eventually we managed to off-leash train and we worked a lot on her recall so that we could enjoy longer walks and outdoor activities while ensuring that she always felt safe in her environment. At home we set her bed up in the kitchen, where we would pass our time cooking and spending a lot of quality time together. I had so many good years with my Sasha, and since she passed I have genuinely missed spending time with animals on a consistent basis. Since then, most if not all of my friends and family have entrusted me with taking care of their animals when they are busy or traveling, so I’ve had a lot of experience with many different pets and their varying needs/personalities. I work freelance as an artist. I am a musician, so I often stay at home practicing or composing. However most of my work is in the film industry, and this work ranges from smaller independent projects to network television. About: Most notably, I have worked for Dan's Pet Care as a dog walker in Manhasset for 6 months. I would walk dogs, sometimes feed them, give them water, give them medication, pick up and drop them off to and from the petcare center if asked to. To put it shortly, I have lots of experience with new dogs. I also used to work at The Allypond Environmental Center, along with owning pets throughout my life and still do to this day such as dogs, cats, birds, fish, and guinea pigs. I have reliable transportation and have a very flexible schedule. I’m not afraid to travel for the right pet and would love a buddy or two to run errands with. I have three dog friendly disabled cats at home. I have two tripods and a blind cat. I have extensive experience with disabled dogs as well, including dogs with cardiac issues, anxiety, wheelchair bound and pet medication management. My sister has 10 dogs of her own, two of which are wheelchair bound, incontinent, and another two with CHF that require daily medications. I always keep the dogs I care for on leash and do not allow others to touch them unless permission is granted by the owner prior. My home is clean and spacious with a wrap around balcony. Access to both cat litter boxes and food are not reachable to other animals besides my cat. I’m very attentive to the needs of others, including the needs of all animals alike. If I can take care and save peoples lives daily, you can have faith I will take amazing care of your loved ones!

I've clean litters, feed pets, stayed a little longer to play with them. I dont mind doing a wash and dry. I like to go out so it'll be mini trips in my car i can get a dog seat if they're small pets. i also make homemade meals optional completely healthy.
