I frequently provide overnights in my home and pop in visits for friends & family dogs and have decided to start offering my services to all of you. The same goes for drop in visits I have a big yard but it’s not fenced in. I have a German Shepherd puppy of my own who is currently in training and has already graduated level one classes, so I understand the importance of structure, patience, exercise, and positive reinforcement. We asked Meghan to meet the dogs and cat before her first walk, and we found her to be calm, polite, and very pleasant around the dogs. They warmed up to her immediately. While we were gone, she walked the dogs twice a day, including the one who was socially anxious. Our house looked great when we got home and the animals were in very good spirits. About: I have cared for pets, primarily dogs, for 11 years. I have two dogs, Simon (19) and Maggie (4). Simon is deaf, mostly blind, and has arthritis, and I am experienced in caring for dogs with these conditions. Maggie is an emotional support animal and service dog in training. I enjoy socializing, caring for, and accommodating all pets! I am able to walk and care for animals on an as needed basis. As of now, I am regularly free in the evenings and weekends. About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was young. Whether they were my own, my neighbors, or my friends, I’ve always enjoyed helping out where I can! She stayed in contact with us, made sure our cat took his meds, which is extremely important , and sat with him and pet him every visit so he wouldn't be lonely. About: Common courtesy and communication is paramount. **Willing to travel up to an hour away. Just because Rover says you are outside my service area it does not always mean you are. I have clients an hour North and South of me. **Necessary update as of 6/21/23** I will require current credit card info be on file at your vet or provided for me in your pet write up ONLY in case of emergency. In the event of an emergency and I could not get a hold of the human, puppies have no pockets to hold a card, the vet required me to pay. I have raised 3 separate RESCUE Rottweilers to be exceptional ambassadors of their breed. I currently do not have any pets since my big boy passed away in 2016. I hope to again one day have my own dogs. Until then I will love YOUR pet. **I DO NOT board animals at my home. Only repeat clients would MAYBE be possible for a very short amount of time.** Clients pets have included many breeds, species for days, weeks. Many Golden Retrievers, Doodles, mixes aka Heinz57s, Old English Sheep dog, lots of kitties, a chameleon, turtles, a bearded dragon, a small bird, fish, Rottweilers, a very challenging but lovable English Bulldog and Huskies one of which was very reactive. Oh and a LOT of house plants! PLEASE NOTE: I am deathly allergic to horses which I am very sad about. Any type of animal requiring LARGE amounts of hay would also be a problem i.e, goats, cows, alpacas I am sorry to say. Small rodent animals requiring hay for food or bedding has not been a big deal. My personnel dogs were very public dogs, parks, events etc. With the ever present fact in mind that as good as my animal was it is still an animal. Never purposely putting them in a situation to be loose (unless at home or a fenced park) or get into anything that could harm them. Read quite a few books/manuals by military working dog trainers in hopes of training a service oriented Rottie. Came very close to passing the Good Citizen certification but my dogs never liked the “stay” part when I had to walk away with my back turned. They just had to be next to me. So close. PLEASE NOTE: I have my preferences set to NOT to show any photos of YOUR pet publicly. I would ask permission first to share. Photos only NEVER infomation of course. My schedule allows me to be available to be in YOUR HOME, with your pets all day/night, unless noted ahead of time and of course trips to the store. I have many types of animals that insist on sleeping in bed just like they do when their people are home which in fine by me. Just take some Benadryl and snuggle on in. I try to stick closely to how the home runs normally so the pets do not have any surprises that can make them anxious. Sleep, food, walks, play time etc. I supervise dogs in their own yard fenced or not. I am very organized and like an outlined idea of their schedule to be written down for me to follow as closely as YOU would.

About: I have been an animal lover since I was a young child (when I found out where meat came from at age 4, I became a vegetarian… if that tells you anything!) I was an adoring dog owner until 2023 when my beloved Oak (picture above) went over the rainbow bridge. About: Hello! My name is Joyce. I’ve been taking care of my doggie, Chiquita, for the last 15 years of my life and counting! I’ve walked her, fed her, bathed her, taken her to the vet, took care of her post-op, loved her, and never stopped petting her. Now that she’s a senior and requires senior care, which I've been tending to and been very attentive to, I can service other senior dogs! My entire family knows how fond I am of animals and my fur baby, I am now my older sister's personal dog-sitter! I take care of her large mixed breed, 2 year old Bella! About: I grew up surrounding myself with animals, since I was seven I spent all of my time at our horse farm and I learned to take care of animals big and small. This grew into my life passion which is animals. I studied animal science at UMASS Amherst and UNLV and also have worked at various animal clinics with different roles as a kennel technician and a veterinarian assistant learning so many skills along the way. Yet my favorite thing I have done so far is taking care of animals while their families enjoy a vacation away! After my last class ends at 3:00, I go home briefly before practice. During that half hour, I might let my pet outside, clean up after them, or spend a few minutes giving them attention. After practice, when I get home around 5:00, I have more time to focus on pet care. This is when I usually feed my pet again, take them for a walk if needed, and spend quality time playing or relaxing with them. In the evening, I also make sure everything is set for the night, like refilling water and making sure they are comfortable. Overall, pet care is a consistent responsibility that I fit into both the small breaks in my day and my longer free time at night. Even with a busy schedule, I make sure my pet’s needs are always a priority. I care for pets in my home by creating a safe, active, and comfortable environment where they feel right at home. I have a fenced-in yard, so dogs get plenty of time outside to run and play. I also have a pup of my own who loves being around other dogs, which helps keep visiting pups entertained and social. Throughout the day, they’ll have a mix of playtime with other dogs and one-on-one attention, along with lots of cuddles so they feel cared for and not alone. Inside, I make sure every dog has a space where they feel secure. I have a crate available if needed, but there’s also plenty of room if you’d prefer to bring your own crate.
