Briar was born 100% deaf so I'm naturally a little worried whenever he stays with someone new, as deaf dogs have a completely different set of needs than a hearing dog. Allison had experience with another deaf dog before, which was incredible to hear because so many shy away from deaf pups. It's very apparent she loves your baby as if it were her own while they're with her. Boone and Briar loved their stay, and are snoring away from all the excitement! About: I have had dogs of every shape, size and disposition for 50 years. I have been fostering rescue dogs for 20 years. I don’t think I will ever not have a dog in my life. All dogs are cared for in my home. I have a large, securely fenced in back yard. During the day, dogs are free to be outside to play in the backyard as much as they wish. All dogs sleep in large crates or X-pens in our comfortable dog room at night, or when we are not home. We have a young cavalier who would be happy to have new friends to play with. For safety, I separate dogs for feeding and if we're out of the house, although it's rare that no one is home. Guests need to like other dogs and people.
About: I started walking my next door neighbor’s Boston Terrier when I was around 10. She knew I was an animal lover, and even let me experiment with some training with her pup. This led to me getting into agility training and just general dog training, which I have started to pick back up again. “Kevin was the primary care giver. He was helping me care for my husky with a wound. Kevin was patient and gentle with my dog. I was unsure how to get her foot soaked for 15 minutes twice a day. I am disabled and the vets office wasn't giving me any good advice. He showed me how to get her into the tub and keep her there for 15 minutes without over stressing her. He was very impressive. About: I have owned animals my entire life from cats, lizards to dogs and horses. I worked at a kennel in my high school years taking care of dogs and assisting the owner in grooming. Going on from that I worked in a dog daycare alongside a fear free trainer whilst training my own dog, Lacey who is now 7, doing agility, obedience and other extensive training. About: I have had much experience around animals. From the time I was little, our family has taken care of 3 dog and 5 cats. As I grew up, I have had my own cat that lived with me for 18 years, name was Virginia. She was half siamese. Briar was born 100% deaf so I'm naturally a little worried whenever he stays with someone new, as deaf dogs have a completely different set of needs than a hearing dog. Allison had experience with another deaf dog before, which was incredible to hear because so many shy away from deaf pups. It's very apparent she loves your baby as if it were her own while they're with her. Boone and Briar loved their stay, and are snoring away from all the excitement!
