“Nicole was fantastic. This was the first time I ever left my dog with anyone other than family. She consistently provided updates and pictures. My dog was well cared for.”

“Deanne took great care of our two dogs for over 2 weeks. It was the longest time we have been away from them but we did not need to worry, they had a great stay. Highly recommend.”

“Candice was kind, caring and responsive. She took the bestest care of my dog, Bruce, and was so patient with me and my husband even though we booked her totally last minute. I cannot wait to book her again!”

“Franny took wonderful care of my 14 year old Charlie overnight. She’s a very kind person and Charlie felt completely comfortable with her. He also got along well with her dog. I will definitely be using her again.”

“Peter was such a wonderful sitter. His updates were timely and detailed and I felt confident that Nutmeg was cared for, happy, and healthy during her stay. I will definitely ask Peter to sit again if I’m ever in the area again.”

“Maggie was great with our dogs. Her place is very comfy for them and you can tell that she just gets dogs. Lots of room, very accommodating, very responsive. Got a couple of great photos while we were away. Will definitely have Maggie watch our dogs again!”

“My dog had a great time with Jennifer, Thomas and their kids. They’ shared photos of her getting petted on the couch and going on walks. She was exhausted when she came home after having had a very fun day with this lovely family.”

“I felt very comfortable leaving my pup with Mary and Todd. They have a lovely home and included my dog in all of their activities: walking, running, and much more. They also kept me up to date with pics and anecdotes. I would highly recommend Mary and Todd to anyone!”

“We couldn't be happier with the care our dog Jack received while we were away. From the moment we left, we knew he was in great hands. Nicole went above and beyond to make sure Jack was happy, comfortable, and well cared for, keeping us updated and giving us complete peace of mind during our trip. Jack can be particular about his routine, and she took the time to learn his needs and treat him like one of her own. When we returned home, he was relaxed, healthy, and clearly very well loved while we were gone. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely caring to watch your pets, I highly recommend her. We will absolutely be using her services again in the future!”

“Brooke did a great job watching out 3 year old doodle. She was responsive during booking, and even helped deal with our dog's small medical issue (including keeping a cone on Ruby all weekend). Thank you Brooke!”

“We love knowing Clover has such a loving place to stay with such terrific people, and appreciate the high level of communication and care. Can’t say enough good things.”

“Janice was the absolute best when we left our mini dachshund Bean with her for a few days over the Christmas holiday. Bean is kind of nervous at times and requires a lot of human love and care which Janice and family provided in abundance. Usually Bean gives me the cold shoulder when I leave him overnight but he was not mad at all when I picked him up. The property is beautiful and Janice was extremely responsive including sending pictures! Would absolutely recommend Janice for anyone needing someone to care for their dogs. She treated him like family and we were so grateful. Thank you Janice!”

“Taylor went above and beyond for my senior dog. She is patiently and creatively dealt with Ruby’s separation anxiety. When Ruby had a medical issue, Taylor communicated immediately and provided detailed and accurate information. Taylor dealt with this unusual occurrence calmly and intelligently. I recommend Taylor without hesitation.”

“Our dog, Joule, had a great time at Diana’s! The whole family was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable about how to handle a high energy and attention seeking pup. She got along great with the other dogs and if we are back in the area, this would be our first choice for a rover!”

“Irene has been such a great find in the Berkshires! She always gives helpful communication with each stay, and Ruby seems to love her time with Irene (and her sweet dog Goldie). Thanks for all of the care that you give to Ruby - we'll see you soon!”

“Definitely recommend! My dog had a fantastic time, and it was clear how much Ben enjoyed taking care of him. He was very communicative and sent lots of pic of our dog having fun. Will definitely book again!”

“Lauren always takes great care of my pup Sid and is very communicative and professional every time I need to book. Sid gets to watch horses out the window, play with her pup, and spend some quality time in the country.”

“Christine was the best! Our dogs felt comfortable and excited to hang out with her right away, and it’s clear that she loves all animals and that they love her in return. She sent many adorable photos and updates, which we appreciated, and even led our dogs in an amazing art project. We picked them up a few hours ago and they are both still sleeping off their weekend of fun. Definitely recommend!”
“Jane was our first time leaving our 18 month old pup with non-family. Though it took us 25 minutes to get there, it was definitely worth the drive. Jane offers a safe, caring dog-friendly, people-friendly home. She understood our anxiety and took time with both us and our dog. During the 2 days of boarding, Jane sent us photos and messages for peeks at how our dog was settling in, making friends, getting exercise and chilling out. A good time was had by all!”

“Ellen took wonderful care of our cat Seven while my husband and I were out of town for several days. She sent detailed updates daily with photos, made sure to give Seven lots of playtime with his favorite toys, and kept our home in spotless condition as well. I highly recommend her if you're looking for a responsible, communicative sitter who loves cats!”

“Candice is superb. She dealt with some mice drama while sitting my cats and she handled it better than I would have honestly! Really really happy I found someone so great to take care of my kitties while I’m gone.”

“Magnolia has been cat-sitting regularly for us for the past year and she’s been great. My wife and I really appreciate her flexibility and the peace of mind she gives us. Would recommend !”

About: We have a beloved Cat named Chocolate, my daughters named her Chocolate because they “really love Chocolate”! I also have 2 small senior dogs that get along with cats. I have never met an animal that I don’t like…dog, cat, farm animal or wild animal. They all are special and a pet is absolutely a family member. I whole heartedly understand the love of a pet and promise to treat them as part of my family while they’re in my care.

“Abigail was the perfect cat sitter. I was so nervous leaving my cats for so long but it turns out, I didn't have to worry at all. She came for a meet and greet, learned all their names, and followed every instruction during the entire two week period. I needed twice a day drop ins for one hour each. She stayed for the entire hour, played with the cats, fed them, pet them, cleaned food bowls, replaced water bowls and cleaned their litter. She took pictures of them every time and by the end, my cats were so comfortable with her. I would hundred percent recommend her if you want a sweet, caring sitter who you can rely on.”

“Excellent pet sitter! Alexis cared for our two cats while we were away for a few days. One was recently adopted so they were still getting to know each other. Alexis was communicative and sent detailed updates with photos. The cats were sharing kisses by the time we got back!”

“Nicole was great for a pinch hit to take care of my dogs during a very unexpectedly complicated day. She knew just what to do, throw the ball! And sent pictures and updates. Thank you Nicole!”

About: Hello! I've been an animal lover my entire life. My dog, Zeke and I had a companion kind of relationship, built on mutual respect and happiness; it's something I wouldn't have traded for the world. He sadly passed away in October 2025 after 12 years together, so it would be an understatement to say I'm more than happy to pour extra love to your pup. Times are tough; starting a new 'negotiations and bartering' acceptance. Reach out, the worst I can say is no! Partial payment in veggies, meat, mechanic work...etc. Community care✨ ___________________________________________________________________________ This is a new offering as of August 2024. I have discovered that adventures are my ideal experiences and would like to advertise as such! Mountain hikes, kayak paddles (>15 pounds) are my favorites, but I am open to other ideas/training requests! Paddleboarding, swimming lessons...the possibilities are endless. One hour minimum is preferred; gas and travel time to the adventure site are included. I have many mountains, lakes and trails on my list, so I do not see it as fair to charge you for that time! You will only be charged for adventure time. Depending on your pup(s) comfortability in the car, we may travel up to 45 minutes. You and I will decide together on location details, and this app will track where your pup(s) and I are at all times. Wilderness First Aid trained, canine safety versed, ample water provided, and pups will always be kept safely on the leash. Your pup will return home satisfied and tired! ____________________________________________________________________________ For a NORMAL NEIGHBORHOOD WALK, please book a drop-in visit and message to remind me that you would like a walk. Availability for walks and drop-ins will change after Labor Day. Unavailable most weekdays 8-3:30, I am a caretaker by nature, and have been a teacher for the past 4years, a live in nanny before that and most recently a grade school teacher. I'm going back to school to get my licensure. Honestly, care taking and fresh air gives me clarity of mind, and the chance to peel away from the screen helps process all the new information! I am trying to practice running again too, if your canine would like to train with me. Familiar with many local trails and parks. All weather is good weather! Experience with dogs with seizures and giving various medications. Feline friend as well. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry friends ! I work at a school, but often have days and weeks off. Feel free to request and negotiate for what you need. Finding a good fit is paramount. I offer boarding very rarely. When I am in your home, I try to leave it better than I found it. I have spent a fair amount of time farming and gardening, so plants will be well cared for if asked.

About: My family has 3 cats we have taken care of over the years. I have experience with both indoor and outdoor cats. I also have worked with cats who need medicine given, special food and/or other more in-depth care.

“Dakota is a great find. She showed kindness, love, and care to our cat. We knew that Miso was safe in her care. Her communication was excellent. We definitely recommend wholeheartedly.”

About: Kitties what can I say about kitties… who doesn’t love so snuggle up to a purring kitty! I’ve had 2 cats and now we’re down to 1. My personal cats were mane coon mixes so they were very large! The one had kidney stones so he needed medicine daily and the other needed a shot of insulin 1-2 daily. I look forward to coming to family’s to see them and even take 1 for walks so he can bird hunt! He always loved going to the farm to just relax in the sun and watch the birds fly by. Tho sometimes he’s try to junp off the fence to catch them, he always made the farm day that much more excitante!

“Dim Sum had such a great stay with Benjamin and his partner on their beautiful farm! They were super helpful with being available last minute and gave Dim Sum a cozy spot to stay. Bonus points for being able to say hi to their beautiful horses too :). Highly recommend!”

About: I'll provide constant supervision of your pet. I enjoy interacting with animals. Although I am not a professional dog handler I have had a dog in the house for the past 12 years. I will do my best to provide competent care for your pet. I am currently retired from the Columbia County jail, after completing 23 years. I am a Navy veteran. My wife and I have twin boys who are all grown up and out of the house. As a result of this I have become a little bored. I would appreciate your consideration when deciding on who to entrust the care of your pet while you are away. You will be able to be rest assured that they are being taken care of. I am usually available all the time except for the occasional vacation I might go on. Weekends are no problem either. I am pretty much available year round. I like to hang out with my dog all day. Adding more animals to the mix is no problem. I like taking walks with them and I also have a fenced yard.

Both Beau and Coco loved her and we could not be more thankful for finding someone so perfect for them while we are in town. Thanks again!!”

“Irene was great with Sadie. Sadie loved playing with Goldie and loved the friendly and warm reception she got. Sadie was given both play and rest time and really looked really comfortable with Irene when I picked her up.”

I have a soft spot for older dogs, as well as experience caring for young litters of pups! I love all of my clients dogs like they’re my own, and take special care to encourage their interests, and adapt our time together to fit their personality and needs! I have 6 repeat clients that I’ve met through rover, and treasure the time that I spend with their pets. The reoccurring clients I’ve had for 8 months have become a staple in my life, and a regular in my routine. It’s so special to be the part of the week that a dog looks forward to!! Booking a few weeks in advance is a good way to ensure I’m able to work around YOUR schedule! I take pride in caring for your pets like they are my own! As a dog owner myself, I understand the importance of not only respecting your dog’s boundaries, but also the rules you have for your dog! If you or your pet need to be accommodated in any way I’ll do my best to make it happen!

About: I’ve lived and worked with both dogs (all sizes) and cats since a young age. Friends and relatives have trusted me to care for their animals on a wide scale from dog walking to in-home stays. Additionally, I have spent time volunteering in animal shelters including fostering dogs from a few days to multiple month long stays working with them to find their forever homes! I am currently working part-time so I have ample time during the day to check-in on pets, take dogs on long walks, and any other care you’re looking for! I have experience with general dog training and crating if needed. I’ve worked with dogs that have a range of needs and am open to following whatever routine you normally follow with your pet!
About: I've always carried a deep passion to care for animals since I can remember. I love dogs that are not mine as if they were my own! I am currently transitioning from being a stay at home mom. I’m very trustworthy and make sure your pet is safe at all times! Whether off leash walks are allowed or on leash at all times. I will make sure your pet is always treated as if it were my own.
About: I have been around animals all my life. Born in the country, cows and horses are most common, but I’ve come to love having dogs, cats, and reptiles of my own! There has never been an animal I couldn’t warm up to, and I love getting to know every pets unique personality. I DO OWN PETS, I just am not offering boarding services or requesting sitting services so I would prefer not to share their details! I am always willing to move around my schedule to better fit my clients needs! I have a ride I depend on for now while I’m learning to drive, so I cannot be out too late unless I’m staying the night. I prefer to pet sit or walk pets at other homes, not my own, as I have a reactive dog with history of abuse, and she is not amicable with other pets.
“Tessa was such a huge help today when, last minute, we needed someone to walk our Sella. Sella clearly took to Tessa immediately. We’ll definitely reach out to Tessa again- thanks Tessa!!”

“Ashley is a delight. She was very communicative and caring about our elderly dog with special needs. We only needed her to come and take him for a walk, but he is blind and deaf and also wears a diaper. She let us know when she got to our house and sent pictures afterwards. We felt very comfortable with her and will definitely be using her again.”

“Dakota was great. She offered to do a meet and greet with Cosmo prior to our scheduled walks. She was very communicative during the booking process and provided updates on his walks. We will certainly work with her again.”

About: Hi! My name is Andrea. I have lived in the Hudson Valley for almost 4 years now, and have been working in the area off and on since 2014. I live with my partner, Mike, and precious pup Kona. I have always lived with dogs. And recently, have been thinking about getting a cat! I am an Occupational Therapist in a school district full time and love to farm and bicycle during my off time. I’ve done house sitting and dog sitting previously and enjoyed the work. I have my own vehicle and am used to commuting around the Hudson Valley for work and for fun. I wanted to get back into dog sitting and pet sitting to assist in getting a new car and to get to spend time with pets! I have always been obsessed with dogs! I show that through meeting as many as I can when out in the community :). I am active person, so long walks and playing is something I can provide. I am open to any requests you might have and am great at keeping in touch with pet parents. I can always be available through text, call, or email. I’m so excited to meet you and your lovely pets!! I have a full time job, so weekends are my only availability. However, I am open to discuss any special circumstances! About: I offer drop-in visits, dog walking, and overnight house sitting for cats or dogs, and I’m happy to provide daily exercise, playtime, feeding, and medication support as needed. Whether your pet loves long walks, quiet companionship, or consistent routines, I tailor my care to fit their needs and personality. I grew up with mid-size dogs and frequently watched smaller dogs for family friends in Pittsburgh. After moving upstate, I became a devoted cat dad to my black cat, Lola, for three years. Since then, I’ve cared for cats of all ages, including seniors with specific feeding and medication schedules. I'm attentive and responsive to every animal’s unique rhythm. I currently work remotely as a freelancer, which gives me the flexibility to drop in or house-sit for quality time with your pets during the day. I do not offer pet care from my own home.
About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was five years old and continued to get more dogs. I have dog sat for multiple friends and family rating from dogs and cats. As far as training animals, I did grow up with having to train them so I do have some experience. I am currently working part time and go to community college but will be able to manage and work out a schedule that will be accommodating. I have 3 dogs that have invisible fences outside so they can roam free without getting lost, going to the road, running off. I have a big yard surrounding my house so they are used to running around freely. When it gets too cold they come in to the house or garage with my father. I am used to walking dogs as they do get walked on occasion at home or if we have them out of the house. I do not off offer services that welcome pets into my house but I am accommodating as necessary and will offer services at your residency.
About: Please note: Pricing can be flexible depending on the situation, length of stay, and number of pets. I’m always happy to talk through the details! I’ve been pet sitting for over 15 years and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’m one of those people who naturally gravitates toward dogs wherever I go. I also have six dogs of my own (including large breeds), so managing different personalities, routines, and energy levels is something I’m very comfortable with. These days I focus on in-home pet sitting, because most pets are happiest staying in their own space and keeping their normal routine. I know how hard it can be to leave your animals when you travel, so my goal is always to make it feel like they’re just hanging out with a friend who loves dogs as much as you do. I have experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages — from energetic young pups to seniors who need a little extra patience and care. I’m also comfortable administering medications and following detailed instructions to make sure everything stays consistent while you’re away. I’m very attentive and tend to get pretty attached to the animals I care for. I’ll send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pets are happy, safe, and getting lots of attention while you’re gone. If you’re looking for someone experienced, reliable, and genuinely excited to spend time with your pets, I’d love to connect. Pet care is part of our everyday life! My wife and I both work remotely about 90% of the week, which gives us plenty of time and flexibility to care for our own six dogs — and any visiting pets, too. Our days naturally revolve around feeding, walks, playtime, and snuggles, so incorporating other pets into that rhythm fits right in. In our home, pets are treated like family. We have a spacious, safe property with fenced areas for play and exercise, and we keep routines consistent with what each pet is used to, including feeding schedules, walks, and downtime. Since my wife and I both work from home most of the week, someone is almost always here to give attention and care. For client homes, I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible - from meals and walks to playtime and cuddles - to keep them comfortable and stress-free in their own environment.

“Amanda was great with our dogs. She listened carefully to each of their needs and made sure to accommodate particular requests. Amanda was prompt in getting back to us anytime we reached out and sent us occasional photos of the dogs playing or resting. She has a lovely home and large fenced-in backyard where the dogs could run free and get plenty of exercise. We felt at ease knowing our precious pups were kept safe and warm while we were away!”

“Kaitlyn was great with Hadley! She sent photo updates and booked very last minute which we are incredibly appreciative of. Her kids also adored Hadley so she felt right at home. Highly recommend!”

About: I have years of experience with many different types of dogs. I watch dogs on a regular basis. For younger dogs I can offer a mountain hikes and for older dogs I can walk them on boardwalk trails that are easy on the joints, yet give the dog the sense of walking in the woods. I don't mind larger dogs at all. I also am willing to cook food for dogs. I very much enjoy the company of dogs and find that when they are well fed and exercised they are really pleasant to be around. Please give me honest description of your dog so I can plan His/Her visit accordingly. My house is set back (1000 feet) from a country road . I can pick up dogs in NYC , Great Barrington , Hudson, or Albany for a fee. I have watched many dogs over the years. Usually I try to walk them as much as possible. I feed them well , but make them follow the sit command before being fed and multiple times a day. All dogs have to be on a slip proof leash when outside or dropped off. Dogs often don't behave as they do at home . Once off a leash it can be very difficult to recapture a dog. In the house I don't crate dogs . We can only watch a few dogs at once. If your dog is very difficult let me know in advanced. Also Corgies get 10% off.
“Nicole is amazing! She's accommodating, responds quickly, loves my dog and genuinely takes care of him showing love and TLC! She has a stunning outdoor set-up for furry friends and could not be lovelier. I will continue to request her services before looking for anyone else! I highly recommend her!”
