“Andrea is a beautiful, intelligent and compassionate professional. She cares about the animals she looks after while 'pet parents' are away. She reduces anxieties naturally by listening carefully and observing astutely. Hygge had never been away or 'boarded' for pet sitting prior to my experience with Andrea. At all times she was communicative, caring and purposeful in her interactions with Hygge, who probably worried about being in a new home away from home for a few days on many levels. My transportation plans were delayed due to a severe storm that prevented my scheduled pick up, and Andrea was patient, reasonable and loving during my own stress about being stuck in NYC beyond my control for the pick up of my dog after traveling for a few days. She worked with me every step of the way, and the boarding experience was a total success even with transportation issues. Hygge returned home happy, healthy, well-nourished and satisfied with renewed confidence in his ability to work with another lovely family in our sweet community in a spirit of trust and sucess. About: When I was a little girl, I read the warrior cat series and fell in love with cats. I decided I had to have one. It took me over two years to convince my parents, but once I got my first (a five year that had been abandoned at the shelter on Christmas) I was hooked. I love every cat, not just my own. Eventually even the most aloof, unfriendly, feral old curmudgeon of a kitty has my respect. I will never force a cat that doesn't want to be bothered to give me attention. That said, I'm very good at doing towel burritos around them if they do need to get a nail trimming or insulin injection. I love to play with them and find new ways to give them enrichment. I really believe cats deserve the attention and commitment dogs do.

About: Hello, I’ve been taking care of pets since I was 11 years old. From dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, you name it! I’ve trained many puppies and love everyone’s furry friends. Fun Fact my dog at home is scared of thunder, so I always sit in the bathtub with him until he’s ready to come out (photo included) I’ve also babysat and house sat for many years :) I have maximum 2 one hour classes a day with a 3 hour gap in between! So there will be plenty of time for me to take care of your furry friends!!! I live in a single room on campus with loads of space and two beds if the pets want to have a comfy space. When I have to leave for a class I play zen pet music to help calm them down if I have to leave!

About: I have lived with dogs my entire life and I had helped with the puppy stage for two dogs in the last 5 years. My family got a German Shepherd puppy 5 years ago and then we decided he needed a friend so I helped with a new puppy who’s a Beagle just this past fall. I also have had recent jobs where responsibility was a necessity as I was a para educator with special needs kids over the summer. I’m currently a college student so my weekdays are pretty busy with classes and trying to keep up with school work but I could be free on the weekends depending. At home I help with feeding my dogs, one of my dogs has epilepsy so I’m familiar with giving medications, I also help to walk them and love to play with them to help them get their energy out. I have also helped friends and siblings with watching their pets when needed.

She reduces anxieties naturally by listening carefully and observing astutely. Hygge had never been away or 'boarded' for pet sitting prior to my experience with Andrea. At all times she was communicative, caring and purposeful in her interactions with Hygge, who probably worried about being in a new home away from home for a few days on many levels. My transportation plans were delayed due to a severe storm that prevented my scheduled pick up, and Andrea was patient, reasonable and loving during my own stress about being stuck in NYC beyond my control for the pick up of my dog after traveling for a few days. She worked with me every step of the way, and the boarding experience was a total success even with transportation issues. Hygge returned home happy, healthy, well-nourished and satisfied with renewed confidence in his ability to work with another lovely family in our sweet community in a spirit of trust and sucess. “Chaqutia looked after my pup, Ralph, for just over a week. I was nervous about leaving him for such a long period of time especially as he was unwell. Chaqutia put my mind at ease instantly and sent updates multiple times throughout the day of both photos and videos as well as a report of how he did with his food and confirming he took his meds. Any questions I had or suggestions I made, she responded to promptly. She’s a very kind and caring person and also very responsible with things like a camera set up in the room dogs sleep in to check on throughout the night. She was flexible with both pick up and drop off times and really listened to our needs Her home is beautiful, large and on a very quiet secluded road which was reassuring as less traffic. Her family are truly lovely and her eldest child played with Ralph lots (particularly loved those videos) Would definitely use Chaqutia again and recommend her to others!”

“Kate has a very warm demeanor and my first impression when I brought our dog Astrid over to her house for a meet and greet before boarding, was that she would care for our dog as if she were her own. Astrid is usually quite anxious when she’s first introduced to a new person and a new environment, but she appeared to be more at ease much quicker with Kate at her house than she typically is. Kate sent us regular pictures and updates, was very flexible about our schedule for pickup and drop-off, prompt and easy to communicate with, and we didn’t worry about Astrid at all. We will certainly reach out to Kate again when planning future boarding accommodations for our sweet Astrid.”
