“I was driving from Chicago to Upstate New York for a hiking trip (Mammoth March) and was understandably nervous about leaving my dog behind. After reading Chelsea’s reviews, I felt much more at ease and decided to reach out to her—and I’m so glad I did. Chelsea was excellent from start to finish. She understood my concerns and made me feel comfortable leaving my dog in her care. My dog had a great time playing and hanging out with his new furry friends, and Chelsea kept me updated with photos throughout his stay, which really helped put my mind at ease. I highly recommend Chelsea and would absolutely trust her with my dog again!”

“Arlo, our weim has stayed with Joan and Tim multiple times now and they are absolutely amazing. Arlo is always so well cared for, happy, and relaxed when we get home. They’re reliable, communicative, and truly love what they do. We trust them completely and feel so lucky to have found them! Highly recommend!”

“Erika and Nick were wonderful while watching my pup! They were very communicative right from the beginning, even took time to meet up with me before drop off to a sure that our dogs got along. They were very communicative the entire time they were watching my pup and sent lots of great pictures so I can always know how things were going. Will definitely be using them again!”

“Katie was great with my pup, Mugsy. She kept me updated on how he was doing; she sent pictures, videos and text messages. She always touched base to inquire about extending/pickup as my move-in date was moved a few times. I really appreciated her adapting and accommodating my changing schedule. Thank you Katie for loving my pup when I couldnt be with him.”

“Dana and Jeremy were wonderful! It was our first time leaving our dog and Dana and Jeremy made the process easy and treated our pup as their own. They were eager to learn his routine, kept it consistent, and sent regular updates. Their attentiveness provided the peace of mind needed to really enjoy our vacation. We are excited for the next time our dog gets to visit them!”

“We were so fortunate to have found Kelly!! She took excellent care of Molly and her updates and communication were very much appreciated. Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy our vacation knowing that Molly was in good hands. We will surely be a repeat customer.”

“Megan kept me updated on how my dogs were doing and worked very well with my schedule! Was willing to be up early in the morning and dropped the dogs off at my place late with no problem. The dogs came back happy and exhausted showing they had a fun time. I'd definitely book with her again.”

“Jenn and Brian were outstanding hosts for Cooper. Not only were they flexible with our times and willing to work with us, but they clearly understand dogs, owning their own dogs and having fostered dogs in the past. Jenn kept me posted on his activities and energy level, and clearly she wore him out as he's been sleeping since the moment we put him in the car 4.5 hours ago. Playing in their backyard and with their pups certainly wore our energetic 2 year old out. We highly recommend Jenn and Brian for their care with your dog.”

“Jin was great. Zeke can be nervous when in a new situation and Jin handled him flawlessly. The updates each day were amazing and I am so thankful that Zeke had such a kind and considerate sitter. Thank you so much!!!”

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.
“Lindsey did a fantastic job watching our goldendoodle. He loved the long daily walks and play time with her cute dog, and I enjoyed the daily updates and pictures. Vacations are much more relaxing when you know your dog is also having a great time. Looking forward to another booking, thanks Lindsey!”

“Denae and Mark were wonderful hosts for our dog, Cooper. Denae was a great communicator and provided us photos and messages to let us know how Cooper was doing during his brief weekend stay. We will be using them again!”

“Jackie made it possible to leave on a 2 week vacation. All 3 of our dogs were well taken care of. Jackie did everything we asked. We will definitely ask Jackie to take care of our family again. Thank you”

“Mickey took amazing care of Max while we went on a cruise! She’s very detail oriented, gave my dog lots of attention, and treated her like her own. I’d recommend Mickey 1000%!”

“Monica is the best. The dogs love her and we will trust her with our puppers for any time we need a pet sitter. She was extremely communicative- texts, videos, pictures- and we couldn't have asked for better.”

“Jordy had a wonderful time at Mindy’s- he even became friends with her cat! He was happy to be home but I’m betting he would gladly go back. I’d happily ask Mindy to care for him again.”

“Jenn took care of my 9 yr. old chihuahua Saturday-Sunday. We did a meet and greet at Jenn’s house the Wednesday before. I liked her right away and I could tell she loves animals. This is the first time leaving my pup overnight at someone else’s house. Jenn did an awesome job of taking care of Mia! She also sent me updates of photos and texts. I will definitely be using her again. I highly recommend her!”

“Leah was very attentive and shared frequent updates about how my dog was adjusting. I’d definitely recommend Leah and am looking forward to boarding my dog with her again.”

“Kona had a great stay at Shannon and David’s! They were welcoming and warm which made Kona very comfortable. Pictures were so cute. He loved the long walks too! We were able to have a great weekend in Ellicottville with no worries. I highly recommend them and would absolutely have Kona stay on our next visit!”

“Alyssa did a great job checking in on my dog while I was away for a conference! My dog is usually very shy around strangers and tends to hide, but she was patient and gentle with him. She even got him to go out and potty. She sent photos and updates every visit, which gave me great peace of mind. I really appreciated her care and communication, and I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Ann is an amazing, dependable, caring reliable, sweet person/sitter. With only 24 hours notice not only did she agree to take care of our furbabe, but also come twice a day to give her meds. I always know our babes will be well cared for and loved when Ann takes care of them. Thanks so much Ann!”

“This was my first time using a cat sitter for our cat, so I didn't know how our cat would respond. We were so lucky with Mickey, who went above and beyond to play with her and spend time with her, and send videos so we could see how engaged and happy she was. We are so grateful to have found such a great caretaker and hope to use her services in the future!”

“This was Michelle’s first drop-in visit with my pups, and she did a great job! She sent pictures and updates throughout, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. I’ll definitely be using Michelle again for our November vacation, as I feel completely comfortable leaving my pups in her care. I’ve also met her dogs, and you can tell they are truly loved and well cared for. That speaks volumes about the level of care and attention you can expect from Michelle. I highly recommend her!”

“Our cat, Chumley, took to Madison right away. She has a wonderful kind and loving energy. We felt very comfortable having Madison come into our home while we were away. Madison sent us the cutest picture of Chumley while visiting with him. We are very pleased with her service and highly recommend her! Thank you Madison!!!”

“Jess is professional and reliable. Five stars, no question about it. We trust her in our home and with our dogs, cats, ducks and chickens. She is a top choice when we travel.”

About: Hi! I am a former Veterinary technician turned crazy cat lady. I have two kittens of my own and have had many years of experience with senior citizen cats. I am properly trained in cat care and husbandry as well as able to administer medication if needed.

“Alyssa swooped in and saved the day a few times when we were out of town for a week. Our little Princess loved her from the start and we felt good knowing she was in such good hands.”
About: I was raised on a small family farm, and have cared for goats, chickens, ducks, pigs, and more while a part of that. As a child and teenager, I trained dogs through my local 4-H program, and later on started petsitting for family friends. I've cared for puppies, senior dogs, cats, chickens, cows, pigs, goats, turtles, geese, canaries, ducks, and so many others, and I'm always willing to learn something new! I work full-time, night shifts during the week and mornings on weekends, but I'm typically only gone 8 hours max, so there's still plenty of time for me to provide plenty of care and attention to the pets! I typically stay overnight, and will either crate the pets if needed, or let them sleep with me, I wake up with them and spend my day hanging out with them, playing or just relaxing. I do my best to care for each pet as their owner would, to help minimize stress.

About: I’ve always had cats around and have taken care of strays and making sure they always got the love and food they needed! I’ve recently started to help take care of family and friends cats and have researched and learned a lot of things. I love to give my kitty friends space when they need it and all the love and snuggles. I love deep cleaning litter boxes to make sure that they have a clean place to go potty. I also enjoy brushing cats and am very good at getting their nails clipped, even if they’re grumpy!

About: As stated in my main profile, I have been caring for animals for all my life. We adopted our first cat, Gracie when I was 14 years old (I'm 25 now!) and I have been a cat person ever since! I've been the primary caretaker for our 3, previously 4, cats since adopting our first cat. That gives me 10+ years of learning cat care, hygiene, boundaries, and behaviors. I have an intuition with cats that never fails to surprise me. I can pick up on those little things that some people miss, and I would be ecstatic to utilize those skills to keep your babies happy, safe, and taken care of. I will take care of your babies like they are my own, because I know you love them like I love mine. Every cat (& pet) owner deserves to feel secure and confident with their pet sitter, and I'd be honored to be that person for you! I don't mind messes, litter cleaning, smells, anxious behavior, quirky routines, or anything else you need me to handle when handling the care of your cats. I will love your cats like they are my own, and I will never hesitate to go the extra mile for them, and for you.
“It was such a peace of mind knowing my pups were cared for over the weekend while Jenna checked in on them. She sent me pictures and messaged me with any updates. I will definitely book with her in the future!”
About: I’ve loved dogs since I was wee child. 8 years ago my now husband and I got our first puppy (a pitbull/rat terrier mix) named Dudley and have since grown our four legged family by four! A 3.5 year old Daniff (Great Dane/English mastiff mix) named Aspen and three domestic shorthair kitties, varying in color (an orange included), named Chug, Nova and Wee. Despite the 2 dogs, 3 cats and family I still have time to spare throughout the days; especially during the school year. I’ve been walking dogs for friends and associates for about a year and I’ve really enjoyed the freedom and relations I’ve found along the way. I have experience with dogs of all ages/sizes. From 40lb corgis to 150lb mastiffs, your pup is safe with me and will likely find a new best friend. I would love the opportunity to walk your dog or drop in for a visit/play date! **I do have a 6 year old that comes with me during the summer so I am limited to child friendly dogs during that time. My schedule is almost always open and flexible aside from not being available on weekends. I am currently unavailable on Tues, Thurs and Fri (from 11AM-12PM) for a preexisting client. Because I have 5 pets of my own, I am unable to offer services from my home. With that being said, respect is first and foremost. Your house, your pets, your rules. I always like establishing the blueprint for what my visits will look like. I, of course, am trying to cater to your pet and understand they all have different needs; some are anxious, food/treat motivated, some need lots of exercise. I assure you, no pet is too big or small for me.
“Rachel took such great care of my Loki and my apartment while I was gone. She was so wonderful with him and being able to inject him with the insulin daily. So thankful for her help!”

“Colleen was great! We contacted her with very short notice to provide a 30 minute visit to our two dogs. She was prompt in her replies and extremely accommodating. We would not hesitate to have her take care of our dogs again.”

“Katherine is the best cat sitter out there! She's extremely patient and amazing with my scaredy cat! She has watched my cat several times already and I request her every time I travel! :)”

“The Best ! We left Fergie with Crystal 2 different days so we could go sight seeing and couldn't be happier with her level of care. The first day Fergie whined a little when we left; the 2nd day she didn't even notice that we left. She loved being with Crystal & we received lots of pictures of their walks & activites. Don't hesitate to allow Crystal to watch your pup. We'll contact her again the next time we're in the Buffalo area. Thanks Crystal !”

Now that I’m retired, I have the time and flexibility to give your dog the attention, companionship, and care they deserve. My home is a calm, welcoming place where your dog can feel safe, relaxed, and part of the family. I understand that every dog is different, with their own personality, routines, and little quirks. I’m happy to follow your instructions and keep your dog’s normal routine as much as possible. Whether your dog loves a good walk, a cozy nap, a little playtime, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll be there to give them plenty of affection and companionship. Most of all, I want you to feel comfortable knowing your furry family is being cared for with patience, kindness, and genuine love. I know how much our dogs meant to us—they truly are family. I would be honored to welcome your dog into my home and treat them as one of my own while you’re away. I enjoy having pets as part of my daily life and take pride in making sure they feel happy, safe, and comfortable. I offer care in your home or at my quiet, dog-free home. For dogs, the day can include daily walks, playtime, fetch, cuddles, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I’m happy to care for puppies through senior dogs and will follow your pet’s normal routine, including meals, medications, and rest time. “We were just passing through on a road trip and landed tickets to see the Bills play so this was a last minute book. Sierra was wonderful with our Bella who has separation anxiety. She took it slow with Bella and soon Sierra had her eating (she has NEVER eaten a meal when we are not there with her), going for walks, and napping. I can tell Sierra was great with Bella because she was happy when we picked her up and went right to sleep when we got home.”

About: Hi there! I'm Caitlin, and for the past 13 years, I have gained extensive education, training, and experience with all types of animals. I have been with Rover since 2014 and have had over 190 clients through the years. As a proud professional, the experience under my belt includes: - Solo management of a small, rural cat shelter - Behavioral and adoption staff at a large urban animal shelter - Dog and cat training - Fear free certification - Management staff for boarding and daycare - Professional bathing/grooming - Exotic animal handling - Bachelor's degree in Animal Behavior Besides my professional experience, I have been a pet owner my whole life - dogs, cats, and exotics included! Right now - I have four beloved cats who I have clicker trained myself! ** Currently, my preferred clients are cats, small dogs, seniors, and more relaxed pets. I am not suited to care for strong, energetic dogs who need extensive exercise. ** In-home boarding and dog daycare are services I vet very extensively and am particular about due to my cats. While I do offer the services, it is always better to choose a house sit/drop in visit with me instead - these I can be much more flexible about. Some other services I provide beyond the basics include: - Wedding pet care and assistance - Pet transportation - Travel pet care and assistance - and more! I am a *CONSTANT CARE SITTER!* That means, I am in your home for the vast majority of the day, due to my day job being completely remote and flexible. While some others may need to step out for a full work day, I commit my time to YOUR pet(s) and YOUR pet(s) only - which sets me apart from other sitters. You may see that my husband, Josh, is also on my profile. He will occasionally help me with some services, but I am the primary sitter. I will always let clients know if he is going to be present for any services. Safety for pets and myself is and always has been my top priority. I am proudly fear free certified and have worked on extensive safety training measures in all of my professional working environments. I know how to use all types of equipment (leashes, collars, harnesses, e-collars, etc) with ease.
“Kiara and Yves did an amazing job watching Teddy. Once I dropped him off, he felt right at home. Kiara kept on contact with me throughout the booking to update me on Teddys status and sent several pics. Will definitely book with Kiara and Yves again if we’re in the area.”

About: I have raised two dogs (one large bread and one small bread) both from puppy to 16 & 17yrs old. I have had three cats (one still residing with me). Currently I dog sit two fur babies since 2020. In a week I am losing one of my buddies due to his parents relocating. I am already missing him and am hoping to make some new walking and cuddling partners. I work part time on weekends but can sit with advanced notice. Monday til Wednesday I am available for anytime on shorter notice. When I have your furry sweetheart I do not leave them by themselves at all,so I like to schedule when there is nothing to conflict with the time I have them. When in my house they have no restrictions from me, only what the parent wants. I have an outside bathroom area on leash for quick bathroom trips. I like to go for at least one or two long walks per day, weather permitting and your dogs abilities. I live in a walkable neighborhood and close to parks. When at your house I will follow whatever routine your partner is used to.

“An incredibly kind and compassionate human, who has a way with my beloved Westie, Charlie. It made our day to have met her and we can't wait to see her again for a walk or drop in visits this Fall.”

“Alyssa is the BEST! I had a lot of anxiety around my dog meeting someone new because he has a lot of energy and can be mouthy, but Alyssa is clearly a pro who is able to handle him well and he loves her. I am so grateful for her services.”

About: I am a Hamburg resident and love all types of animals. I am the one sitting with the dog at the parties. I work a full time job but hoping to get back into the animal care buisness. I work Monday-Friday until 3pm so would be available after that and most weekends I am available! I would love to come meet your animal. I have a dog named Winston and two cats named Fez and Rue! I have a full time job as a school counselor but would like to supplement time caring for animals. I am available after work at 3pm for walks, visits, feedings. I am a Hamburg local and spend my weekend hanging with my parents and dog and cats. In care home would be meeting the dog or cat (i also have taken care of horses). Following all directions of the owner and make the pet sitting low stress and make everyone feel comfortable and cater for.

About: I have had dogs and cats, and taken care of other small animals for my family for years. I understand the bond of families with their animals and respect that! I am retired from full time work, but do participate in volunteer activity. A part time role of caring for your pet as needed will best fit my schedule. Or providing in home care for your pet while you travel will work as well. I am happy to come and take care of your pets in your home, where they are comfortable in their own environment. I respect the pet owners preferences on how best to care for their beloved pet.

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always brought me a great deal of joy. As a retired caregiver, I’m home all day and can give your pet plenty of attention and companionship. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, allowing me to provide consistent care, regular walks and playtime, and plenty of love and attention throughout the day. There are no children or other pets in my home, making it a calm and peaceful environment. My goal is for your pet to feel like part of the family while you’re away!

“Charlette was great with my dog while I went away for two nights. I was hesitant to leave him with someone because he’s never stayed anywhere other than my house. Charlette assured me that everything would be okay and told my wife and I about other visits she’s had so I knew what to expect. I was given daily pictures and updates about how he was doing and I really comfortable with the amount of care he received. If I need to do a rover visit again I will definitely rebook with Charlette.”

“Alena was VERY accommodating. We ran into a hiccup during boarding and she was so helpful in working out a solution. I loved the pictures and videos of Kirra!”

“We had such a great experience with Crystal! She took amazing care of our dog and kept us updated throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. Our dog was happy, comfortable, and clearly well cared for when we picked her up. We could tell she received lots of love and attention. We would definitely recommend Crystal and will absolutely book with her again! 🐾❤️”
