“This was our first boarding experience with Hiedi, and it could not have gone better. I was concerned my dog might be anxious being left overnight, but much the opposite. He was over the top excited to play with the other boarder and day care dogs. Hiedi keeps her experienced professional eyes on them, so you never need to worry one bit. He came home wonderfully tired out, but more importantly happy. He ate well, slept well, and was clearly very comfortable there. He wants to know when we are going back!! I will be using Hiedi again. I have lots of experience with senior cats with health conditions; managing pet prescriptions and special diets. I'm comfortable administering medications if needed. About: I have had pets most of my life. I quit my job and started a non-profit, St. Lewis Foundation, which didnt work out, so all the animals in my care became my pets. They were mostly senior and unwanted animals, which is where my heart is. I am unemployed right now, looking for remote work . So I am home all day. I have the time to let your pup out as many times as he/she wants. If they are a little dog I will be right by their side. I am up 6a - 9p. I have 3 senior cats that sleep up high most of the day, so your pup needs to be okay with cats. All pups sleep with me in my king size bed (if they want to). I have a dog bed next to me in my office or a couch in front of a large front window. I have locked screen security doors in case your pup likes to sniff the air. Central AC (I like it cool) and heating. I have many balls and treats (if allowed) and would love to throw the ball a bit. Back yard is not huge but sufficient. All my dogs have passed and I am missing a dog so much but cant commit right now. So let me love on your pup!

I have fresh water out all day and I feed them twice a day. My dogs get a specialized high end kibble which I supplement with fresh meat, organ, eggs, fruits, veggies, goats milk, coconut oil, bone broth, salmon oil, turmeric and a daily vitamin. I wash my dogs as needed or every two weeks. I brush their teeth, fur, and clip their nails weekly as well. I only have high quality chew bones and other toys available that don’t pose a risk as my dogs are heavy chewers.

I’ve worked with cats, dogs, almost all domestic farm species, amphibians, reptiles, and fish. I’ve just graduated UVM with an Animal Science degree, where I’ve taken helpful classes such as Intro To Exotic Pet Care class and Canine Behavior where I trained local shelter dogs. Through my studies, I’ve learned about nutrition, anatomy, welfare, husbandry, and diseases/ailments for many species. I’ve worked with a lot of senior animals who have a variety of backgrounds at a farm sanctuary, so I’m comfortable working with pets with special needs. I’ve also been working as an ICH Tech at an equine clinic so I am comfortable with medications such as injections as well. I love talking about my experience and am happy to answer any questions people may have! I love going for walks and hiking! The outdoors are so beautiful and even more lovely when you get to share them with a pet. Early morning walks are my personal favorite. Pet visits also work well in my schedule. I don't mind stopping by to let a pet out, feed, clean, and provide enrichment. I love reading and am happy to hang out with pets outside while I do so. Clear communication and meeting the needs of the client are the most important pieces to pet care to me. I like to take notes about expectations and routines, such as feeding or play time, that way I can provide pets with the most consistency and familiarity I can. I like to update folks about their pets by sending photos and messages. And I keep my phone nearby with notifications on throughout my time so that I am available if folks have any questions, concerns, or are just missing their pet and would like a picture!
About: Walks every 2-3 hours playtime feedings and bathing if necessary can help with training puppies like potty training or just commands if needed.. will provide the supplies for potty training Pet care fits in well, I don't work and the only time I won't be able to accept a request is if I have a appointment I don't have pets anymore but I used to feed them take on good walks and have play time I live in a gated community so leash will be required unless the owner says it's good with commands
About: I’ve cared for family and friend’s pets for over 20 years. I’ve been a foster mom and I have 5 dogs of all sizes and ages. I am currently working part time so I am able to spend plenty of time playing and walking with your fur baby as needed during the week and sometimes on weekends. He was over the top excited to play with the other boarder and day care dogs. Hiedi keeps her experienced professional eyes on them, so you never need to worry one bit. About: I am just starting to my fourth career, playing with your companion. I recently retired from teaching sustainable development at UAlbany. I now spend my days outside with hairy friend Herman. I picked up my first stray, Bandit, at 9. I have had a at least one dog since then, I am now 63. All from shelters or strays. I also did doggie foster care too. Known to be gentle and friend of the furry ones. I start each day with a morning meander across the 25 acres on a dead end road. Your companion will be well exercised, loved and cared for as long as they get along with my 14 year old hairy friend Herman, who lets cats eat from his dishes. He runs the place when it comes to house rules. He does not have viscous bone in his body. After three careers and global travel I am recently retired. My days are spent gardening, walking, sitting on the porch, listening to music, etc. I am rarely gone more than a few hours as Herman, my four legged friend, needs special care at 14 years old. I am typically up before dawn, no dog or alarm necessary. My day typically begins with me waking predawn and greeting the new day with my hound Herman on the 25 acres we cohabitate. Most is abandoned agriculture returning to forest for 35 plus years that is bisected by a small babbling brook. Breakfast is then served before returning outside. In climate weather I am outside more than 70% of my day outside. At 14 he chooses to stay in sometimes. Your companion will be free to make their own choice too. My life ambition is to nurture life. I have cared for pets since I was born as my family had cats. There is a fenced area that includes four shaded area. There will be plenty of water, including a baby pool for play as well as sprinklers. This area is shares two fences lines with my garden, has direct access to a walk out basement, and is fully visible from my porch. The dogs will have near 24/7 personal attention and care. I live sustainably. There are no chemicals in my lawn or garden. I have an enclosed porch that in the summer is open air, but no steps to escape. Only with your permission would I walk a guest off leash. Before walking them off leash I will need feel 100% confident they respond to command when other distractions are present. Again with your permission I would take your friend to a fenced in dog park visit as a trial run. Herman, my housemate, is a happy healthy 14 year old he is my best reference. He also has final word on all guest of all species. About an 1/2 acre is fenced with direct access from the house through the basement door. It includes shaded doggie lounges, a baby pool in the summer, toys galore, and lots of attention as the space is adjacent to my garden and the covered porch. It has the capacity to be divided if unruly dog needs to be isolated or there are little ones that just need time away from the bigger ones. Indoors, dogs are free to roam in the basement and first floor. If they are cage trained I can accommodate that. The two beds are off limits. To prevent misunderstanding with bed loving dogs I will keep my guest room. Both the porch and the living room couches are fine. Little ones may use chairs too. The house is really set up for Herman’s comfort and safety. The 32x10 covered front porch is a favorite of Herman and all his visiting friends. Your hairy friend will be delighted by this feature too. One more thing, the hardwood floors are currently covered in rubber “yoga mats” as Herman can not cope with slippery floors. There are also many large dog beds that Herman is happy to share. Opps, where are our manners; welcome to our slice of Paradise!😊
