“I can’t thank Melissa and her husband enough for taking care of my little guy. They both make the process so easy for dropping off and watching over your dog. They have a perfect sized yard for activities and are with your dog around the clock. I have never felt more comfortable leaving chip with them. My pup requires a lot of care for medical reasons. Melissa and her husband knew exactly what to do in regards to his meds. Chip came home with me exactly how I left him. I highly recommend to work with Melissa when boarding you dog.”

I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Kathy again and highly recommend her!”

They took the time to do a proper meet and greet which helped my dog get to know them and made my experience so comforting to know exactly where my dog would be as well as get to know who my dog would be staying with. “This was my first time ever leaving any of my dogs with a pet sitter, so it was a nerve-wracking experience to find the best match for my young puppy. “I’m so happy to have found Julie to take care of my pride and joy, Zoey, when I need to travel. Julie was very accommodating and reasonably priced. She kept me updated by sending photos of Zoey a few times a day. During my trip away, my flight was cancelled. I called Julie, and she immediately responded that she could keep Zoey until I arrived. I feel blessed to finally have someone I can trust, and is readily available. Julie loves dogs. Zoey seemed very relaxed when I picked her up, no signs of stress. I believe Julie made Zoey feel very much at home. Thank you for your support Julie, I will definitely be booking upcoming stays.”

“This weekend was one of the hardest weekend of my life, we had to leave to bury my dad. I was devastated. We left King in Jinay’s care and it was the best decision. The way she took care of King made an unbearable weekend better and it’s something I will never forget. She sent us pictures, videos, and kept us up to date with our baby. Thank you Jinay for taking out the stress and worry for us and giving King love ❤️. King got to meet new friends. She even had a gift for us when we picked him up. Jinay I don’t even have to words to tell you how much we appreciated you. Thank you thank you thank you.”

About: I am a professional dog walker and pet sitter with over twenty years of hands on experience caring for animals. I recently moved to Suffolk County, New York from the Upper West Side of Manhattan after closing my small business in the city. Long Island has been an amazing change for us and we truly love being here. Animals have always been a huge part of my life and have shaped my career for more than two decades. Now that I work from home, I find myself really missing the daily connection with pets. I am certified in pet grooming and have experience in animal behavior as well as light training. I love teaching dogs fun tricks like giving kisses and building trust with them through patience and consistency. I also have experience working as a veterinary technician and receptionist, which has given me a strong understanding of animal health and communication with pet owners. I still maintain several wonderful clients from my time in Manhattan and I am excited to grow my services here in Suffolk County and meet new dogs and their families. About This Sitter Animals have always been my passion for as long as I can remember. I never imagined how far this path would take me, but I truly cannot picture myself doing anything else. Caring for pets feels natural and rewarding to me, and I am grateful every day to be part of their lives. Why I Love Dog Sitting I have loved dogs since the first time I was able to have one of my own. The more I learn about different breeds and personalities, the more my appreciation grows. Every dog has its own temperament and charm, and getting to know them is one of my favorite parts of this work. Meet My Pets In loving memory of Miah. Jenna is currently my active little companion. They are two beautiful Chihuahuas who have filled my life with joy and laughter. About My Home We live in a small four bedroom house in Coram with a backyard that offers space for fresh air and outdoor time. My Experience Administering Medication Yes. I am comfortable giving oral medications only. Pet care fits into my routine very naturally because I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I am available most weekdays and weekends, especially afternoons and evenings. Since I am home often, I can provide consistent attention, walks, feeding schedules, and check ins without rushing. I live in a small four bedroom home in Coram with a backyard where dogs can safely get fresh air and supervised outdoor time. Inside the home, pets are never left unattended for long periods and I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully. I have over twenty years of experience working with animals, including veterinary office experience, so I am very observant of behavior changes and health concerns. I also have one senior toothless small house dog who is gentle and used to other pets, but I always introduce animals slowly and respectfully based on their comfort level.
“Our first time leaving our fur-daughter with Carlos Andrés and Natalia and I think we have found her second family. They sent pics throughout the day of Natalia walking her, and pics of her taking a nap on Carlos Andrés. They seem to be awesome caretakers and we will be hiring them as often as we can. Thank you!”

“Angie was an amazing dog sitter! She was so flexible and accommodating with my last minute request, and she kept me updated with great photos and messages throughout the stay. Most importantly, my puppy had a wonderful time and was so well cared for. I highly recommend Angie!”

I have a friendly chihuahua mix (8 lbs) and 2 cats, but if needed, I have plenty of room to give everyone their own space. I have an unfenced backyard with plenty of room to romp. Dogs will always be leashed or tethered in yard.

About: Hi! My name is Lauren, and I’m a responsible, caring, and reliable pet lover. I’ve grown up around dogs and cats and have experience caring for pets for family, friends, and neighbors. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, feeding, or lots of love and attention, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits, and boarding in my home. I do work a few hostess shifts during the week, but they’re only for a few hours, so I have a flexible schedule. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have a very clean, pet-friendly home with a large, fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play and explore. I’ll send lots of cute photo updates so you can feel connected while you’re away. I also keep treats on hand (if approved by you!), and if an emergency ever came up, I have a trusted veterinarian just down the road for added peace of mind.

“Amber was amazing—truly a lifesaver for a last-minute daycare! She took great care of Miller and kept me updated throughout the day, which gave me so much peace of mind. I 100% recommend her, and Miller can’t wait to go back for more fun!”

“This was my first time using Rover.com. I had picked up my German shepherd, Evie, from a shelter in North Carolina last November. Based on her recorded condition when brought in as a stray 5 weeks before she had been through a rough period. She has fully recovered now and is in good health. My wife and I wanted to find someone to board her with where she would be happy when we're away. We identified a few possibilities at the Rover website and following a positive meet and greet with Nadjeska last week, had Evie spend the day with her yesterday. It went very well. Nadjeska sent us several texts with photos during the day updating us on Evie's stay. We were looking for a home where Evie could spend time with and play with other dogs and Evie made a new friend, Sparkles, Najeska's little dog. Nadjeska has a fenced yard which provides a safe place for them to run around in the fresh air. Evie seemed to enjoy the day, Nadjeska obviously loves dogs, and we will be repeat clients in the near future.”

I'm never bored as long as there's a dog nearby :) I'm also a Stony Brook University student with a flexible schedule and my own reliable transportation. I'll take great care of your dog(s) and your home. Looking forward to meeting you and your pet... My other job is seasonal landscaping, however my boss is very flexible and lenient when it comes to my Rover job. My landscaping will never interfere with my care for your pet. About: I’ve been around dogs for basically my whole life and I’ve always loved animals. I’ve been taking care of my own pets- walking, feeding, bathing, training, etc- for as long as I can remember. More recently I’ve taken care of friends pets while their owners are away- including dogs, cats, and a bunny. In these instances I was responsible for checking in on the pets a few times a day to feed them, let them outside, refill water, and give them lots of love and attention. I have also volunteered to dog walk at a few local shelters. I’m currently home from college for the summer and I have a lot of free time. I have a few short trips that are blocked out on my calendar and should be available otherwise. When walking dogs I try to always be aware of my surroundings and be on the lookout for cars, other dogs, or wild animals. My own dog can be a bit sneaky and is a big chewer so I know how important it is to be vigilant when watching dogs. I’ve also had a reactive dog in the past so I’m confident in my abilities to distract and remove a dog from a hostile situation. I’m always interested in learning more about proper pet care and have spent time researching pet safe foods and activities for my own pets. My goal is always to give a pet the best care possible.
About: I've taken care of multiple dogs and cats in my neighborhood. I watch dogs for my family and friends when they go away. I walk, feed, and play with their pets. I work part time, three days a week until 4 pm. I can walk dogs after work or any other day. I am available on the weekends. I currently do not accept boarding requests. When I am caring for dogs in their home I give them lots of love and attention and play. I take them on walks as needed or determined by their physical abilities. I am attentive and here to give your pet companionship!
About: I have had dogs of different kinds throughout my whole life. Two rhodesian-ridgebacks, one pit bull, and a jack russel. In addition to this I have dog sat for close friends that have a Golden Doodle, A yorkshire terrier and even cats! I am prepared to deal with pet accidents, special instructions, walks, baths, feeding, etc. I am home from college for break until January 10th! I can work any day and I love all animals! I take care of my own dog every day so I am used to anything they throw at us! I got my own dog at 14 years old and am now almost 21. In high school, I woke two hours before I needed to be up for school and took my dog on a walk, then he was fed and taken out again before I left. In the afternoon after School I took my own dog and my family dog out for a walk while my mom was working from home. I bathe my dog on my own and pay for whatever he needs out of pocket. If I were to care for a dog in someone else’s home I would play with the dog and be extra conscious of the environment. Also I will take them on walks or runs and feed them when needed!! In the past when I have watched a friend’s dog they usually had instructions and times for me to go. I would do what they asked and stay a little longer to give them some company.

About: Hello, I’m Hailey! I’m currently earning my post graduate hours as a mental health counselor. The field can be pretty heavy and demanding, so doing things that bring genuine joy and rejuvenate you is so important. I love animals and I love spending time outside, so walking dogs is like the best of both worlds. It gives me the opportunity to be present, grounded, and be involved in my community. It is also rough out here being pre licensed, so anything extra helps. I’ve owned dogs all of life; I’ve had 6 dachshunds this far, so I have experience with dogs of all ages. Additionally, I’ve also been dog sitting for my relatives throughout the years. While my dogs are teenie tiny, I’ve walked medium and larger dogs before. Breed experience is as follows: dachshunds, Irish terrier, border collies, a husky, and a mastiff. Behaviors I’ve dealt with include anxiety, reactivity, and resource guarding. My most recent edition to my family guards and is very much a “my way or the highway” kind of dog. That being said, I’ve done a lot of research on dog behaviors and try to be mindful of their needs and body language. I have a background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and learned a lot about conditioning and reinforcement in my years of education. I’m in no way a dog trainer, but I know when to reward desired behaviors and when not to reward. I prefer to stick to dog walking since my schedule outside of Rover is pretty demanding. I’d still be more than happy to help feed and give medications if needed. Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your best furry friends! While my schedule is fairly demanding outside of River, my days off from my other job are very open. I’d be open to providing services on Thursdays and Sundays :) I will ensure that any gates are closed and that I keep a watchful eye on your pet when they’re in your backyard. Please let me know if there are any areas that are off limits or if they are reactive to sounds/neighbors/rodents. I’m very careful with my own dogs and will give the same respect and care towards your pets.

I am so happy we found her and will definitely use her again!! Thank you!”

“Jeff was wonderful. Incredibly communicative, warm, friendly and clearly knowledgeable about dogs and dog care. We felt completely safe and totally comfortable leaving our Lucy with him.”

“Our dog Pepper had a wonderful stay with Matthew and Kristin over the Thanksgiving holiday. They were super communicative and sent photos of our pup throughout the weekend. I think Pepper wants us to go out of town again so she can go back and see her new friends! Thanks for everything, Matthew and Kristin!!”

“This is the second time my dog has stayed with Antonia, and she absolutely loves it there! I always get lots of pictures and updates, and I know she’s being well cared for. Every time I pick her up, she never wants to leave. Highly recommend! 🐾❤️”

“Thank you for taking such good care of my Lily while I was on vacation for a week. The constant updates and photos put me at ease to know my little girl was happy and comfortable being away from me for the first time. I loved that she was the only dog in the home with someone always home to let her out or monitor her. She had a lot of fun! Will definitely be booking again for any future trips.”

“My Golden had a great stay with Connie and family. She sent photos, gave updates, and we met before at a dog park to make sure our dogs got along. He was well cared for, and even sent him home with a goodie bad with some treats. They are much more like professional caretakers and couldn’t recommend enough.”

“We’ve used Ariel multiple times now and Max is always happy when we pick him up. She sends multiple photos while we’re away to see him having a blast with the other pups. Max loves when he stays with Ariel and her family! I would 100% recommend Ariel for anyone looking for a trustworthy person to watch your dog while you’re away!”
“Rocko had a great time with Alejandro and even made new friends. Alejandro sent me videos every day of Rocko playing with his new friends. I highly recommend Alejandro and will definitely use him in the future.”
