About: I have been a dog owner my entire life and I am entirely qualified to take care of any particular dog's needs. I love giving a pooch plenty of attention and am always making sure they are happy. Whether lounging around is your dog's favorite thing to do or go for a walk in the park, I always cater to a dog's needs. I have house-sat family friends' dogs before and am very comfortable with all other dogs. I am experienced sitting senior dogs and dogs that require extra care. Your dog will be happy with me, and I would be more than happy to take care of your furry friend. I will take him/her on 3+ walks if need be and I only leave for exercise & errands. If I leave for leisure, your dog won’t be left alone for a long period of time. Your dog will stay with me in my spacious apartment with plenty of spots to lounge and explore. I have plenty of parks around to get them out and about.

About: I grew up on a farm, and have had multiple pets my entire life. I have raised all types of large animals, as well as chickens, rabbits, peacocks, cats, and dogs, so I am comfortable providing whatever level of care is needed. I work from home, so I have open availability and can accommodate almost any schedule Due to the nature of my job, I am able to work fully remotely which allows me to have an almost completely open availability and stop by as needed. Due to our two cats, we do not accommodate other pets in our home. But in other people's homes, I check for any specific behaviors to watch out for, and if there is anything I can do to build trust with the pets quickly, because every pet has their quirks

About: howdy! I grew up with dogs, and have been pet sitting since I was a teenager. During the pandemic, I worked at a pet store that offered adoptions & grooming services. I cared for & homed >100 dogs & still enjoy updates from some of their parents about their new lives :) I almost became a trainer after working to correct my sister’s dog’s leash anxiety/aggression, but ended up pivoting careers and moving cities. I miss hanging out with dogs, I’m thoroughly trained on how to care for most special needs, and would love to hang out with your pup <3 I am currently in between jobs and have lots of time to spend with your pet! When my new role begins, I hope to continue with walks on the weekends. I care for them as if they were my own. In a client’s home, I am sure to leave the space clean and well cared for, and ensure each element of the pet’s routine is accounted for. I have a cat, so do not plan to host any overnight stays for the time being, but my cat does love dogs for when the time comes.

About: Hi there! My name is Nate and I'm an experienced dog sitter and walker based in Prospect Heights. Brooklyn. I've been doing Rover for the last 5 years and have experience taking care of small, medium and large sized dogs. In addition, I have a 6 year old Jindo mix and 8 year old shiba of my own! They have helped me through many high and low times and I adore the different characteristics that each of them brings into our family. During your dog's stay, I'll be sure to take them out on walks, go to the dog park and hang with them at home. I currently live in an apartment building that's close to a dog park and walking distance to Grand Army Plaza so I'll be sure to take them out to the dog parks there. I work from home so have time to take your dog out throughout the day. I also take my dog out for walks 3x so can bring your pup along walks with her! I live in a studio and take my dog out to the park every day. She gets plenty of time out of the house and would do the same with your dog!
About: I have been an animal lover since I was 4 years old when my parents got our first dog. When I was 8 an Uncle and Aunt introduced me to their pair of Rhodesian Ridgebacks they brought back from their stay in South Africa, and then the two had 8 puppies, and I still remember how comfortable I felt being amongst 10 Ridgebacks all my height or taller in a huge back yard! They were all gentle giants. I grew up in the tropics, so being around animals was something that was always around me and prepared me to encounter all kinds of wild animals on a daily basis. In college I’missed being around animals, so I pet sat for my professors and volunteered at the local humane societies to dog walk, bathe and clean cages. After that I became a zookeeper for a year, and it was an enlightening experience to say the least. I’ve walked dogs and cat sat on and off for folks on Craigslist and for friends and neighbors for over 20 years in Brooklyn. I walked my neighbor’s 95 lb yellow Labrador for 5 years since the pandemic until they sadly moved upstate. I teach college courses on human-animal relationships and ecology, but still manage to keep my schedule available during the academic school year for my fellow furry companions. I have a very flexible schedule till mid August after that I return to my academic semester schedule when I’m able to walk or give your dog a potty break or walk between 12:30 and 3:00pm and after 7:30pm M-F. Additionally with some planning ahead, I could be available on Fridays through the weekends when needed. I live in a small studio apt on the 4th floor of a Brown Stone walk-up, the house of my elderly landlords. So hosting a dog that is sensitive to noises outside the apartment and barks a lot won’t work. That said, I don’t have access to the back yard. but I can give your dog regular relief and exercise at Fort Greene Park every at least 3 times a day.
