As he recovered from his vet visit, he required constant care which involved multiple check-ins a day, monitoring how often he drank water, ate his food, and used the litter box. He also needed to be given 3 different medications on different time schedules, 2 of which required being administered with a syringe in his mouth. Danika was able to do all of this and even texted us updates after each visit to let us know how things were going. Her availability on such short notice along with her attention to detail and genuine love and care for our cat gave us the peace of mind we needed to enjoy our vacation without feeling worried the entire time. About: My family and I have owned pets since I can remember. I am currently 33 with 3 pets of my own, but have grown up with pets in the home my whole childhood. My family always had dogs and cats in our home, and additionally I owned a bearded dragon, fish, and a tortoise that I helped care for daily. Once I moved to college in 2014, I got my first pet of my own. Her name is Stella and she has been with me for the last 12 years. She has lived with me in Oregon, Texas, and now Reno. Additionally, my wife and I have a silly orange cat named Nemo, and a fun/energetic Frenchie named Comet. While living in Texas we adopted another cat with FeLV who also developed diabetes. I have experience giving insulin injections and taking blood glucose readings. I have met and cared for many of my friend’s pets of all ages and sizes and can responsibly provide all daily care for your furry babies as needed. This includes but is not limited to feeding, walking, playing, transporting, giving oral meds, and subcutaneous injections. I currently work as a teacher and have extended breaks during the fall, winter, and summer. During the school year I will have availability during afternoons and evenings for some care activities, and weekends for more. During breaks, if not traveling, and I will have a lot more flexibility daily. Update 06/08: I am currently on summer break from teaching. My weekday availability has been updated with more available times/ services. I currently live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my 2 dogs and an indoor cat. The pets have access to the entire unit including furniture during the day and when sleeping. Our spare bedroom can be used for your pet if they are more anxious and want separation from the other animals. My dogs are crated when no one is home to supervise, and the cat has full access to the unit at all times. My pets are all friendly towards other dogs and cats. In the past when sitting for animals, I have them fall into the same routines as my animals for walking, feeding, pottying, and crating, unless specified different by the owner. When doing drop ins and house sitting, I follow all instructions left by the owner.

About: I have been around animals my entire life. This has enabled me to be comfortable with rescues, seniors, puppies, and special needs animals. I have experience pet sitting, dog walking, and with basic dog training. I have three pets of my own, with vast medical and behavioral needs so I am familiar with challenges of all types. I am always willing to learn and strive to do better every day. I will be holding a close to full time job that will take up Most of my mornings (4am - 12pm). This schedule could fluctuate - however I will be steadily available during afternoons and evenings. I have a short commute to Downtown and Midtown Reno so I can optimize time with your pet(s). I plan to offer 30 minute walks but am very open to adjustments on that time based on individual needs. Drop in visits will usually be about 30 minutes to cover all basic needs and give much appreciated attention. Again this can be flexible based on individual pet needs. Safety is a huge part of caring for my own pets, and I plan to carry this to yours. For dog walking education on breeds, energy levels, and health safety standards is something I am always researching. Knowing when weather can negatively impact a pets health, how to safely redirect from potentially dangerous situations, and constantly monitoring your individual pets needs is always my priority. For drop in visits and pet sitting safety is even more paramount. Making sure cats are safe and indoors, all potential chewing and safety hazards are removed, and that every animal is looked over so anything amiss is caught early is essential. Your pets are most comfortable in your own home, and I want to make sure that that comfort is met with high safety measures on my part.

About: I've have taken care of animals since I was in elementary school, I have taken care of reptiles so I'm not afraid of bugs and I've also taken care of dogs and even during covid I had a family member bring me their dogs for 3 months to take care of them. Currently since I moved to reno and looking for a part time job I have a lot of time to be taking care of dogs currently so I don't mind what time it will be. I have two dogs and they are friendly, and I always look out for them weather that's in my backyard or on a hike since currently in reno there seems to be many snakes out there and I would like to keep them safe, but also want them to have fun while being safe.
About: My sister relied on me to house sit and watch her dogs for a couple of weeks every summer when I was in middle and high school. I grew up with dogs and was responsible for taking them on walks, feeding them, brushing them, bathing them, and playing with them. I am between jobs so I am quite flexible right now. I am looking to get a full-time position at which point I will update my schedule here. My cats are feral rescues so I cannot afford to bring any other animals into my home, but I am very cautious while going on walks to be very aware of other dogs (especially off leash), people driving too fast in residential areas, and making sure to bring adequate water for walks on warm days.
About: I grew up my whole life with dogs. Nothing is better then receiving their love when you walk through the door. My home even has it's own dog bathroom, dog run & house which is heated and cooled. I'm a volunteer at Nevada Humane Society. Dogs are the best!!! I'm retired but would like to get outdoors more and nothing better then walking/running a furry buddy next to me. I do have a few PRIVATE customers before I became a Rover emp. So I do try and keep my calendar up to date. I have a fenced yard, dog wash bathroom in my home which leads to a dog run and dog house heated and cooled. I have a nice big backyard that can get your dog tired out!
About: I am the friend who's always called to watch over their pets! I am excited to make sure your fur babies are happy, healthy, and watched over as if my own! I am currently available all days of the week including weekends for 7am-9pm services. I am happy to help inside/outside or wherever I am needed.
