“As a first time Rover user I was very hesitant leaving my little love with a stranger! Ron put my worries at ease from the meet and greet until the end of my trip! He was phenomenal! He sent photos while I was away so I could see what everyone was up to, and one of his photos was the best picture that has ever been captured of Scout (and is now my phone background)! When my flight home was cancelled, he was very flexible and understanding! I can really tell Ron took care of Scout, because when I usually leave him with friends, he is hoarse from barking, but not with Ron! I'm beyond satisfied and will continue to book with Ron for future travels Scout can't participate in!”

“Chelsea was a superb dog hostess. She was responsive throughout the booking and our entire weekend stay and provided timely updates and lots of cute photos all weekend. Our senior dachshund was well cared for and came home calm and relaxed. I will definitely use her services again and if you have a special needs, older dog this may be the perfect home for your next boarding. Highly recommended! We'll be back.”

“Aaron and his family are always so wonderful to my Maddy girl. She looks forward to spending time with them and every time she comes home I can tell how much they have worked with her and kept up her hard earned skills with obedience training.”

“Kelly was an amazing dog sitter. She was very prepared with the questions she needed to know to give our dog the best time. She provided our dog with lots of love and fun and overall it was a great experience for us!”

“Ronnie was fantastic. He and his pups were very friendly and sweet to our high energy blue heeler. Edith basically had her own doggie vacation. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves their pets like family.”

“Gina was very communicative with me and always made sure to send updates and photos. She was very easy to work with and really took the time to understand my dog’s needs. She is an excellent dog sitter and I highly recommend her!”

“Frisco felt right at home staying with Hallie while we were away for a long weekend in Reno. Hallie was an excellent communicator and kept us updated every day with photos and messages which gave us so much peace of mind. Frisco was well cared for and having a great time playing with other dog friends too. We would absolutely book with Hallie again!”

“Shannon and David are always so great with Rambo, gives many updates, and he always is so happy with them! Thankful to have found them, and I know Rambo loves them ☺️”

“Max had a fantastic time! Thank you Kathryn for taking such good care of him! We received lots of pictures during his stay, he got to walk and play and get cuddles.”

“We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Laura! From the moment we dropped our dog off, we felt completely at ease knowing he was in caring and capable hands. When we picked him up, it was clear how happy and well cared for he had been—his tail was wagging, he was calm, and honestly, he seemed like he had just returned from his own little vacation! It’s such a relief to find someone who genuinely loves animals and treats them like her own. Thank you, Laura, for taking such great care of our pup. We’ll definitely be booking with you again!”

“My Cherry is super shy and has some special requirements and Sarah was so accommodating! She treated her as part of the family. Also, she is very quick to respond to all messages :). I definitely recommend having your pup stay with Sarah and will be repeat customer!”

“I want to thank Young and his lovely family (including his 2 beautiful dogs) for taking very good care of my dog. It was our first time leaving our dog at Young’s place, but for sure we will using and recommending his services from now on. He and his family really showed love for my dog. I really appreciate that. He really shows passion for what he does. He sent me updates, pictures and he also created a blog page for my dog. I really appreciate Young for the time he took to do this! Young and his family are an excellent doggie caregivers. We would for sure use Young’s services again when we visit reno again. Thank you Young and your family for your excellent service! We are pleased and grateful for taking really good care of my dog!”

“Boomer had a great time with Christina and her family. She sent pics of him while he was in her care which made us feel even more comfortable leaving him. We would definitely leave him with Christina again.”

“Shawna is kind. Her home is safe. The dogs in her care are well-looked after. It was so nice to meet her & her husband Steven. Very strong recommendation. * * * * * ++”

“Susan took great care of our two pups! She sent lots of pics while we were out of town and was super easy to communicate with. Our pups received lots of love and attention from Susan and her family. Definitely recommend!!”

“Filanthi and her daughter were so loving to my senior dog, Nugget. I appreciate their enthusiasm and attention given to my dog who has limited vision and is hard of hearing. Nugget also enjoyed hanging out with their senior dog which made his stay more comfortable.”
“Jacob and his fiancée did such a wonderful job taking care of Teddy! He provided photos and updates often and I was confident he was being well taken care of. My puppy always looked so happy and like he was always having so much fun!”

About: I'm so happy with my choice to transition to travel nursing, but I miss having dogs in my life! I'm looking to walk furry friends as I get to know the local area and serve your community. My work (and recreation) schedule varies, so I may not be able to commit to a set routine, but I'm happy to jump in and walk your pupper when I can! Please let me know what your rules are for your dog and what kind of behavior I can expect from them. Are they friendly with other dogs? Do they go bonkers for squirrels? Gobble up sidewalk trash like a Rumba? Is every morning walk going to be a 3-pooper? Let me know! :-) For long hikes, I will keep your dog leashed until I know them well and have your permission for them to be off-leash.

“Catherine did a fantastic job with my cats during their drop-in visits. They were well-fed, cared for, and I loved getting the updates and photos. It gave me total peace of mind while I was away.”

“Definitely recommend Jackson! He watched our new puppy Tom Tom and went above and beyond, cleaned up after him, sent tons of photos throughout the stay, and was easy to reach the whole time.”

“Michael was amazing caring for Chloe and also being respectful of the space. He spent time with Chloe and played, provided food and loads of love. I would definitely get his care again for Chloe.”

“Chelsea was a wonderful pet sitter for us while we were away on a camping trip. She arrived when scheduled, followed through with our requests, sent many photos, and provided exceptional communication when it came to updates and any problems. We came home and our kitties were well taken care, along with our home. Looking forward to our next trip knowing that we can have a reliable and responsible pet sitter available for our cats.”

“Highly recommend. Cyndi and her daughter are a delight. I was quite anxious about hiring a cat sitter for 11 days, but the moment I met them, they put me at ease. I felt confident that they would take great care of my two cats. They did not disappoint. I would hire them again to catsit.”

“Kiley was amazing. Last minute booking and she made time to come meet the bebes and see the place first. Very attentive to their health and dispositions and great communicator. Thank you!”

“Danika was an absolute life-saver when our cat ended up going to the emergency vet just a few days before my family and I were going on vacation for a whole week after. As he recovered from his vet visit, he required constant care which involved multiple check-ins a day, monitoring how often he drank water, ate his food, and used the litter box. He also needed to be given 3 different medications on different time schedules, 2 of which required being administered with a syringe in his mouth. Danika was able to do all of this and even texted us updates after each visit to let us know how things were going. Her availability on such short notice along with her attention to detail and genuine love and care for our cat gave us the peace of mind we needed to enjoy our vacation without feeling worried the entire time. I would gladly book her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone else needing someone to look after their kitties. Huge props to Danika!”

“This was our first time using Rover and after reviewing several profiles, chose Sherina based upon previous comments. During our meet and greet, Smudge, our rescue cat, warmed up to Sherina right away. Sherina visited at the times she said, provided pictures and a narrative after each visit which was appreciated. Will be depending on her when future care is needed.”

“Monica was a wonderful help while I was away. My usually very timid and anxious cat warmed up to her immediately. She made sure he got all his medicine daily, played with him and went above and beyond to clean some cat throw up off my carpet one day. Highly recommend.”

About: I have two cats of my own and would love to care for your furry friend. I have experience with cats of all ages, from energetic kittens to senior cats. I know every cat has a unique personality and deserves care that helps them feel safe and comfortable. Whether your cat enjoys playtime, cuddles, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I'm happy to provide the attention and care they need while you're away.

About: I grew up with cats and have lived with them throughout my life, including cats with very different personalities. I’m happy to spend time with a social, cuddly cat or give a more independent cat the space they want and let them come to me on their own terms if they choose. I’ve also cared for households with both dogs and cats and have experience caring for a cat recovering from leg surgery, including keeping up with their needs and routine while they recovered. I genuinely enjoy cats and don’t expect every cat to interact with me the same way. Some want attention, some want playtime and some are perfectly content knowing I’m there while they do their own thing. I’m happy to follow the approach that makes your cat most comfortable!
“Kevin is amazing!!!! I messaged him last minute before a quick day trip and I kid you not he responded in less than 3 minutes and was at my door to meet my dog and myself within the next 30. Beyond punctual, friendly and kind. 10/10 experience and would absolutely book again!”

About: I grew up with 8 cats. I've also been doing cat drop ins ever since I was 12. I always make sure to check if their box is clean first and check the area to make sure things are still good. And then I always spend time for pets/cuddle or playtime if they want to do that.

“Chelsea takes such good care of our puppy! Rue and Goose are best friends and she always comes home worn out from playing all day! Rue is so excited to stay with Chelsea for the day. Chelsea has been very flexible with our schedule and we appreciate her so much!”

“We left our dog with Shawna for daycare. Shawna was an attentive caretaker and provided regular updates and photos. She carefully introduced our dog to the other dog in her care and the two pups had a good time playing. Our dog is shy and anxious with new people, but seemed to do well with Shawna.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals from house sitting to dog walking since my teenage years, and it’s been one of the most rewarding parts of my life. Neighbors, family friends, and family have trusted me to provide exceptional care for their furry companions. My deep love for animals led me to volunteer at the UCD Vet Center during high school, where I assisted veterinarians in hands on care. Later, I dedicated time to shelters like the Davis SPCA and the Pacific Palisades SPCA in Los Angeles, working with rescue animals and learning how to nurture even the most vulnerable pets. Over the years, I’ve rescued and rehabilitated numerous animals, many of whom became cherished members of my family. It’s been an incredible journey watching them thrive, whether it’s a senior dog finding comfort or a shy kitten finally coming out of their shell. My approach is rooted in holistic care, recognizing that diet, environment, and emotional well-being are just as important as physical health. I’ve seen firsthand how natural remedies, proper nutrition, and mindful interaction can transform an animal’s quality of life. Whether your pet needs a lively walk, a playful home visit, or overnight care while you’re traveling, I’d love to be their trusted companion. I believe in tailoring care to each animal’s unique personality, whether that means helping calm anxious pups or adjusting activities for a senior dog with mobility challenges. Feel free to ask me anything—I’m happy to share references or discuss how I can best support your pet’s needs. Looking forward to meeting your four-legged family member and giving them the same love and attention I’ve given animals my whole life! I am currently really flexible with days and hours available. I am working from home right now which allows me this flexibility. Open m- f as well as weekends I have a fenced yard and one dog at home that loves and gets along with all animals and is super friendly. I have plenty of space and separate rooms in the house along with a gate I can put up if your fury love wants a little space of their own for play time!
“Cameron and Amanda took great care of Emmy while I was on a work trip to Reno. Their dog Mitchell is a total sweetheart and their home is clean and set up well for hosting pups. My dog is a little big introverted so I appreciate that they don't take on too many dogs at once. Communication was prompt and friendly, would definitely recommend them!”

“Nikki was absolutely wonderful with our dogs, Enero and Angelina! From the moment we met her, it was clear she genuinely loves animals and treats them like family. While we were away, she kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It wasn't just that she was doing her job—it was obvious from the way she interacted with them that she truly cared about their happiness, comfort, and well-being. Both dogs looked relaxed, happy, and well-loved in every update. Nikki went above and beyond to make sure they were cared for, and we could tell they enjoyed their time with her. We highly recommend Nikki to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and attentive pet sitter. We would gladly have her watch Enero and Angelina again!”

“Timber doesn’t love or even like most people or other dogs. But it’s clear they hit it off from the very start. Thanks, Maddie. We look forward to brining her back.”

“Michelle was a wonderful host who Oliver absolutely enjoyed his time with her and her dog. He looked forward each morning to go to their place. He loved his walks & playtime & came home absolutely exhausted each day.”

“Sarah was so friendly, accommodating and communicative! Even before we spent a full day with Sarah, our pup sprinted to her. Talk about a green flag! We really appreciated Sarah rescheduling our meet and greet a few times as well since the holidays are such a busy time.”

“Elaine was very sweet and understanding with my pup. I highly recommend her. My pup is going through separation anxiety and she was great with her. I will be contacting her again!☺️”

“If your dog likes adventure, Tim’s your guy. If your dog likes to be chill and mellow like Jello-O, Tim’s your guy. If your dog can’t stop, won’t stop, Tim’s your guy. If your dog is judgy of humans (seriously, they can sniff the bad ones!), Tim’s your guy! My three puppers of varying preferences and personalities—including my separation-anxiety-suffering barky-bark—LOVE daycare with Tim! He’s all about the dogs… Yours, mine, ALL THE DOGS. At larger daycare/boarding facilities, my boys are super anxious when I leave them (exacerbating my own anxiety for leaving them), and then take a few days to bounce back after I get them home. With Tim, they’re eager to bound in for fun and good company, and come back home happy and tails-a-waggin’. I know they’re safe and with an experienced handler of multiple dogs. 10/10 recommend, two paws up!”

“Young did a great job making me and my dog Finn feel comfortable in new surroundings. Lots of communication throughout the day with photos and videos showing how Finn was doing. Young really cares about his clients and goes out of his way to make sure everyone is comfortable. It was a great experience and we will be using Young again for day care and boarding.”

About: My family and I have owned pets since I can remember. I am currently 33 with 3 pets of my own, but have grown up with pets in the home my whole childhood. My family always had dogs and cats in our home, and additionally I owned a bearded dragon, fish, and a tortoise that I helped care for daily. Once I moved to college in 2014, I got my first pet of my own. Her name is Stella and she has been with me for the last 12 years. She has lived with me in Oregon, Texas, and now Reno. Additionally, my wife and I have a silly orange cat named Nemo, and a fun/energetic Frenchie named Comet. While living in Texas we adopted another cat with FeLV who also developed diabetes. I have experience giving insulin injections and taking blood glucose readings. I have met and cared for many of my friend’s pets of all ages and sizes and can responsibly provide all daily care for your furry babies as needed. This includes but is not limited to feeding, walking, playing, transporting, giving oral meds, and subcutaneous injections. I currently work as a teacher and have extended breaks during the fall, winter, and summer. During the school year I will have availability during afternoons and evenings for some care activities, and weekends for more. During breaks, if not traveling, and I will have a lot more flexibility daily. Update 06/08: I am currently on summer break from teaching. My weekday availability has been updated with more available times/ services. I currently live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my 2 dogs and an indoor cat. The pets have access to the entire unit including furniture during the day and when sleeping. Our spare bedroom can be used for your pet if they are more anxious and want separation from the other animals. My dogs are crated when no one is home to supervise, and the cat has full access to the unit at all times. My pets are all friendly towards other dogs and cats. In the past when sitting for animals, I have them fall into the same routines as my animals for walking, feeding, pottying, and crating, unless specified different by the owner. When doing drop ins and house sitting, I follow all instructions left by the owner.
“I’m using crutches at the moment and needed someone to walk my dog. This was my first time using Rover; it’s been a great experience. Cat replied to my request quickly and on short notice, which I appreciated. My rescue dog, a terrier mix, is not around other people very often, but he took to Cat immediately and returned happy each of the three days that she walked him. It’s all gone so well that I have another week of walks scheduled with Cat.”

“I highly recommend Carson to anyone looking for a dog walker. She is trustworthy, caring, dependable and genuinely kind, Carson walks my pups weekly, and I always have peace of mind knowing they are in good hands.”

“Aaron is here every day walking my Lab while I can't. He's been extremely dependable and with my current limitations that means a lot. And Lucian can't wait to go walkies.”

I’m very thorough with pet care, I double check everything I am supposed to do, and try my best to make sure animals are comfortable around me.

“Cyndi (and really her entire family) have been awesome with my two little pups. I got them as rescues so they definitely have separation anxiety when I leave the house for long periods. But I can always easily tell when Cyndi has been by, as they are noticeably calmer and happier when I come home. Highly recommended!”

Diane takes extra time to ensure Ziggy relieves himself and does an excellent job tiring him out before bringing him home. It’s clear she genuinely cares about his well-being, and her attention to detail gives me complete peace of mind. I highly recommend Diane to anyone looking for a thoughtful and dependable dog walker!”

I'm retired but would like to get outdoors more and nothing better then walking/running a furry buddy next to me. I do have a few PRIVATE customers before I became a Rover emp. So I do try and keep my calendar up to date. I have a fenced yard, dog wash bathroom in my home which leads to a dog run and dog house heated and cooled. I have a nice big backyard that can get your dog tired out!

“Brittany was absolutely amazing! Our regular sitter was not available so I happened upon Brittany and I have officially found a new dog sitter for our boy. She was so wonderful. She would constantly keep in contact and send photos. He was not eating so she was trying all new things in his food and instead of his food to get him to eat which was so sweet and wonderful of her. She would give him baths which I did not ask for but was so appreciated. I could tell that she absolutely loved him as we do. Simply outstanding and highly recommended. Definitely going to go back and have Teddy stay with Brittany again!”

“Lisa was honestly amazing. It was our first time leaving our rescue, and he had a blast with Lisa and Panda! He's a 100lb goober, but can be a handful, and Lisa made sure I never worried. We'll absolutely use her services in the future.”

“If you love your doggy, then Kaytee is hands down the best person you could entrust with that bond. My girlfriend and I went on vacation for the weekend and Kaytee took care of our baby Smokey while we were gone. She approached his care with a level of detail and attention that is seriously unrivaled and provided us updates and cute puppy photos the entire time. I would recommend Kaytee to anyone looking for a safe and loving home for their dog. Kaytee, you are so awesome and we are so thankful we had the opportunity to share our puppy with you!”
