“Grant was a great host for our two dogs - the one is particularly shy unless new people are patient and let the dog initiate first, and Grant had him interested and allowing to be petted within 10 minutes of meeting him. I can't stress enough how much that says about Grant as a safe and friendly host who truly loves and cares about animals. A few days before the boarding, Honey got a little infection and had to be put on antibiotics and anti-inflammatories and with last min notice Sheena said it would be no problem and made sure honey got her meds! About: We treat all dogs likes our own and they will be fully integrated into our family during their stay ❤️ Grew up with dogs, and fell in love with cats when I was adopted by my best friend Jimmy in 2007. Jimmy is no longer with me as he crossed the rainbow bridge in 2023 but I live with 2 (little) senior dogs, 4 cats and a toddler (and of course a husband). I am good with senior kitties/dogs and familiar with the medicine needed for high thyroid in cats I am working from home, and am pretty flexible as long as I know a little in advance. So even same day visits are possible I have a big fenced backyard and will treat your furry friend just like my own and will follow whatever directions are given to me. Our backyard offers a lot of shade for the hot Vegas months, and we have a bunch of umbrellas and plenty of water bowls. We even don’t mind if your dog wants to sleep in our bed, but follow whatever direction is given to us, as we know some prefer a crate over a bed. We have 2 water fountains and a bunch of stainless steal bowls. We have extra doggy beds, and also doggy stairs for little or older dogs.
About: From a young boy our family had pets, and I helped care for them until I was old enough to start having my own and now we have a happy family of two cats and a dog. Now we help friends and family care for their pets while they travel. I am currently semi retired so we have lots of spare time to care for your pet. As well as our kids are here as well to assist and provide a happy place for them. I have a fenced yard with real grass in the backyard. They can go in and out through the dog door we have to access that area. In your home we will come let them out and walk them frequently.

“We are so happy and fortunate to have found Vivian (and her husband Richard!) to look after Macho! They are so kind, considerate, thoughtful people and they were so loving towards Macho! At the meet/greet, they gave us a tour of their extremely clean and organized home with comfy sofas, rugs and a lot of natural sunlight (AND an outdoor fenced area for outdoor play time!), asked very detailed questions, and what we noticed the most was that they focused their attention not on me or my husband, but rather on Macho. They got on the floor to get to know Macho right away. Vivian accommadated our super early drop off requests (once again she is just so kind and considerate for helping us with this) for each day. During each day that Macho was with her, she gave us a TON of text messages with pictures and videos (loved it!). Also Vivian makes a mean and delicious cup of coffee, once again, she is just so nice! For each day, Vivian provided Macho with different activities like play time outside, short training sessions, nap time, lounge time, even help manage and watch important offfice/computer work being done by Richard. Macho always had something interesting to do. On top of dropping Macho off early, we had to pick him up on the late side which was absolutely no problem with Vivian. Macho was not overly tired after each day with Vivian and every morning looked forward to seeing them again. At the last minute towards the end of our booking, we had to ask Vivian if she could PICK UP and DROP off Macho early and late each day. And guess what, Vivian said... NO PROBLEM. So we really have nothing more to add other than stressing again that Vivian and Rich are kind and terrific people who really gave Macho so much attention and care. We are so fortunate and lucky to have met them on Rover. We will without hesitation go to Vivian to look after Macho in the future!”

I walked dogs at the NSPCA, fostered and cared for cats at Homeward Bound (PetSmart), Vets For Abandoned Pets and currently help at dog adoption events for Pawsitive Difference, occasionally fostering if I do not have a Rover dog. I am retired and enjoy taking walks, golf cart rides, watching movies and puttering around the house with a "helper" 😁. I do not seem to be able to force dogs into crates 😂 at night. I'm sorry if this is a deal breaker for you. I will text you pics of your pet (s) vacation. 🏖 In Sun City Summerlin, I have many grassy dog parks to take your leashed dog to. I don't let your dog interact with others to insure safety. I provide filtered RO water. I don't believe in overfeeding and your overweight pup may even loose a little weight in our fun, active home. It is no problem to give pills, liquid medication and eye meds as I have done this in rescue work.

I work from home now, so I am able to assist you with any kind of care your pet needs. I don’t watch cats in my home, but I absolutely will in your home. I have a decent sized yard for Las Vegas, but still enjoy regular trips to Mt. Charleston to let the pup explore on-leash. My home has a dog door, although it’s surprising how some dogs just don’t take to it (and others do, despite their size).

As well as have had a few pet training course through petsmart. We had 8 dogs and several other animals in my home growing up and I took care of most of them. I have experience with most breeds and of any size teeny to large. The most recent dog I raised was a pit bull and the dog I live with is a miniature schnauzer who also helped train my pits. I grew up in a family of animal lovers alongside my grandma, who was known as our neighborhood “Dr. Dolittle.” Over the years, our family cared for dogs of all breeds and sizes, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, turtles, tortoises, hamsters, cockatoo’s and several rescue animals that we welcomed into our home and family. Along with many years of pet-sitting experience, I’ve worked as a Pack Leader at a doggie daycare and at a veterinary clinic, giving me professional, hands-on experience caring for animals with different personalities, temperaments, ages, and needs. I also have experience caring for senior pets, rescue animals, pets with special needs, and pets who require medication or strict feeding routines. Having personally cared for dogs with conditions including pancreatitis and kidney issues, I understand firsthand how important consistency, careful feeding, medication schedules, and following a pet’s individual care plan can be. Have a detailed care routine? That’s completely okay with me! I understand those instructions are there for a reason. I’m happy to follow your pet’s established feeding, medication, walking, potty, and care routines as closely as possible. I want your pet’s day to feel familiar and comfortable even when you’re away. I also understand that every animal is different. Your energetic pup may be ready for their walk the second I arrive, while your senior dog may need a slower pace and extra patience. Your rescue may need more time to feel safe with someone new, and your cat may prefer companionship on their own terms. I meet animals where they are rather than expecting them to adjust to me. I’m also an Intuitive Animal Communicator, which is another meaningful part of the work I do with animals. My Rover services remain focused on loving, reliable pet care, but my connection with animals extends beyond traditional pet sitting and dog walking. Most importantly, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. You want someone who will show up, follow your instructions, pay attention to the little things, communicate with you, and treat your pet like family. That’s the kind of care I strive to provide. Whether I’m stopping by for a drop-in visit, taking your dog for a walk, or staying with your pets while you’re away, I’ll give them the attention, affection, exercise, playtime, enrichment, or quiet companionship that fits their needs. And you won’t be left wondering how they’re doing! I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is being loved and well cared for. At the end of the day, I understand that you’re not just trusting me with a pet. You’re trusting me with a member of your family ~ and, when applicable, your home. I take that responsibility seriously, and my goal is for both you and your furbaby to feel comfortable, safe, and cared for from the moment you book with me. I work remotely from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule for pet care! I can accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting throughout the week depending on availability. I know pets thrive on consistency, so whenever possible, I’ll work with you to maintain your furbaby’s normal schedule and routine~whether that means a morning walk, lunchtime potty break, afternoon playtime, dinner at a specific time, or some extra companionship while you’re away. I provide care for your furbabies in the comfort of their own home and familiar environment. I love this because it allows your pet to stay where they already feel safe and comfortable while maintaining their normal routine. I’ll carefully follow the instructions you provide for feeding, medications, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and household routines. I also respect that you’re trusting me not only with your pet, but with your home, and I take both responsibilities seriously. My goal is to keep things as familiar and stress-free as possible so you can come home to a happy pet who has been safe, loved, and well cared for while you were away.

“Overall super pawsitive experience! Honey and Buzz had fun. A few days before the boarding, Honey got a little infection and had to be put on antibiotics and anti-inflammatories and with last min notice Sheena said it would be no problem and made sure honey got her meds! Sheena also does have grooming packages if you want your little to be nice a fresh when you bring them home! Love it!”
