Looked up a few people but was looking for someone that lived close to me as well. Didn’t want them driving an hour back and forth. Found Nina was only 1/2 mile from me. About: I’ve had a dog(or multiple) in my house since I was 6 years old. From the start I treated them with kindness and patience. Especially since I had a gentle giant of a dog. I did start taking care of my dogs when I was 12 years old though and it was exhausting but so worth it. I’ve seen my dogs grow up for 10 years and they’re still wild as puppies. I give my current dogs various medications and have special diets. I just got a puppy so that’s been a good challenge. I am currently potty training, deterring unwanted habits, playing for hours a day, and watching her so closely. I love all pets though, I just have more experience with dogs, and quick at adapting to special needs and dogs with boundaries. I am available any weekday, and am able to have a free weekend. I take turns with my mom watching our rescue puppy but she is mostly guaranteed to be home or able to take her on car rides if I need to be somewhere else. I also have a reliable car I cannot care for your pets at my home, we have 3 dogs and only one gets very unhappy with other dogs so it’s best not to overwhelm him. However! I can and will respect your home or living space if you’ll allow me, I don’t need much, just the supplies needed to care for your pet and some space to occupy myself(if pet sitting). I care for my current pets by paying attention to what they’re trying to communicate, whether they need to go outside, play, eat, or get comfy. I walk my dogs very carefully, not pulling on the leash too hard but establishing some control if necessary.

About: I've had dogs for over 20 years but began fostering dogs about 6 years ago. I have fostered with the NSPCA and other organizations both here in Las Vegas and in California. He usually barks at me in anger after I get home from leaving him for a few hours, but when I picked him up from Hyukseon and Jean's home he was happy to see me but didn't bark at all! They sent me videos throughout the day and had another small dog for him to play with. A very good experience overall, and I will use them again when I'm in the area.”

About: I have 30 years of experience with dogs and cats as an owner, sitter, and dog walker. I also have experience with puppies, high energy dogs, elderly & special needs pets that need care, medications, or injections. I am available weekdays and weekends to provide pet sitting and dog walking. I prefer to only walk dogs during daylight hours. If you need walks before sunrise or after sunset I will do this in a case by case basis if it is safe for me and your dog. Please be aware that I am self-employed and may also have other pet check-ins, dinner-sits, or walks during day. I will not leave your pet alone for more than 4-5 hours or agreed upon hours during the day. If you do need 24 hr care I can provide that at twice my overnight rate. Advanced notice is required so that I can make arrangements to my schedule. I am very responsible when pet sitting and I will follow all of your instructions and respect your property when caring for your pet in your home. **California state law mandates rabies vaccinations for all dogs age 4 months or older. Monterey County requires rabies vaccinations for all dogs and cats age 4 months or older. Monterey County also requires all dogs must be licensed within 30 days of ownership unless you are traveler visiting. Please make sure that you provide these documents to me before your sit begins or I will cancel the sit and will apply the Rover cancellation policy. I do not use retractable leashes for dog walking for my safety and for your pet. I do have appropriate leashes for walking if you do not have one. For overnight sits please make sure that you provide a clean and comfortable environment and for me to stay. Including a clean and dust free sleeping area, clean bathroom & clean kitchen or food prep area. I will bring my own food and towels so there is no need to provide that. I will clean up after myself and your pet during my stay, but I will not do any major housecleaning. If your home is not clean enough for me to stay I will contact Rover for other arrangements for your pet. I can also do reasonable watering of indoor and outdoor plants.

About: I’ve always loved animals! I’ve consistently taken care of cats for 30 years. I grew up with a few dogs but they have passed. I was able to take care of them as they were older so I do have experience with senior dogs with special needs. I am kind and gentle and will love your fur/furless baby like it is my own!!
