In the past we have used a great local kennel but due to concerns about the horrible canine virus circulating in several states last year we decided to try something different this trip. We paid a little more than we normally would have, but our dogs were less stressed due to the calmer environment (no other dogs, did not have to be crated at night) and the loving attention provided by Mark. Mark was great at sending daily updates and pics via messaging throughout the stay so that we could see how our pups were doing. I’m sure Mark stays pretty booked due to his loving care but we would definitely consider using his service again for futures needs, assuming he is available.”
“Apollo can be a handful with his anxiety and reactivity, and Bri handled it beautifully. They had a rocky first night, because he kept barking at every small noise. After several hours of this, he had her a bit worried about whether or not she could get him to settle down and sleep. But she stuck with it and got him to calm down and pass out. From there the visit went great. She followed our feeding and medication instructions exactly, worked on some training with him during his stay, and did a nice job with redirecting his attention when he got reactive on walks. Communication was excellent throughout. I received regular photos and updates, and she flagged any concerns as they came up rather than letting them sit. The best sign of how the weekend went: at pickup, Apollo planted himself on and between her feet multiple times while we were talking about how the weekend went. He clearly trusts and adores her, which can be difficult given his anxiety. We'll absolutely be booking with her again!”

About: After one overnight house sitting or seven days of watching your cat(s) I will illustrate them for free! I grew up with two kitties, Velma and Daphne (yes like Scooby Doo!). I was Velma's preferred human, she could cuddle up with me during homework and chose to sunbathe in my bedroom. When I left for college my mom would send me pictures of her cuddled up on my pillow. As an adult I have a high energy kitty named Pearl. I play with her 5x a day for 30 minutes each, and we have been working on clicker training. I know dog body language from my years of boarding, so I can spot stress or overstimulation before it becomes an issue. If any pup needs a break, I have quiet spaces set up for alone time. I also require updated vaccines and am comfortable giving oral medications if needed. With two friendly resident dogs, I carefully manage introductions and group play to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable.

About: I have past experience in administering medicine including insulin and pills, as well as cleaning litter boxes, picking up dog poop, and feeding bearded dragons. I'm a college student working at a restaurant, but I am available throughout the day between school and work, and at nights. Overall pet sitting fits into my schedule just as well as any average person. I have a cat in my home who is vaccinated and well cared for, so if a pet is coming to my home it must be OK around cats, my cat is also used to dogs and other animals, although I would prefer to watch animals at their house. I care for them by feeding them according to their schedule, always providing fresh water, and taking them on any necessary walks, or runs, and of course cleaning up the poop or puke that occurs.

About: I’ve taken care of animals for about 3 years now. I regularly house sit for about 4 families. I am very patient and caring, and treat every animal as if they were my own. I have sat everything from seniors, to babies, and everything in between. Hyper, low energy, high maintenance, low maintenance, all of it. Special medical needs? I’m your girl. I’ve got the patience and gentle hands for it. I have work in the morning from 7:15-2, so I would need to leave them alone for a while for work, about 6 hours. I also tend to go out with my friends or my mom, but I can come home and relieve them. You need help, I got your fur baby covered. I have established safety protocols for all animals in my car, including but not limited to fenced in yards, puppy proofing living spaces, and creating calming no trap zones for animals. Because I know how stressed they can be coming into a new space. For cats I have invested in feliway to calm nerves and anxiety, and for dogs I have lavender diffuser for calming as well as ample play time.
