“We were visiting Santa Fe and needed a sitter for our basset boy Sam so we could spend a day at the spa and visit a national park. The moment I saw Victoria’s profile, I knew she was the one. When I reached out with the request she responded quickly and was happy to take Sam for the day. As soon as we arrived for the drop off, we knew we had lucked out. Victoria’s home is beautiful, in a quiet, scenic location, and clearly designed with animals in mind while staying artistic and clean. About: I've had dogs and taken care of them since I was a young child. As an adult I’ve fostered dogs for over 5 years, taking care of all types of dogs. I have experience potty training, house breaking, bathing, and more. The dogs I have fostered came from all sorts of backgrounds; homeless, abusive households, neglected, seniors, disabled (blind, deaf, hard of hearing, missing limbs). I enjoy spending time with all animals and animals like to be around me. Currently working on my dog trainer certification I have a flexible schedule since I work from home most of the time. On the weekends when the weather is nice we like to go for short hikes. Unfortunately I sustained a bad fall in 2024 and broke my back; so I am unable to care for any pet over 50lbs or any pet that is leash reactive or pulls on a leash. Since that would aggravate the injury and most definetely stop me from caring for pets all together; I hope you can understand! I have a small backyard where we go play fetch, we also love going to Frenchy’s or many of the other parks in the area for walks and off leash play when the weather is nice. As of this summer, I have graduated with a Bachelors in Biology from UC Santa Cruz, where I worked within two different labs focused on invertebrate and fish research and husbandry tasks, as well as a front desk admin and floor manager at the Seymour Marine Discovery Center. I currently work as a contract field scientist with the Bureau of Land Management, based in Santa Fe. I have a clean driving record and my own vehicle, and am flexible for overnights and check-ins, though do reach out to me to confirm my availability. I am currently employed full-time with a nontraditional schedule, and will communicate with you on times I may need to be out of the house for work. I will go over with you a detailed questionnaire to determine all aspects of your pet's care and schedule, and send update messages at least once a day.
About: Upon having taken care of pets for quite some time now. I have learned that all animals need love and compassion like us. I have cared for a variety of animals from mice to snakes and cats to goats. All of the time learning what to do and not to do with every animal. I've always had animals in my life ever since I was a little girl and I loved to caring for them. I was a foster parent for cats a few years back but had to stop when we moved. About: Just an FYI we can only sit for dogs that are 30 lbs or smaller, due to HOA rules in our condo complex. I have had and cared for a dog most of my life. I have never been dog sitting on Rover for a couple of years now, and have enjoyed it immensely. I love having dogs around. I am a stay at home mom, who is home a majority of the day. Russell, my husband, would also be caring for your dog, and he's great with dogs. We would love to have your pup over for a visit, while you are out of town. Unfortunately, our Charlie dog passed away last May. He was 11/12 years old. I am a stay at home mom, with a bookkeeping freelance business, so I am home most of the day. When I do work, my husband is usually home, except on Tuesdays. I have a 4 year old also, so I do have to take him and pick him up from preschool. We live in an apartment. We go outside often, and have no problems take dogs out. Our apartment is clean and tidy. I am good at following directions that may be given to care for you pup.

About: I grew up around lots of animals (cats, dogs, chickens, goats, reptiles), and I now have a lovely cat of my own named Julian. I absolutely love getting to spend time with other people’s pets. At this point in my life, I’d say I’m very much both a dog-person and a cat-person. I go on walks every day before or after work, and during my lunch break. Walking a dog would fit naturally into that routine. I’m willing to wake up early in the morning if needed, and if the client lives in Santa Fe, I would have the capacity to visit the dog or cat during my midday break from work as well. If the client lives outside of Santa Fe, I’m still available every evening for walks, feeding, and giving the dog/cat attention and human contact. I’m typically able to stay overnight at a client’s home any night of the week if needed. I treat pets with care, respect, and attentiveness.
