About: Hello! I have been a dog owner and have kept aquariums both as a hobby and professionally for 10+ years. I have over 425 volunteer hours logged combined as an aquarist with the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and with the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter. As a personal assistant, baby sitter and dog sitter, I am professional, detail-oriented, friendly and motivated to engage with your pets and give the highest quality care I can. As of this summer, I have graduated with a Bachelors in Biology from UC Santa Cruz, where I worked within two different labs focused on invertebrate and fish research and husbandry tasks, as well as a front desk admin and floor manager at the Seymour Marine Discovery Center. I currently work as a contract field scientist with the Bureau of Land Management, based in Santa Fe. I have a clean driving record and my own vehicle, and am flexible for overnights and check-ins, though do reach out to me to confirm my availability. I am currently employed full-time with a nontraditional schedule, and will communicate with you on times I may need to be out of the house for work. I will go over with you a detailed questionnaire to determine all aspects of your pet's care and schedule, and send update messages at least once a day.

“Angel did a great job. She was on time for visits, sent lots of photos and contacted me when necessary for questions. Through her communication she put my mind at ease that my kitties were being well cared for. I will use her again.”

About: I’m a lifelong animal caregiver with experience in wildlife rehabilitation, shelter volunteering, and years of caring for pets of all ages and personalities. My goal is to make your life easier and keep your pets comfortable, happy, and well‑cared‑for at home.

About: I have taken care of cats all my life. I owe 3 boy cats & have been a foster parent to cats through Feline and friends! Friends have relied on me to check in on their fur babies and I would like to be able to do the same.

About: I am an absolute cat person and I've been taken care of my in-law's cats and convinced my husband 3 years ago to adopt our own furr-babies. I will take care of your little ones as if they were mine. It is important that they are taken care of but it is also important that they don't feel lonely or left out. I will go the extra mile and spend time with them. Gaining their trust to get affection from them or play with them is key. I am happy to spend extra time with them with no extra charges. Cats affections are the reward!

“Our dog had great fun playing with the dogs at the sitter 😁. Laurie took them on a hike one day and our dog had a great time and was nice and tired out for a calm evening 😊. Lily was very excited to go back for her second day! You should be forewarned that her house is down a dirt road with ups and downs. Would definitely recommend this sitter for a social and energetic dog”

“Abby had a great time with Eliza and Alejandro and came home tuckered after plenty of walks and cuddles. I have them booked again for two different days next week also. I appreciated the photo updates. THANKS!!”
“Stephanie was great with our pup. He was happy and calm when we picked him up. Her place is really well suited to dogs with a great yard and cool comfy beds indoors to escape the heat. We would definitely use her again.”

“Kendell is excellent! We were worried about finding a sitter during a road trip, and we are lucky that Kendell was available to sit Bella for a couple of hours! She is very attentive and took good care of Bella, and even left us a summary of the walks she took her on and how Bella did with her dinner. We are extremely grateful!”

“My Chiweenie Bug practically jumps out of the window when we turn onto Melissa's street. Her 3 dogs are the cutest and took to my dog immediately. He comes home happy and tired, what more can you ask for? And she even gave me a recipe for the food she makes for her dogs, and Bug looooves it.”

“Michelle was great with Chili! Chili had a great time playing with her pups! Michelle communicated well and was very responsive and accommodating! Would highly recommend!”

We also have a large dog crate if your pet is kennel trained.

“Chloe did an excellent job taking care of my dog, Zoey. They went on several walks, and Zoey came home happy and tired each day. Chloe had great communication throughout and was a huge help during our visit to Santa Fe. I highly recommend her!”

About: Pets growing up were 3 dogs Lacy, Maya and Frodo as well as many kitties. Oso was my Cat, we had him from the time I was 4-14years old. We also had a chicken coop we were responsible for, horses that were our landlords but that we fed, and a fish tank with guppies and sucker fish. My 1st gig watching someone else’s pet, was for an elderly woman at my church when I was about 12. Milo was an older, golden retriever. I walked him, cleaned his outside restroom area, fed, bathed, and blow-dryed him. Family and friends have always reached out to me for help over the years, I have cared for all pets. Rottweilers, pit bulls, huskies, small dogs, handicap animals, both cats and dogs. I am great with communicating and accustomed to following the routines their owners have set for them as I believe that is most respectful. My schedule is either 8am-1pm or 2-8pm. I have a 1hour lunch and am home otherwise. I usually have 2 days off a week so will also be home on those days. I have stone floors, no carpet, and live in a non-smoking apartment. I have a small backyard with dirt area and kennel where they usually take small potty breaks aside from walks and dog parks!
“Anaissa is a true dog person and was an excellent sitter for our dog. We’re on an extended road trip and our dog has been feeling a bit stressed. Anaissa wasn’t phased and introduced our dog to others slowly. She kept us updated throughout the day, and we picked up a tired and happy pup. I highly recommend her!”

While I do live in an apartment, there is a park with walking trails right across the street that I walk daily. Staying active is an essential part of my life!
“Lana is great! Very communicative. Keeps me super up to date. Really goes above and beyond when trying to form a bond with a dog. My dog can be a stubborn and shy girl when it comes to new people, and Lana has really taken the time to let my dog get to know her with a great deal of patience.”

“Angel takes such great care of our pup! She’s quick to respond and flexible with our schedule. Can tell from the pictures she sends that our dog is happy and enjoys walks with Angel.”

“Eliza was wonderful with our pets! She gave us daily updates and photos, and was very easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. She was even willing to stop before the booking began to make sure that she would be a good fit for us and my pup. We will definitely be booking with her again.”

I am not afraid of large breeds and physically capable of walking large dog.

“Getting care for my dogs is usually the most stressful and expensive part of my vacation, but with Lauren it was neither. My dogs love her and didn't tackle me with desperation when I returned. I feel like I get more than I pay for when I book Lauren to walk or watch them, which is so great that I might actually get out of town a little more often now. She's very friendly and personable to people, too! Most importantly, she's extremely reliable. She's very upfront about any potential scheduling conflicts. I get the impression she's the kind of person to under-promise and over-deliver so that there's little chance of miscommunication when it comes to four-legged family. We only had time to meet her once before I left town on a short trip, but I felt totally comfortable leaving her the keys to my home. AND she's a lifesaver. My flight home was delayed indefinitely and she responded asap from work to let me know she'd be able to add an additional walk that night. It was a priceless feeling to not have to worry about my dogs while I was trapped in an airport out of state. If you have the chance to book her before her schedule starts to fill up with regulars, do it!”

I have never been dog sitting on Rover for a couple of years now, and have enjoyed it immensely. I love having dogs around. I am a stay at home mom, who is home a majority of the day. Russell, my husband, would also be caring for your dog, and he's great with dogs. We would love to have your pup over for a visit, while you are out of town. If you have any question, please feel free to ask. I do have a 4 year old son. He is great with dogs/pets. He used to dogs being around. We had a dog for his whole life. Unfortunately, our Charlie dog passed away last May. He was 11/12 years old. I am a stay at home mom, with a bookkeeping freelance business, so I am home most of the day. When I do work, my husband is usually home, except on Tuesdays. I have a 4 year old also, so I do have to take him and pick him up from preschool. We live in an apartment. We go outside often, and have no problems take dogs out. Our apartment is clean and tidy. I am good at following directions that may be given to care for you pup.
About: Upon having taken care of pets for quite some time now. I have learned that all animals need love and compassion like us. I have cared for a variety of animals from mice to snakes and cats to goats. All of the time learning what to do and not to do with every animal. I've always had animals in my life ever since I was a little girl and I loved to caring for them. I was a foster parent for cats a few years back but had to stop when we moved. I've own a few dogs and enjoy the company they have to give to us. I would be more than happy to take care of your babies and treat them as my own.

About: I offer thoughtful, detail oriented pet care with a strong focus on consistency, safety, and communication. I’m comfortable caring for senior pets, managing routines, and providing a calm presence for animals that may be anxious or sensitive to change. I am also comfortable with medication management. I take the responsibility of being in someone’s home seriously and aim to create a seamless experience both for pets and their owners. You can expect clear communication, reliability, and a high level of respect for your space. My dog, Tessie, is so important to me so I treat your pets with as much love and care that I would want her to have. My work experience includes firefighter/paramedic, ER nurse, clinic work, and am certified in Pet First Aid. I am the Clinical Director at a local free clinic. This allows me to have flexible but predictable hours each week. Because of this I can provide consistent, punctual visits with compassionate care for your pets. For house sitting I can make mid day visits so that your pets are not alone for longer than needed. I cater each experience to the needs of you and your pet. I prefer to have clear communication of your preferences so that I can ensure that you are as happy with the visit as your pets are. For house sitting, I stay in the home so pets can remain in their familiar space with minimal disruption. I follow their usual feeding, walking, and medication schedules, provide companionship throughout the day and evening, and ensure the home is cared for as well (lights, plants, mail, basic tidiness). My goal is to maintain a calm, consistent presence so pets feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away. For in home drop-ins, I provide feeding, fresh water, litter box or yard clean up, medications if needed, and quality time with each pet. I tailor each visit to the pet’s energy level and personality including playtime, short walks, or quiet companionship. I also provide updates after each visit so owners feel connected and reassured. For dog walking, I focus on safe, structured walks that match your dog’s pace and needs. I prioritize leash safety, positive reinforcement, and a calm walking experience. Walks can include neighborhood routes or familiar areas your dog enjoys, or local dog parks, and I always ensure they return home settled, hydrated, and comfortable.

About: I’ve been a dog owner for over 10 years and have experience caring for both small and large breeds. I grew up with a dachshund and now have a Bernedoodle, so I’m comfortable with everything from little lap dogs to energetic, larger pups. I know that every dog has their own personality and routine, and I always do my best to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or just hanging out on the couch, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at. I’ll care for your pet like they’re one of my own and keep you updated with photos and messages along the way! I provide attentive, reliable pet care tailored to each dog's individual needs. Services include walks, playtime, feeding, fresh water, administering basic medications if needed, potty breaks, companionship, and plenty of love and attention. I enjoy keeping dogs active through outdoor play, neighborhood walks, and enrichment activities while also respecting the routines and preferences that help them feel comfortable. My home has a secure fenced backyard where dogs can safely run, explore, and burn off energy under supervision. I've been a dog owner for over 10 years and have experience caring for both small and large breeds. I previously owned a Dachshund and currently have a friendly Bernedoodle, giving me firsthand experience with different personalities, energy levels, and care requirements. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I've spent years looking after pets for family and friends, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I understand the importance of clear communication, consistency, and treating every pet like a member of the family. I work from home, which allows me to spend the majority of the day with the pets in my care. This means they'll receive frequent potty breaks, regular exercise, lots of attention, and very little time left alone. My flexible schedule allows me to stick to your pet's normal routine as closely as possible, helping them feel comfortable, secure, and happy while you're away. I believe every pet deserves patience, affection, and dependable care, and I strive to make them feel like part of my own family from the moment they arrive. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor play and will always follow your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, and any special instructions. Whether we’re playing, walking, or relaxing at home, I’ll treat your dog like one of my own and keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages while you’re away.
