About: I grew up around lots of animals (cats, dogs, chickens, goats, reptiles), and I now have a lovely cat of my own named Julian. I absolutely love getting to spend time with other people’s pets. At this point in my life, I’d say I’m very much both a dog-person and a cat-person. I go on walks every day before or after work, and during my lunch break. Walking a dog would fit naturally into that routine. I’m willing to wake up early in the morning if needed, and if the client lives in Santa Fe, I would have the capacity to visit the dog or cat during my midday break from work as well. If the client lives outside of Santa Fe, I’m still available every evening for walks, feeding, and giving the dog/cat attention and human contact. I’m typically able to stay overnight at a client’s home any night of the week if needed. I treat pets with care, respect, and attentiveness. I’m a clean and tidy houseguest, and will respect the client’s privacy and boundaries. Whether you need me to take your dog for a walk, stop by once or twice a day to feed your cat, or stay overnight to keep your pet(s) company, I will be professional, responsible, and caring towards your pets. Though it turned out my Mom was severely allergic, we made some adjustments around the ranch so that we could still keep them and take care of them. At one time we even had 35 cats! My husband and his family also have cats, and I would be more than happy to pop in/check in on your furry friend. Though I’m allergic and can’t keep them overnight, I’ll be happy to check in on them as much as you need! I’ll be happy to send photos and updates as well. “We were visiting Santa Fe and needed a sitter for our basset boy Sam so we could spend a day at the spa and visit a national park. The moment I saw Victoria’s profile, I knew she was the one. When I reached out with the request she responded quickly and was happy to take Sam for the day. As soon as we arrived for the drop off, we knew we had lucked out. Victoria’s home is beautiful, in a quiet, scenic location, and clearly designed with animals in mind while staying artistic and clean. She has three friendly dogs, cats, chickens, and turkeys, which Sam loved. Victoria herself was warm and genuinely excited to meet him. We left Sam for 7 hours, and she took wonderful care of him, even walking him down the arroyo to help with his separation anxiety. When we picked him up, he was happy and relaxed with his tail wagging. This was our first time using Rover, and we found the perfect sitter on the first try. “I left my 70 lb American Bulldog with Michelle for about 4 hours while I visited Bandelier National Monument where dogs are not allowed. She took great care of Venus. I was worried because she has a small dog and there was an incident with my dog where a small dog went after Venus and she responded in turn, causing some injury. But Michelle introduced them slowly and they ended up playing together - now I know it is not small dogs that are the problem but aggressive dogs that make her feel like she is under attack and needs to defend herself.”

About: Pets growing up were 3 dogs Lacy, Maya and Frodo as well as many kitties. Oso was my Cat, we had him from the time I was 4-14years old. We also had a chicken coop we were responsible for, horses that were our landlords but that we fed, and a fish tank with guppies and sucker fish. My 1st gig watching someone else’s pet, was for an elderly woman at my church when I was about 12. Milo was an older, golden retriever. I walked him, cleaned his outside restroom area, fed, bathed, and blow-dryed him. Family and friends have always reached out to me for help over the years, I have cared for all pets. Rottweilers, pit bulls, huskies, small dogs, handicap animals, both cats and dogs. I am great with communicating and accustomed to following the routines their owners have set for them as I believe that is most respectful. My schedule is either 8am-1pm or 2-8pm. I have a 1hour lunch and am home otherwise. I usually have 2 days off a week so will also be home on those days. I have stone floors, no carpet, and live in a non-smoking apartment. I have a small backyard with dirt area and kennel where they usually take small potty breaks aside from walks and dog parks!
