“This is the 4th time I’ve left my dogs with Bonnie. She goes out of her way to spoil them with food and love. She makes them chicken without my asking and they devour it. She puts a special blanket on their favorite chair where they look out the window. She sent the cutest photos. I’m so happy to be able to rely on her to take good care of my dogs.”

“Cecilia is a wonderful caretaker for my dog Baldr, I have left him with her twice. She is very communicative and kind and I feel comfortable leaving my beloved older dog with her.”

“Jamie and Patrick were awesome. Easy to communicate with and very responsive. This was my dogs first stay away from us and they were understanding of that. Trustworthy, friendly and caring. I would definitely use them again.”

“Celine was wonderful with our dog. She kept us updated on her stay as well as pictures every day. She’s really great with older dogs and let us know that our dogs interesting quarks follow her to her sitters. We rate Celine as a five star because of her flexibility as well as willingness to work with our dogs schedule. We will be rebooking with Celine for future stays!”

“Mike is an incredible Rover and I would highly recommend him for any type of dog. Beaux had such a great time and I can’t thank you enough for watching him”

“Coco loves staying with Maellen and her family! I love that I receive photos and videos, but can stay worry free while I am away. Thank you for taking such good care of Coco.”

“My pup had a great time with Josie, her husband and especially their dog Paco. I got daily pictures and updates so that I never had to worry 🥰 Our dog needs daily medicine and they had no problem making sure she got it, they were even able to get around her pill defenses by putting it in cream cheese (a new trick I'm definitely adopting)! I was especially happy to hear how well our dogs got along and that lots of play and tug of war sessions were had 😄 Pepper was treated like family and we'll absolutely rebook next time we have to go away.”

“My biggest grudge is when someone expresses when they only gave one star " cuz they couldn't give any less"... When do we support local business and recognize our community for the good that surrounds us? !!! Recognize beauty people!!!!! This man is the real thing; a dog whisperer through and through. Incredibly kind, greeting my pup with a treat at first meet. Communication is HUGE for me. Pics were shared - almost immediately - and direct messages were alleviating. We all want to know our loved ones are in the best care. Michael is communicative, engaging with the guests, and truly, one of a kind. I'd book him immediately, if he doesn't forget my little girl...”

“Thomas and Matthew were excellent. They took such good care of my boy. They also sent me pictures while I was out of town and kept me updated. I had peace of mind the whole time.”

“Pat fell in love with Ripley and he fell in love with her. He adapted well and Pat made sure he felt welcome. She even put together a Christmas stocking for him! All in all, a wonderful visit....I'd leave him with Pat again in a minute!”
“Liz was absolutely amazing with Muppet! Great communication and flexibility. She sent us daily messages with updates about Muppet's day, and lots of pictures. Liz was very professional, friendly, and loving with Muppet. Thank you so much, Liz!”

“We boarded our older boy with Brian & Jerri for 11 nights. He has special needs so he requires special food and daily meds. They were kind enough to agree to accommodate him. We cannot thank them enough for taking such good care of him in our absence.”

“Joshua is great. He's a natural with dogs, and it's obvious he loves them! I HIGHLY recommend Joshua and his home for extended boarding. He has a very large yard for play, and the dogs love it! I travel a lot, and I will be using Joshua every time. My puppy, Mocha, made a new friend with Joshua's dog, Blitzen. Immediately, they became friends and were inseparable for seven days. Thank you, Joshua!!! My wife and I are very grateful for the care you gave Mocha!!!”

“Savannah did an excellent job with Quantum. She spoiled him with treats and walks and we got daily photos and updates. It was great being able to know he was happy and safe while we were away.”

“Doug was very easy to communicate with and took great care of my two pups while I was on a quick over-nighter out of town. Will definitely use again for any future dog-care needs while traveling!”

“Chad provides a safe environment! My dog got along with his dog right away, which doesn’t always happen. The dogs have a great big backyard to play in, they don’t go for walks normally. Mentioning because if you want that you need to talk to Chad to arrange it. Chad agreed not to crate my dog which is good because he hasn’t been in a crate in years, and Max seems in good health when I picked him up, moved pretty good for a senior dog.”

“Brandi was wonderful with our pup. Extremely responsive, provided updates, helped work on his high high energy, and conscientious. Will definitely continue to book with her!”

“Cindy is awesome! The added plus is Dasha! Both took care of our Gin so well! Gin had a blast! Cindy ensures everything is covered and communicates often with pictures and videos. We just wished we could take Dasha back home with us. Thank you Cindy for taking such good care of our Gin!”

“Alexandria always does such a great job watching my kitty 🥰 She makes sure to play with her and give her lots of attention. Thank you for your wonderful service!!”

“Lauren did an amazing job watching my two kitties, Sushi and Miso! Miso is a bit of a shy guy but I knew she did great when she mentioned he began to warm up to her :) I would highly recommend Lauren to anyone looking for a pet sitter, very communicative throughout my trip and very sweet with them both! Thank you again Lauren!”

“Leah worked with us on a last minute request to drop in on our cat during thanksgiving week. She went above and beyond to make sure Tofu was well taken care of. I would recommend her services any day. Thank you!!”

“My cat storm seemed at home right away with Tabitha. And I can tell he is doing OK afterwards because he did not pull all of his hair out which he does when stressed. He walked around like he owned the place which was lovely.”

“This is the third time we have enlisted and entrusted CJ to care for our Blue Heller, Banjo. She does an excellent job of providing great care, sending photos during her in-home visit, and communicating with us while we're away. Having CJ drop in to check on Banjo and keep him active gives us definite peace of mind when we have to leave our sweet boy home for a few days. Would highly recommend CJ's Rover services.”

“Amber really helped me out when my usual pet sitter was out of town over the holidays and she was amazing! She took great care of my cat Xena and was very attentive to her diet and exercise. She even took her for a walk outside on her harness. I appreciate her being able to come by a little last minute, and would love to work with her again in the future! Thank you Amber!”

“Jennifer is dependable, reliable, and professional. Felix really likes her and she is good with him and to him. Jennifer left our home neat and cleaned up (cat dishes, litter box etc) and followed all instructions. I highly recommend Jennifer and Felix will see her again, I am am sure! Thank you Jennifer!!”

“Brigit was so helpful taking care of my cats on short notice and getting my spare key back to me quickly. My cats were well fed, and she sent me pictures daily, I would highly recommend her!”

“Rachel was a terrific supporter while I was away! Her notes and photos gave me great peace of mind. I'm looking forward to asking for her help again, and I would recommend her to a friend.”

“Highly, highly recommend! Denise is a caring animal lover with heaps of experience from all her work at the animal humane. My rescue felt comfortable with her very quickly and was well cared for during the week+ that I was away. On top of that, my house was in great condition when I got back. Thanks, Denise, for the daily photos, clear communication, and for being so great at what you do!”

“It was a pleasure working with Amanda. She was here when she said she would be. Very prompt which was important due to the fact that our cat Speedy needs his meds at the same time each day. She cleaned up after feedings of wet food and sent pix of our boys, which was really nice to receive. I would recommend Amanda to friends and family. Thank you Amanda! ;o)”

About: I have loved cats since my childhood and have several of my own. I have cared for cats of all ages and sizes, the youngest being 2 weeks old and the oldest being 23 years old. I am a veterinary assistant and am comfortable with responsibilities such as administering medications, special diets, sub-q fluids, etc.
“Jessica was a great cat sitter! All instructions were followed and she was great at communicating. Skittles seemed very happy upon my return! I would book with her again.”

“As always, I had a wonderful experience with Celine. She was professional, caring, and attentive to my pet’s needs. I appreciated her regular updates. My cats were happy and relaxed upon my return. I highly recommend her”

About: I dated someone for a year with cats and absolutely fell in love with the cats and not so much the partner 😂 would love to have more cats in my life
About: **Dogs** I had my best friend Nila, a Jack Russell Terrier, for 17 loving years. Caring for Nila was the biggest joy in my life, and now I'd like to share that joy with other pets! Things that I learned along the way include positive reinforcement training, leash manners, socialization, grooming, and medication administration: - Positive Reinforcement Training: Jack Russell Terriers are very smart and high-energy. Nila thrived with positive reinforcement training and enjoyed learning many useful commands. She loved playing on playgrounds at the park as make-shift agility courses, and continued to eagerly learn new tricks throughout her life. I'm happy to work together to keep your training consistent- even when you have to be away. Maintaining their familiar structure keeps the training active, reduces your pet's stress, and even helps them learn new tricks more quickly! - Leash Training: Nila loved both short and long walks, both in new places and in her familiar neighborhood. Her leash manners and experience in various terrains made our walks more fun. Being trained to focus on my direction and guidance, she knew was safe with me. Feeling safe helps pets focus on the best part of their walk- the smells! If you need help with leash manners or just want to maintain your current leash training, I'd love to help you guide your pup. - Socialization: Due to constant adventuring, Nila loved other dogs, loved people, and respected cats and their claws! I enjoy paying special attention to the communication of beloved seniors and adult dogs. Learning the unique language of each pet is important to me so that I can anticipate their needs and ensure they are comfortable. This keeps them safe and happy and helps prevent mishaps. If socialization is important to you, I am confident I can safely and slowly introduce new experiences to your pet. - Grooming: Nila enjoyed her "spa days": a bath in the tub, drying off with a towel, being brushed, having her teeth brushed, and her nails clipped. I am experienced in helping dogs become acclimated to being handled and groomed. If your dog has grooming needs such as being brushed often, I'm happy to help! - Medication Administration: In our last years together, from 2021 to 2023, Nila took medications and supplements for her arthritis on a schedule. Over time my experience includes: pill tablets, liquid via an oral syringe, powder from capsules mixed into food, and treats. I do not have experience with injectable medications, but am happy to learn. **Cats** I recently cared for an 11yr old senior cat, Rosie. I enjoyed her company for a year before she found her furever home. Rosie is a complete sweetheart and I realized that although I've always considered myself a "dog person"- I *adore* cats. I just needed to learn more about them. By paying close attention, I found ways to improve Rosie's quality of life. When she arrived she had mats in her fur. After consulting the vet, she now takes Cosequin supplements and is able to groom herself more appropriately. Also, her original litter box was not working well for her. After observation, I realized she urinates while standing- so her litter box experience (and mine) improved when I incorporated a larger, taller litter box. Rosie taught me about litter box training, adventure training (in a halter and leash), playtime, feeding, body language, and grooming. I feel confident in: - Keeping your kitty happy and healthy with a clean litter box - Being mindful and fastidious about safety when it comes to any outside time, adventuring, or playtime - Consistency with feeding and following care instructions - Respecting your cat's body language and communication around being handled, approached, or groomed so they will feel safe with me - Keeping track of how a kitty is particular and their consistent schedule I am self-employed and work remotely from home, so my schedule is flexible. I'm naturally more active in the afternoons and evenings. If requesting dog walking after sunset, let’s discuss safety first due to darkness. **Covid safety** - I am Covid-conscious and will be wearing a fit-tested N95 or elastomeric respirator in all interactions with you and in your home. Due to this, overnight pet sitting will require health and safety discussions as part of the booking process - Please inform me in advance if you or anyone in your home is feeling under the weather so we can reschedule, as I am immunocompromised - Before entering my home, I will provide an N95 for you to wear at the door **Pet sitting in my home** - I cannot pet sit at my home at this time. My roommates have a dog and 2 cats, so it is a full house here! - Pets are allowed on furniture if you're okay with it! I love cuddles with furry friends **Drop-in visits in your home** - Please inform me of any concerns for your pet in your home or in your neighborhood. For example: is there is a dog in a yard on your typical walking route that causes anxiety for your pet I should avoid? Or a door to a particular room that I need to be sure is always shut completely? **Dog walking** - I accept only one client at a time for dog walks to be sure they are receiving my undivided attention. If you have multiple dogs, let’s chat first to see if we are a good match - I can walk small to medium-sized dogs. I cannot walk large dogs because I am too small to physically maneuver them if needed **General furbaby care** - I enjoy sending updates, photos, and videos to pet parents. I understand how much they mean to you and want you to know they are in good hands! - I am attentive to all the details of your care instructions for your furry friend - I prefer to schedule meet & greets prior to service if possible **Lastly: I used Rover in the past to find great dog sitters for Nila- so I understand the importance of a great fit. I look forward to caring for your pets!**

“Toast had the best day at daycare with Kathy and the crew! She took the time to make my slow to warm up pup feel right at home. I really appreciated the pupdates thought out the day and the fact she got to go out on a hike (a favorite activity of hers). Would definitely recommend and Toast can’t wait for her next adventure day!”

About: Hello! I’m Marcella A and I’m currently going to cnm, majoring in veterinary medicine. My passion is to be a voice to those who can’t speak for themselves. This volunteer work at my job shadow (on resume) has given me hands-on experience handling different animal breeds and understanding the deep emotional bond between pets and their owners. I observed a cat surgery, the importance of aftercare and recovery. I’ve studied a Certified Veterinary Technologies performing a venipuncture safely. Growing up I had a lot of animals ranging from snakes, gerbils, hamsters, birds to cats and dogs. In a sense it taught me a lot of responsibility at a young age. I’ve had years of experience understanding the right diet/nutrition, structured hygienic health, behavioral patterns/management and medication needed for fuzzy friends! Currently I have OPEN availability! No furry companion is too big or too small to provide dietary/nutritional feeding times, potty breaks, midday check-ins, local dog walks, structured hygiene, health tracking & emergency preparedness! I am confident in my ability to provide exceptional care to beloved fuzzy friends from the moment they walk through the doors! I provide services to lovely pet owners to support in detailed instructions/expectations that I compile to! Includes but not limited to: fun playtime(indoor/outdoor) dietary, daily water intake, potty habits, long walks, & precise medication intakes!!
“Josie, her husband, and Paco took great care of my Pip while we were vacationing in ABQ. Having Pip go over to her house allowed us to get some hikes, bike rides, and brunches in without having to worry is our young, energetic dog was being destructive or bored at the Airbnb. Highly recommend, and will definitely request Josie again when we return.”

“Diane was so great with our senior rescue poodle. She looked happy in the photos she sent. Tail was wagging when we picked up and she got lots of snuggles. We will be using her again!”

“Far and away a better experience than the first go on Rover. She kept us informed with text updates and pictures of the doggos. Sweet hounds and plenty of space to roam. Your dogs are safe in her hands!”

“Always amazing! Punnarai is caring and attentive. My pup is excited to be dropped off and (sadly for me) tentative to leave the fun environment she creates for him while he’s there. Definitely recommend.”

“This was my first opportunity to use Rover and I had a great experience and so did my Luna. I could really tell Bonni loved pets and took great care to ensure my Luna had a great experience. Thank you so much!”

“Tracy was incredibly kind and caring with our fur baby, she was very responsive and sent lots of pictures during her stay. Also super flexible! Our pup loved Tracy!”

“Michael was very helpful and accommodating. I believe he did his best with Rocco to keep him occupied. Rocco has separation anxiety, but Michael made the efforts to gain his trust in a limited timeframe. We were very appreciative with his services!”

“Julia is a sweetheart! She took us in last minute and was super flexible with our drop off. She made sure to send me updates and pictures through the day. I highly recommend booking with her!!”

About: I have had cats and dogs around since I was a child. I have been boarding for almost 2 years, and walking/doing check-ins for nearly 8 years. I started out doing walks to help fill my want for pets. But now that I have two of my own, I realized this is something I really love doing and it is always a joy to meet other peoples' fur babies. In my home, I do have one other dog who LOVES to play and gets along with every animal and human he meets. I have a scaredy cat, and a handful of kiddos who I have taught animal etiquette to since they were all babies. We have cared for the smallest dogs to the largest. We have had older dogs, puppies, dogs recovering from surgery, and females in heat (although not at the moment until our puppy is fixed). We love your babies like they are our own, and love to be able to take them with us if we ever go on any adventures while they are here (of course, with permission!) I am a stay at home mom, so I am home the majority of the day to care for any animals in my home. My kids are AMAZING with animals, as I have taught lots of animal etiquette over the years caring for animals -- and now that we have our own fur babies too. In my home, we just treat your fur babies like one of our own. We give them lots of attention, play time, walk time, etc. I also incorporate your schedules with ours (ie feeding, etc). If there are any special requests, I fulfill those needs. When I go to a clients home, I respect everything around me and be as gentle and careful as to make sure that the fur babies are comfortable with me in their home.
“Leah is fantastic with Dobby. Our first meet and greet last month went very well with my normally reactive dog. But once Dobby sensed Leah’s energy - kind and safe - he had trust in her. He is excited when he see’s Leah and they have really good walks where his tongue is hanging out. We are grateful to have Leah help out with walking Dobby each week!”

“Thank you for the quick response. Sombra is awesome and usually have a friend pick her up on unexpected longer days but they weren't available. Lauren was able to step in on a moments notice. 🐾 of thanks!”

“Ethanee has been sitting/walking my oliver since he was two months old. He ADORES her and I’m so grateful for her care. She’s attentive, kind, communicative, punctual and respectful of my home/care requests for him. I will use her as long as her schedule allows!”

“Hector has been a fantastic dog walker for Dolly. She adores him and looks forward to their walks. Hector is consistently prompt and flexible with scheduling, making it easy to coordinate even on busy days. Highly recommend his services! He is reliable, caring, and a great fit for Dolly!”

“Rachel is prompt and easy to talk to. She pays attention and was really great with our dogs, who are a handful to walk. We will be booking her for pet sitting this month for sure.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember, and caring for pets has always been one of the greatest joys in my life. From dogs and cats to horses, birds, fish, and even ferrets, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my days with so many wonderful animals over the years. Each one has taught me something new about love, patience, and companionship, and I carry that experience with me into every pet I care for. Right now, I share my home with a lively crew—a sweet senior Husky hybrid who’s 15 years old, a playful 7-month-old Cattle Dog, two affectionate cats (one a sprightly senior of 14 years), and a handful of fish who bring calm and beauty to my space. Because of them, I have firsthand experience with pets at every stage of life. I understand the patience and special attention seniors need, as well as the energy and safe guidance puppies and kittens require as they grow. My passion for animals has inspired me to pursue a career as a Veterinary Technician, but no matter the path, one thing is certain: caring for animals will always be at the heart of what I do. I love spending time outdoors with pets, going on walks, playing their favorite games, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Whether your pet is playful and energetic or prefers quiet snuggles and gentle care, I’ll treat them like one of my own. When your furry (or feathered, or finned!) family members are with me, you can feel confident that they’ll be cared for with warmth, patience, and lots of love. I’m available bright and early in the mornings all the way through the evening for drop-in visits, walks, and check-ins. My regular availability is from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day of the week, weekends included. I understand that every pet and family has different routines, so I’m happy to be flexible and work around the times that suit you best. I’m also available most weekends for house sitting, giving you peace of mind that your pets (and home) are well cared for while you’re away. If there’s ever a time I won’t be available, I’ll always update my schedule in advance so you’ll never be left guessing. My goal is to make things as smooth and stress-free as possible for both you and your pets! I am able to travel throughout the county and city, and I’m comfortable caring for pets in a wide variety of environments, including apartments, houses, farm properties, sidewalks, parks, and outdoor settings. No matter the location, I make it a priority to ensure pets feel secure and cared for in their familiar surroundings. I follow all owner instructions carefully, whether it’s feeding schedules, medication, exercise routines, or special accommodations. Maintaining consistency is important, and I will make sure your pets’ routines are carried out to your exact standards. While house sitting, I provide ongoing attention and companionship throughout the day, and during walks or check-ins, your pets will always have my full, undivided focus. I ensure that pets have access to fresh water, proper meals, and any other care items they may need. I am also fully comfortable working in all types of weather and terrain, so your pets’ care will never be disrupted by outside conditions.

“Kristle did an awesome job checking on and walking both my dogs together. Both of them are strong and my younger dog can be a challenge. She communicates well and sent me pictures. She went above and beyond what I asked. I will certainly be asking her to walk my dogs in the future! ”

“Greg had worked with my dog a year and a half ago, and it was a very good experience. Sadly, that dog passed away but now I have a new dog and I reached out to Greg to see if he could help me get Scooby some extra exercise. He jumped right back in and is helping me and Scooby get off to a good start from the shelter! Greg is great with dogs, and very respectful when it comes to scheduling and communication”

“I was in Albuquerque for work and brought my dog along. I arranged with Erika to walk my dog twice a day during those days when I was going to be gone for long hours. Erika was responsible and communicative. I felt confident in my ability to rely on her, and that she had my dog's best interests at heart. It gave me peace of mind that my dog was in good hands.”

“Opal and Andrew were amazing! Great communications (with me AND Poppy ?), on time, very patient with an over eager pup... We plan to be repeat business right away!”

About: I’ve always had a variety of pets in my house. Growing up my family cared for dogs, turtles, fish, hamsters, frogs, hermit crabs, and chickens. We never owned a cat because my mom is allergic to them but since I moved in with my auntie during university, I have lived with one and have loved it! With my grandma, we currently have 6 dogs! We had two (a chihuahua mixed with poodle and another mixed dog) who are the parents of the other four. I was the only one in my house present when my doggy gave birth to all her babies and I was more than excited to be there with her :) I’m a full-time university student at NMSU. I made this account because I plan to be available everyday during my breaks. This might change for a couple of days but I’m not sure yet. Since I will be on break I also plan to be available nights and weekends. My dogs are family dogs and live outside. I don’t have a house of my own but live with my grandma and mom along with my three siblings and one cousin. The dogs are cared for amongst all family members.

“Leigh did a great job! My pup Rocky and I were new to Santa Fe and I needed to take a 6 day trip out of town. After reviewing several pet sitters on Rover.com I reached out to several. Leigh had great reviews and repeat customers. She was willing to have my pup in her home, along with her dog and cat. Everything went very well. She provided regular updates, photos, and even dog park video. I was pleased how well my dog did during his stay. It was obvious Leigh loves animals and makes them feel comfortable while in her care. Highly recommend Leigh as a pet sitter and will use her in the future.”

“We're so grateful we found Bill, he and his wife are great people and you can tell they really care. Our pup is usually pitiful while we're away but he had a great time boarding with Bill. Highly recommend!”

“I give Gavin the highest recommendation! He is the best! My puppy loved being with Gavin and Wana, who is Gavin's gentle and good-natured boxer. Gavin took really good and thorough care of my puppy. I totally trust him to make good choices. My puppy gave Gavin many "kisses" when we left. I will always call Gavin to board my pup if I have to go out of town!”

“Crystal was amazing! She was extremely quick to communicate and gave me updates throughout Emma‘s stay with her. Emma almost didn’t wanna leave ! Would highly recommend her to anyone in the area!”
