I could tell from the photos that she took such good care of her, Navi was smiling, and really warmed up to Maellin, which she doesn’t do with everyone. It was over the 4th, and Navi was quite nervous about the fireworks. Maellin took every measure to ensure her greatest ease and comfort, bringing her into their bedroom and turning on some background noise to help drown it out. Maellin is also a wonderfully sweet human; she will 100% be my first choice anytime we need care for Navi.”

I grew up with bulldogs and I’ve personally owned German Shepards and Huskies. I am currently in between jobs and preparing for a certification test for signed language interpreting. About: Since the age of 6 I have taken care of many animals such as dogs, cats, ferrets, chickens, and goats. I also enjoy hiking and tons of exercise. I joined the app in hopes of gaining a friend to enjoy the scenery with. Due to having many different classes at different times of the day I get many breaks. Within these breaks I usually take walks on my own to decompress from school. A friend told me she used Rover as well and I thought might as well have a furry friend join me on my walks and enjoy the sunshine too. I have pet sat for neighbors and friends for many years and feel I am very respectful of their homes. While working at a clients home I feel communication is key to build trust and that their house should be the same when I leave as when I entered prior to sitting.

When I was a kid we owned a beagle for at least 4 years and we also had a chocolate lab for about 10 years, so I have some experience taking care of dogs. “Apollo can be a handful with his anxiety and reactivity, and Bri handled it beautifully. They had a rocky first night, because he kept barking at every small noise. After several hours of this, he had her a bit worried about whether or not she could get him to settle down and sleep. But she stuck with it and got him to calm down and pass out. From there the visit went great. She followed our feeding and medication instructions exactly, worked on some training with him during his stay, and did a nice job with redirecting his attention when he got reactive on walks. Communication was excellent throughout. I received regular photos and updates, and she flagged any concerns as they came up rather than letting them sit. The best sign of how the weekend went: at pickup, Apollo planted himself on and between her feet multiple times while we were talking about how the weekend went. He clearly trusts and adores her, which can be difficult given his anxiety. We'll absolutely be booking with her again!”
