We didn't know it at the time, but he had gone into stage 3 kidney disease since his last check up and was starting to lose his appetite while we were gone. Savanah did her best to make sure he ate, even if he didn't feel like it. She gave all our cats so much love and attention. And all of her report cards gave us lots of updates and pics so I could keep my anxiety at bay. My habit is to bring my own supplies, so when you get home, everything is how you left it. I have a ukulele and I sing familiar covers, so I’ll mention it now in case the neighbors mention something about it. (I have yet to have a dog howl as I sang, though the huskies were very talkative.) Drop-In: Depending on our discussion during the Meet & Greet, I will swing by your house according to the schedule we’ve set up. I will make sure the water is fresh and the food bowl has plenty of food. (My job is to make sure the animal(s) know they are being cared for and that they don’t have to stress about whether or not they will starve to death - I’m thinking of cats especially here who see the bottom of the food bowl and start to panic. Not on my watch!) Walk: I’ll be at your house at the time(s) we’ve discussed, put on the collar and leash, and set out on the adventure. My habit is to sing as I walk so that any other critter has a chance to get out of sight - a lesson learned by startling a skunk. It is important that I know if the neighborhood is friendly or if folks keep to themselves. Do(es) the dog(s) visit friends on the trail? or should I keep them on their own?

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats my entire life. Since I was 12, it’s been my responsibility to take care of our English Setter. This began with me helping to train him. My role was to reinforce the lessons taught at the PetSmart classes. I’ve regularly walked, bathed, and taken to the vet our dog as well. I love animals of all kinds and care a lot about giving them the loving attention they deserve. I currently work part time 6 days a week, with Sundays off.
