About: I have lived with at least 2 dogs in my household for the past 20 years. Providing them with the opportunities to live fulfilling and healthy lives has been my priority. Although I am their caregiver, I consider them also to be my teachers. Learning how to communicate with them is the best way to ensure they are happy and calm, and that they feel safe. I am currently retired and spend quite a bit of time at the dog park. My dog and I are mostly inseparable. I take him with me to run errands when I can. It isn't always practical and so he minds the house when I am away. Barney is my only companion, and, even though I'm kind of a loner, Barney is NOT. He is extremely friendly and social and craves the company of other dog;, that factors into my decision to care for other dogs in my home. Barney will help me keep your dog comfortable and happy while in our care. We have a fenced back yard (4 foot). The surrounding properties have no dogs at this time. If your dog can jump a 4 foot fence, this may not be the safest home for him or her.

About: Hey there I'm Cindy, I've raised and trained show dogs and household pets since 1995. I even built my life around staying home for the dogs. I have also been a source of care for neighbors, friends and Airbnb guests. I have a fenced yard with an additional dog run, grass, smooth pebble and even sand. Plenty of trees for shade and a covered patio. The dogs will have indoor/outdoor access and crates for eating and time out. I look forward to helping you and your fur babies. About: I’ve always had a variety of pets in my house. Growing up my family cared for dogs, turtles, fish, hamsters, frogs, hermit crabs, and chickens. We never owned a cat because my mom is allergic to them but since I moved in with my auntie during university, I have lived with one and have loved it! With my grandma, we currently have 6 dogs! We had two (a chihuahua mixed with poodle and another mixed dog) who are the parents of the other four. I was the only one in my house present when my doggy gave birth to all her babies and I was more than excited to be there with her :) I’m a full-time university student at NMSU. I made this account because I plan to be available everyday during my breaks. This might change for a couple of days but I’m not sure yet. Since I will be on break I also plan to be available nights and weekends. My dogs are family dogs and live outside. About: I've been taking care of animals almost my whole life! I have experience with old dogs and anxious dogs, as well as cats! I love animals of all sizes and have all the time in the world to care for them. I do not currently have a job- I am a college student doing this over the summer. I firmly believe exercise is necessary for happy owners and pets alike. Leadership never turns off. I live off a simple and disciplined schedule. I'm almost always up before 05:00 with the exception of weekends and the first things I do as part of my morning routine is let the dogs out, meditate, and then take my dog Blitzen for a run. I have a large backyard that is enclosed by walls. Every pup I house I exercise, as it's important for their mental health (and mine), and it helps them acclimate to a new environment. I've trained multiple dogs and I'm adapted to recognizing and preventing unwanted fights and scenarios of that nature. I care for all pets in the same manner and typically follow leadership strategies recommended by Cesar Milan & Don Sullivan such as implementing rules, boundaries, and limitations as well as showing affection at the appropriate time so as not to encourage nervous and aggressive energy. Dogs have been a large part of my well-being and happiness and I understand that they have specific needs as well. Leadership to me entails leading my own life and practicing personal integrity. Wendy let me know immediately that Almond started howling in the middle of the night. I wasn't sure what was going on since he never did that at home. My initial thought was he was missing me and home. And because of his age, I believe he got disoriented and lost and couldn't identify where he was at. Wendy did follow the instructions I left and asked if there was anything more she could do. I appreciate Wendy giving Almond the extra care he needed. Thanks again..”

About: Hi there! I am 27 and newly graduated from law school looking to take care of your furry friends to help pay off student loans. I have taken care of dogs ever since I was a little girl, and I have a border collie mix and lab of my own, Nugget and Bub. I have worked with and taken care of dogs from puppy age all the way up to senior status. There has never been a time I have not lived with dogs and can help you with house sitting/dog care, letting your dog out during the day, or dog-walking. I am also a marathon runner so if your dog does better on jogs/runs, I am happy to do that with your dog too! Feel free to reach out to me and discuss what needs you may have with your dog so we can make sure all your pet’s needs are met 😊 Extensive experience taking care of dogs in their homes and at mine. I have experience dropping in and staying at people’s homes ensuring their pets are well taken care of. I make sure their food and/or medications are given to them properly and they receive outdoor time and exercise. I can also make sure plants and mail are taken care of as well. If you have other types of pets in the home, we can discuss care for them as well. Dog walking- I am comfortable taking your dogs on walks around the neighborhood or on local trails. I have walked many dogs with leashes, harnesses, and easy-walkers. I am able to use any of these types of equipment with your dogs. Before I take your pet on a walk, I ask that you communicate with me any behaviors your dog may exhibit on walks or around other dogs I should know before I take them out. I have also trained my own dog. While I do not offer training, if you are working on a skill, I am happy to follow the method you are using with your dog. Thank you for your consideration ☺️ I work twice a week remotely and am available on the weekends. I can come during the days I’m remote or at lunch/ after work during the days I’m at work! I am homebody on the weekends other than going out on hikes/being out in nature so I’m generally available (: I am a big advocate of taking Nugget with me everywhere I go if possible and at least one walk daily. Frankly, she is spoiled, and that is how I would treat your pets too! I love being around dogs and being a homebody spend lots of time with my dog or the dogs I’m taking care of. I also am adaptable and can meet any needs your dog has as long as we communicate about that beforehand. My goal is to make sure you know and feel that your dog is being taken care of, safe, and being loved on!
