About: Hi! I've been fostering dogs from a local shelter for a little over 2 years. In that time, I've helped about 20 dogs find their forever families. There's been dogs in our home ranging in age from 9 months to 9 years, all with a different story. Abused, neglected, owner surrender, stray, court case holds, seniors, puppies, overweight, super skinny and anything else you can think of! I treated them all with empathy and showered them affection to earn their trust and love. Many of my former fosters come for visits while their owners are on vacation. Any pup that comes through my doors will be cared for and treated with respect, just like my fosters! I work at a school, so I'm currently on summer break. When school is in session, I work Monday to Friday 9-1, and I'm off evenings, weekends and holidays. I also work in the town in which I reside, so my commute is less than 5 minutes, meaning I'm close by! I have a fully fenced in yard, crates and dog beds in various sizes, bowls, blankets and mounds of toys. I'm also comfortable administering medication if needed.

Daily walks, constant play, and by the end he was lounging on their furniture like he owned the place. They kept me updated throughout his stay with so many pictures and reassurances. It really put my mind at ease. About: Hiya! I am a neonatal "bottle baby" foster parent for days and week old kittens. I specifically volunteer and foster through AWA and Homeward Bound animal shelter. I have 3 cats, 2 of which I fostered since they were 2wks old. I am very comfortable with adminstering medication, tube and bottle feedings. “I did a meet and greet with Samantha and her resident dog, and I immediately knew that my little puppy would be safe and in good hands with her. She understands dog behavior and we watched and made sure that my dog would be nice to her sweet dog. The next day I dropped my doggie for some doggy daycare and as to be expected, he seemed a little nervous when I left him, and Samantha reassured me that after a few minutes, he would be fine -and he was. Just like other reviewers have noted when I went to pick up my little guy he did not seem to want to go home with me. He let me know with his body language that he was very happy and having fun. Samantha and her partner are genuine “dog people”. My dog is very selective with men and he immediately showed affection towards Samantha‘s boyfriend. They have the knowledge and patience you’re looking for.”
About: I’ve owned and cared for cats, dogs, fish, rodents and reptiles for more than 45 years. I would be happy to share the love with your furry (or otherwise) family members too. I currently have a sheepadoodle that loves other dogs and people, so he would love to have a playmate to come and take walks and spend time with us. About: I can’t remember a time I didn’t have a pet of some sort under my care! From dogs, to birds, to fish, to frogs, I’ve really done it all! While I don’t have a furry friend of my own yet in vet school, I would love to take yours in and treat them like my own. About: I have always had a soft spot for puppies to seniors, all breeds of pooches. About: I’ve had dogs and watched dogs since I moved to this area in 2006. I love to take them for walks and give lots of scratches. Dogs are just the best. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I also don’t start until 8:30 or 9 so early mornings are good. I am up late also so any time at night is fine. My home has a fenced in yard. “As a first timer I didn’t know what to expect and was nervous. But soon after I became comfortable once receiving photo worthy moments of my happy dog Luna with Karen. You could see how happy and comfortable Luna was having a large fenced yard and many toys to play with. She couldn’t get enough of it. Karen gave enough attention to Luna. She asked for permission before giving Luna anything that she did not come with which I appreciated. I would certainly choose Karen again if I ever needed someone to take care of Luna.”

“Donte boarded my senior German Shepherd for 5 days including Christmas Day. She was well cared for, receiving her medications twice a day to manage her hip arthritis and pain from IVDD. She came home rested and without any signs of over exertion, which can be difficult to manage while other dogs are boarded. My only concern was that I had become used to Rover hires providing a daily update; I had not explicitly asked for this and Donte sent one unprompted update (on Christmas), but he was very quick to respond when I reached out to check in on her. He also offered an important observation at pick up about the length of my dogs back toenails, indicating careful attention to the dog’s wellbeing.”
