“Nacho is a very selective Chihuahua who immediately adored Nicole. He exhibited none of the signs of anxiety he generally does when he meets someone new (or even someone he has met several times). He accepted Nicole as one of his special people and behaved as well (if not better!) for her than he does at home. Nicole sent us photos of Nacho napping, taking walks and looking completely adorable while he was in her care; we could see how content he was and were able to have peace of mind while we were traveling. Nacho will definitely be staying with Nicole the next time we need a dog sitter.”

About: I've raised dogs my entire life! Over the last 5 years, I've started house sitting for family friends for upwards of 3-4 weeks at a time, adding cats, bunnies, and birds to the rotation. Currently until the end of June, I will be working about 4 days a week as a substitute teacher. I'm usually out of the house by 6:30a and home around 3:15p. I keep a close eye on their behavior and make sure they feel comfortable and secure while they are with me. In a Client’s Home: When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions for feeding, walks, routines, and rules for the pet. I make sure pets stay on their normal schedule so they feel comfortable while their owner is away. I give them lots of attention, exercise, and care, and I make sure they are always safe and well looked after.

About: I have grown up with dogs almost all of my life and they are great! I drive around for work as a speech therapist, so if you need someone to pop in and let your dog out, maybe we can work something out! I also enjoy taking dogs for walks, too. In the pictures is my dog Georgia, who passed away several years ago, unexpectedly. I can’t bare to delete them! I own a home on a medium sized lot,so your dog has somewhere to safely play. The backyard is fenced off while the front is not. I also live in a relatively small neighborhood (2x3) blocks that's perfect for going on walks with the pups! I will take really good care of your family member as I would my own. I have dealt with the escape artist routine and don't want to pose that risk to your pet. We have a backyard with a fence and will remain on a leash no matter what. I just don't feel comfortable trusting them without it. I have a "TWO DOOR POLICY", which just means that if any exterior doors are opened, your pet will either be leashed to go outside before or will be placed in a bedroom behind another door before the exterior door can be opened. Absolutely no chance for an escape artist!

About: I have taken care of pets my entire life. I’ve had dogs, cats and fish. I’ve cared for lizards and small furry friends as well. I will always stop to pet a dog and I’ve had animals come up to me out in the wild on multiple occasions. Although I currently do not have a pet, I love sitting for my friends. I’ve cared for all size and age of dog from a few months to 16 years. I believe pets are family and should be treated as such. Im currently off for the summer but teaching summer school for the month of July. My schedule is pretty open and much if what I do have scheduled is flexible. Although I live in an apartment, my complex is extremely pet friendly with 4 dog parks and a full walking loop with poop bags around the entire property.
