About: I grew up with dogs + cats and have experience raising puppies, handling senior dogs, and dogs with minor special needs (mobility issues and vision-impaired). I have worked with animal rescues as a foster for dogs as well! As for cats, I have fostered nearly 50 kittens and adult cats, and have experience with special needs cats! I have a rescue of my own for 6+ years now, bichon/poodle mix. Though he had a traumatic start before me, he has adjusted well and is a cuddle bug, and getting better with his socialization with new doggos. I have been a dog sitter for friends over the last 8+ years, when they go on trips. I have experience in minor training, like sit/stay/leash leading, for a few breeds up to 50-70 lbs (no certificates, just repitition and patience). Positive recognition of good behavior and moderate activity (to remedy the bad behavior) when you need me are what I hope to share with your furry family members. I am currently working part-time, so i can set up a schedule of regular pet attention care during part day time hours. When house sitting I can spend as much time as is needed in the home for walks, playtime, any cleanups, potty breaks, etc. But I do prefer to sleep in my own home because of my two cats who need me at night. However I am flexible and if your pet has a specific need or doesn't do well being alone certain times of day we can work to accomodate that. Your pet's safety is a non negotiable for me, it is so important to me that your pet feels comfortable with me no matter what we're doing. Establishing a bond with an animal can be the most rewarding experience in the world! When talking about safety with any pet, I take a precautious approach with anything that could become an 'oops!' or a 'hey you, get that out of your mouth!' moment. So I will always take precautions with anything being left out unmonitored like toys, food, anything chewable, stringy, or soft toys, etc. I never want to have to think twice about a preventable accident with your pet, so I always take the time to keep everyone safe. This goes especially for walks, your dog or cat's safety is always going to be at the front of my mind when interacting with any other furry friends nearby, as it is always better to be safe than sorry. Every pet needs a different relationship approach, and different play styles! There are some pets who just want to cuddle, ones who need specific play-styles to be interested, and others who need someone up to the task of frizbee-ing the Tasmanian Devil out of them! I know personally one of my cats only wants to lazily swat at one specific toy he keeps losing, and the other wants to run and leap around for 20 minutes straight. I am dedicated to learning what your pet really likes so they have a great time with me, and you can go to work, over a friends, or on vacation without a worry that they living their best life.

“Nyema took really good care of my furry buddy Corky for a whole week. We did a meet and greet before my scheduled trip. Each day while I was away she sent a picture for me to see he was ok. She was even concerned that he wasn’t drinking any water or eating much the first couple days. After a couple days he adjusted and started to drink and show her his fun personality. He interacted with little ones too and played with them. I was in another state working but was never worried about him being away from me for so many days. I picked him up and he was happy.
