I grew up with a variety of pets in the household, especially dogs, but have an affinity for all kinds of pets. Through my remote working life and surf-travel, I've been able to take up some rewarding housesitting and pet sitting opportunities for both friends and strangers in NYC, California, and Mexico City. I'm very comfortable caring for pets with medications or special needs, and always treat every furry friend with the same love and attention as my own. I once did a month-long stay for a very large Irish Greyhound in Rockaway Beach, NYC and it was an exceptional experience. About: I’ve taken care of pets since my early 20s. I began fostering dogs in my early 30s and even had some foster failures. I have always been that friend, neighbor, stranger that will stop and help and animal in need or just stop the world to say hi to a four legged love ! I have full open availability! While we no longer offer pet sitting in our home, we would love to offer drop in visits, and daily walks afterschool, evenings or during the weekends to give your fur baby some lov'n and activity while you're away! Depending on your fur baby's needs, during each visit, we will check food & water levels, give a 5 - 10 minute play session and a quick potty break outside. If you want, leave us a leash and we'll take your pup on a 20-30 min walk around the neighborhood to explore and get some exercise! We want to ease your worries that while you're away, your pup will be given lots of love and care! I'm a school teacher who has my afternoons (after 2:30pm) and weekends free to drop in and give your pup plenty of lov'n and care! Check in with me during summer & holiday breaks, too, bc when school is off, I have the whole day free to check in on your fur baby! Upon arrival, I always let my furry friends smell and get acquainted with me before feeding or letting outside. “It is always hard leaving your beloved pet in a new place with people he doesn’t know. Joe and Joann were so warm and welcoming to both us and to our Rudy. They have a great fenced in yard that allowed for lots of interesting sniffs, and a loving home. Rudy is so very shy, so I’m sure he was a bit sad at his first overnight, but I know he’ll warm up to his new “spot” very quickly. We got lots of photos and encouraging comments during his stay. That helps a lot! We will definitely be back.”
