About: I have been around dogs my entire life, and held part-time jobs & volunteer positions fostering and helping animals find homes. I work from home full-time and my partner is a registered nurse, so we have very flexible schedules. I also do have my own amazing, handicapped senior dog, so will only accept dogs that are friendly and we’ll trained. I know how hard it can be to find good dog sitters, and I want to be that person for someone else! About: I spent the past 4 years running a successful dog-watching business in NYC with my partner. We have since relocated to Northern NJ and intend to provide the same high quality services for pets here. I grew up with animals - dogs, rabbits, birds, mice, turtles and fish. I would’ve had cats too if members of my family weren’t so allergic. As a teen I volunteered with friends at our local animal shelter and chose to work with the cat population because most of the volunteers wanted to walk the dogs. Most recently I trained my own dog - starting from when she was 6 weeks old. I used a combination of training techniques (including crate training) to successfully potty-train her, teach her to walk on a leash and eventually teach her to hike and run together off-leash. My dog is now 3 years old and I bring her to my grandmother’s assisted living facility. She interacts with and plays appropriately with other dogs, pets, adults and children of all ages. “Manuel is simply fabulous!! My dog is 12 and had an ACL tear and had surgery. I needed someone to watch him for the day about a week after surgery. My dog had a cone and a lick sleeve and we went for a Meet and Great with Manuel. He was so warm, professional and compassionate to my lil guy. My dog stayed with him a few days later and it was perfect. Manuel had to carry my dog up the steps and he was so gentle and loving. I highly recommend Manuel. About: I feel what makes me different from other candidates is that I have treats for them. I make sure they are always comfortable. I give you updates on how they are doing. I know as dog parents sometimes we stress of knowing how they are. I also have been working taking care of dogs since I was 15. It was helped me learn a lot through the years Taking care of your fur baby fits in my daily routine because I have extra time and I enjoy going on walks and they bring so much joy. What makes my home safe is that I live a safe area. There is a park across the street across the street. They also get the backyard. There are no kids and they will monitored.
