“I rarely find cause to write good reviews but Jessica and Maria did such a great job with our 6 month old toy poodle pup that I felt compelled to write. We had arranged for a family member to take care of our girl for 2 weeks but her dog got sick and we need to explore other options. I initially looked into to doggy hotels but your dog doesn't get any personal attention, is lumped together all day with tons of dogs and sits in a room solo 7 hours a night. I came across Jessica on Rover. I could tell by her many positive reviews that people genuinely were happy. We received daily pics and videos while we were away which really put our minds at ease. We received prompt answers to any questions we had. Harlee was integrated into their family and she looked like she had a great time. Jessica and her mom Maria are dog lovers and appear to truly enjoy what they do. I would not hesitate to leave our pup with Jessica in the future. Our dog is a handful and she came back to us healthy and happy!”

“Holly and DK have been great so far with our (sometimes needy) corgi Moose! Moose has been to daycare a few times and stayed overnight for a long weekend and he seems to enjoy and come home happy. Holly & DK are a lovely young couple who communicate quickly and thoroughly, are flexible about pick up/drop off times, and always send us a handful of cute pictures. We've also noticed they go above and beyond to return food bowls, kongs, and blankets back cleanly. We're happy we found them and look forward to having Moose stay with them in the future!”
“We left our dog Whiskey with Jessica for a five day vacation stay. Jessica was outstanding! She made us feel so comfortable leaving him with her. She sent pictures everyday and he has a bud for life in butters. Jessica gave whiskey bones and play toys throughout the stay and treated him like he was her very own. About: I had a Yorkshire Terrier who lived for almost 16 years. After he passed away, I found a small puppy on the street. I took care of him and eventually couldn't give him away. Now Lucky—that's his name—is 4 years old and weighs 75 lbs. I'm very comfortable with dogs and have a good understanding of their behavior and what they need. You could say I have over 20 years of experience with dogs, and even more if you count cats. If your dog loves to run, I can take him to a park with unpaved trails (I can explain why I prefer unpaved trails) and ride alongside him on my bicycle. I have a protective dog cover for the back seat of my car and a leash that can be attached to a bicycle. I also periodically donate money to people who rescue and care for orphaned and homeless dogs. I have enough time to handle this job, plus I truly love dogs and cats, so it's honestly more of a hobby than a job. First, I sit on the floor next to the dog. When my eyes are almost at the same level as the dog's eyes, they feel no aggression from the stranger. When the dog gets used to me and my presence doesn't disturb him/her, I start playing with him/her (I can't call them 'it'). I've fed orphaned and homeless dogs before and know how to approach them. Once I spent 5 hours (I'm not kidding) saving a homeless dog who had fallen into a water drainage and couldn't get out.

About: We love our dog but we aren’t crazy dog people. Our home is clean. We have a friendly husky and a large fenced yard. We don’t leave for longer than 2 hours when we have a dog over and generally take 1 guest dog at a time. We work from home and only watch when we can be here every 2 hours. We don’t go out for more than 2 hours with a dog staying. I have a big fenced yard and a friendly husky that will keep your pet entertained. We also have a great dog walking neighborhood and path.

“Debbie sent pictures and all I saw were 2 small dogs who did not miss their human Mom. There was play time (smiles and action), down time (cuddling and relaxing). I was always under the impression they sat in a corner and missed me with all their tiny hearts, but no - Debbie had them going the whole time! One fell asleep on the drive home due to the days action, the other needed every minute of tthe days action! Her property is amazing! Gorgeous setting only maybe two or three miles from downtown Bernardsville. So much safe space to run and play in. About: I've been caring for small pets such as, Hamsters, Guinea-pigs and Fish (from goldfish, etc. to Oscars,etc.) from a very young age. Therein, for example, when I was still a little girl, my friend and neighbor could no longer care for their beloved, hamster, Andy; who did they think of... me ! So, Andy, the hamster was adopted and added to the fold. Next, Cats and Dogs. When my neighbor found a stray cat had given birth in their shed closet, again, who did they call?! I adopted one of the 3 kittens; adopting their sibling from the same liter soon after the first adoptee, was unable to care for it. I began caring for Angel and Geisha, my first two cats. Last but not least, Dogs... Cream was a white Pittie, whose owner, again, became unable to care for her so she lived with me and my 2 year old daughter at the time, and they loved each other dearly. After, finding Cream a permanent home, I had the honor of caring for other dogs for friends and neighbors even the homeless, from which I cared for Lulu, a pittie, living with her owner on the street. However, she received a healthy diet, vet care and patience, training to reverse some of the habits she developed living on the street. Now, although, I've cared for others such as Bamboo, the Pitbull, that seemed to take care of himself, lol and Karma, who needed a foster during the Covid pandemic; I'm entrusted with the care of my Pittie/German-Sheppard Gran-pet baby, Nasir aka Nas, while my daughter's in college. Nice enough, I still get to switch it up and care for the Cats (and small pets) of various friends and neighbors in my community. With that, I try o create a Pet-care Staycation like atmosphere when boarding or Home care while pet-parents are away and a Family like atmosphere for Fosters. I look forward to meeting your furry friends and four legged family members :) Pet care is not only therapeutic, it fits into my schedule perfectly, since I am a semi-retired administrative professional who suffered an untimely stroke at a young age. However. after an almost miraculous recovery, I'd like to move forward in a direction that nurtures my empathetic personality. Therein, leaving the desk behind, affording me with a more active lifestyle, all year round. As to that, my days generally consist of assisting my daughter with her dog, exercise, personal errands and volunteering a few hours a week. Although, I take pet care jobs occasionally, I'd like to "officially"extend my services to do something I love (I believe I'm good at it.) and rewarding because the pets (my clients) always seem to appreciate it. I have a fenced in yard and super friendly and silly, one year old fur gran-baby that would be happy to show a visiting canine "the ropes", lol. I can also crate and/or crate train your dog(s), when necessary. They will always have access to clean water; be walked consistently and fed on time and kept in a clean an organized space, whether at your home or mine. I make sure to follow pet parents care instructions. I send photos or video of fun moments to give insight as to how your pets are doing and cared for. I play, pet and communicate with each pet in their way to build trust, friendship and joy while their pet parents are away. In addition, I have had some dog training in the recent past and will have more dog training in the near future to help me care for our hairy pals compassionately and efficiently. I'm always happy to work out a schedule based on your needs. My goal is to make you and your dog as happy and comfortable as possible. I love taking dogs on long walks around their neighborhood or bringing them to Watchung Reservation for some well deserved time in nature. I understand every dog's needs are different so I'll make sure they're comfortable and content while their owners are away. I have experience caring for reactive dogs and am comfortable walking with them and am a firm believer in positive reinforcement.

“Na was amazing in taking care of my rescue dog who is generally very nervous and shy around strangers. She took the time to let him get to know her and gave him plenty of space to play and took him on many walks. The communication throughout was also top notch, I got so many pictures and updates, which made me feel at ease that he is happy and safe with her. At the end of the stay my dog was so comfortable that he wanted to go back into her house! Which says a lot! I’m sure both my dog and I will be happy to go back.”
