About: I have been around dogs and cats my whole life. Up until recently, I have raised 2 dogs for the past 15 years and cats prior to/during part of that time. I am a stay-at-home mom with 2 young adults away at college so I have flexibility to visit homes with dogs or cats throughout the day. About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! I currently have three dogs of my own and have cared for seven dogs throughout my life. About: First and foremost, I love our furry little friends! I have a beautiful 4.5 year old Bluetick Coonhound/German Shepard mix named Scarlet & she is the love of my life. We love relaxing & snuggling together, walking, running, playing with a soccer ball & of course she loves being chased around with her toy. She is well trained unless she’s being her stubborn hound self! I also grew up with 3 cats and a Beagle/Chihuahua mix, which was my first dog at 17. I am well trained with medicating pets, senior pets & nervous/anxious pets. Even though my days during the week are filled with meeting new dogs/cats or seeing my favorite patients, there’s always room for more love to give! I work full time during the week at the animal hospital (Monday-Thursday) but I am available on weekends for those that work or have plans :) I make sure the pet’s collar/leash are well secured on them so there is no chance for them to get loose while on a walk. I will make sure all gates are closed. As part of being a vet tech I am trained in trimming nails & expressing anal glands, as well as knowing if there is an issue that needs to be addressed by a doctor. If your pet has any specific medical, food or behavioral needs I am very experienced to assist! :)
