About: Hello, My Name is Ashley and Ive always had a passion for animals. Between cats, dogs of all breeds and sizes, and exotic animals, I have experience with them all! I went to a technical high school and completed a vet assisting program, where I learned how to administer meds and work as a vet assistant. After that I worked as a Kennel Technician for a couple years. I went to grooming school and learned how to become a professional groomer. About: Growing up, we always had a dog or two and cats in the house. Each one, a member of the family that are loved and spoiled. I now have a year and a half old English chocolate lab named Errol and two cats, Pepper and Chester who are 12 and 6 years old. About: Without exception, the dog park is always one of the best parts of my day. I've had three dogs of my own, and have been around countless other dogs, most of whom instantly become my new best friends. We just gravitate to each other, hence the fuzzy friend whisperer nickname. I have a playful, loving attitude toward every dog I meet. I am also sensitive to dogs who need a little more patience and space to ease into trusting me and respect the boundaries that they need to do that. My training style with my own dogs is focused on positive reinforcement rather than punishment. This approach translates to other dogs as well, unless their owners request differently. Your dog will be in caring, responsible hands with me. They will be loved. Vogel Emergency Vet just opened right across the street from our house, so if anything kind of emergency pops up, your baby will be a hop, skip and a jump away from the care they need. I'm self employed and work mostly from home so my schedule is quite flexible. Sometimes I’ll have drop in visits throughout the day, but if your dog is boarding with me, there will generally be someone else at home with them. They’ll rarely, if ever be left alone. I live on a small farm but also live near a road, so your dog will always be safely on a leash when we go outside for potty breaks. I have a very friendly 12 year old 45lb labradoodle named Huck to keep your baby company in the rare cases that I'm not at home. I have a "squirrel observatory" (bird feeder) right near my workspace so your dog will not only be supervised most of the time but also entertained.

About: Since I was a young girl I was always the family remember in charge of making sure our pets were fed, entertained, trained and given exercise. Around the age of 10 was my first time watching over our neighbors new puppy as they went on vacation. At the time I was nervous but my energetic energy matched the puppy perfectly. Currently i’m renting an apartment at my college UNH with my cat and a roommate. My neighbors who have pets continuously asked me to watch them because of how much time and energy I put into carrying for them. Sometimes I only watch them for the day when work or school takes over and other for extended periods of time. If this becomes the case I make sure to walk and entertained the pet so that they don’t feel lonely. Cat sitting in house is my most common form of cat sitting. Cats and dogs have very different needs from a sitter that I can provide with my years of experience working and owning my own pets I go to school at UNH, and I have courses Monday- Thursday. To ensure that I have room to study, I prefer to do sitting bookings on the weekend. With my classes, there will need to be flexibility with me needing to leave for extended periods of time. Most of my classes are between 1.5 - 4 hours and are mostly in the evening. I do also have my own cat who I need to feed every morning and night. Other than those restrictions, I will spend as much time with your fur baby(s) as possible! If there is a fenced in yard or not, I still plan to take pups on daily leash walks to ensure safety of the both of us. Ultimately whatever the client feels most comfortable and confident with I will ensure to use those methods. This can include crate use, specific walk routes, specific animal preferences and more.

Because I work full time during the week, I reserve dog care for weekends only—this way I can dedicate my attention and energy to your pup. My weekends are open for long walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles, and my kids and I love having the extra time to focus on making each dog feel happy and cared for. By keeping my schedule this way, I can promise that your furry family member won’t just “fit into” my day—they’ll become a part of my family for the day(s). When caring for dogs, I focus on keeping them active, loved, and comfortable. My two young kids (ages 4 and 6) have endless energy and love to play, so visiting pups get plenty of attention and interaction. I live in a quiet town with lots of sidewalks and nearby neighborhoods, which makes for safe and enjoyable walks. While I don’t have a fenced-in backyard, I do have plenty of grassy space for outdoor time, and I’m happy to crate dogs if that’s part of their routine or helps them feel secure. Whether it’s playtime, exercise, or downtime, I’ll make sure your pup feels right at home.

My dogs are allowed on our couches, so yours would be too. They sleep in my husband's and my bedroom, so your dog would also be welcome to sleep in our bedroom, or downstairs in the living room/kitchen if they prefer. Free-range dogs are welcome and crate training is not required unless your dog is destructive or unsafe when left unattended. We have a fenced in yard to let them out for potty-breaks and to play. If you would prefer me to stay in your home overnight, I have a lot of experience staying in clients' homes with their dogs, and often bring my dogs with me to provide socialization (if you want).
