“My sister and I were heading to Stowe with our dogs for a ski trip when we found out the house wasn't dog friendly. Oh no! Luckily we found Gwynn who lives close to Stowe. She only takes two dogs at a time which was perfect for my dog and my sister's since they're best friends! Gwynn was great with initial introductions with my somewhat skittish dog and her dogs. We were in contact with her everyday with photos and a video of them frolicking in the snow. She always responded quickly via phone or text. After picking them up, our dogs ended up sleeping the entire next day from having too much fun. My dog in particular did not want to leave Gwynn's chickens! I would highly recommend Gwynn, especially if your dog needs personal attention, lots of exercise and outdoor time.”

About: My experience comes from caring for my own dogs and dog sitting big dogs for friends who don't want their pups to stay in their comfy familiar home while they are away. I've owned labs, huskies, shepherds and collies. Most recently I had two collies that have travelled with me around the world. Sadly both have passed recently So I'm without a dog of my own but love having them around. I am happy to meet new dogs of all ages and breeds. I love large dogs too but my place may be too small for some but I'm happy to meet up and see what works. I work from home a lot and am very flexible to drop in or take your pup(s) for a walk. I run most days and can have pups join if that's something they like. I am very cautious about dog handling and will follow your instructions. I will only care for dogs in my home after I've taken care of them at your home and I am familiar enough with the dog so that I am sure it will be ok in a new space and that I can accommodate its needs.

About: I’ve been caring for pets for most of my life, starting at age 16 when I helped my mom with dog sitting and house sitting. By the time I turned 18, I had built my own small client base and began independently caring for pets. Over the years, I’ve cared for a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, and birds. My dog experience ranges from energetic puppies to senior dogs of all sizes. Many of the pets I’ve cared for have required daily medications, so I’m very comfortable managing medical routines and special care needs. I also have experience handling unexpected situations, including transporting pets to the veterinarian for emergencies while families are away, always keeping owners informed and their pets safe. I work full time at Dartmouth Hitchcock in the operating room, but my role is very flexible. I’m able to step away during the day for check-ins, walks, feedings, and potty breaks, and I can also work remotely when needed. This flexibility allows me to give pets consistent attention throughout the day rather than limiting care to early mornings or evenings. I’m very reliable with schedules and communication, and I make sure every pet I care for gets the time, attention, and love they deserve. At this time, I’m unable to offer dog sitting in my own home, as one of my dogs struggles to make new friends. I provide in-home sitting instead, which I actually prefer—this allows your dog to stay in their familiar environment, stick to their normal routine, and avoid the added stress of a new space. My goal is always to keep your pet comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

Professionally, I was vet assistant at an animal clinic before returning to farm animal work. At the clinic I learned the basics of animal health care and I learned how to properly handle dogs and cats. Throughout the last twelve years I’ve farm-sat and pet-sat for numerous friends and family members! In the last year I worked at a doggy daycare and worked groups of 11-12 large dogs. I also worked in group of 15+ small dogs and "solos" (highly dog aggressive dogs). Working in that environment took me to the next level of understanding cues and dog behavior. I learned to advocate for dogs, look for health and safety warning signs and how to manage group dynamics. I am currently a *human* nurse and making time for animals because that is where I feel I really come alive. :) I believe that animals are part of the family and I will treat them like so. I have basic experience with dog training and I personally believe that dogs thrive in structured and predictable environments. I love exercising and having fun with dogs, too! I have availability to help you with your pup or cat! Depending on the health of your pet I will socialize and exercise your pet's body and mind and of course offer any snuggles that are welcomed. About: My parents and friends know they can rely on me for animal sitting. Ive taken care of dogs and cats consistently for 15 years. I have experience with all sized dogs for I’ve helped train my German Shepard and toy poodle alongside with my mom. I am going to be home until mid June but will back to animal in early August. I am very flexible with time as long as I am scheduled 3 days in advanced. The closest main road to my house is 3/4 of mile so cars won’t be an issue. I love trail walking and running which sometimes my dogs will accompany me; there are a lot of no car friendly trails to venture on. I do it all the time with my German Shepard and my neighbors German Shepard who are dog friendly. At home it is easy to give the dogs space to themselves for I have my own room where they can eat and sleep.

“I picked up a happy pup after a stay with Eddie and Rene. Eddie took Charlie on walks, hikes, and to the local parks. He has two other dogs who got along well with Charlie. Eddie is quick to respond to texts and sends pictures along. We will have Charlie stay with Eddie and Rene again. Thank you !”
“My sister and I were heading to Stowe with our dogs for a ski trip when we found out the house wasn't dog friendly. Oh no! Luckily we found Gwynn who lives close to Stowe. She only takes two dogs at a time which was perfect for my dog and my sister's since they're best friends! Gwynn was great with initial introductions with my somewhat skittish dog and her dogs. We were in contact with her everyday with photos and a video of them frolicking in the snow. She always responded quickly via phone or text. After picking them up, our dogs ended up sleeping the entire next day from having too much fun. My dog in particular did not want to leave Gwynn's chickens! I would highly recommend Gwynn, especially if your dog needs personal attention, lots of exercise and outdoor time.”

About: Growing up around a wide variety of animals has given me the skills and passion needed to be an attentive and responsible carer of all kinds of pets. I've owned several dogs, cats, rodents, and horses. I was responsible for administering medications, accommodating pets with special needs, becoming attuned to various behaviors and habits, and adhering to specific individualized training methods. I'm currently working full-time from home as a customer service rep for a small, local company and mothering my 2 year old toddler (who is very gentle and respectful around all animals). I'm fortunately very flexible with my schedule and can accommodate both last-minute and long-term schedules! Being a sincere animal lover, I'm always enthusiastically willing to tend to the needs of any pets that are under my care. I believe that both people and animals benefit from living in a clean and comfortable space, so I seek to maintain and accommodate that kind of positive atmosphere in your pet's home.
About: I’ve been providing services through Rover since 2024 and worked privately prior to that. I’ve always lived in a household with dogs of all breeds and sizes, and I’ve raised many from puppies through their adult and senior years. I understand that every dog has unique needs at each stage of life and am happy to tailor care specifically for your canine companion. Boarding Details: I have 10 acres of private land with a pond, giving dogs plenty of space to explore and enjoy. Boarding pups are welcomed as part of my pack and family during their stay—I want them to feel just as comfortable as they do at home. We also have a dedicated bedroom, with a crate available if needed, so everyone can have their own space. I can’t wait to connect with you! 🐾 I adventure daily on local trails with my own pups and love planning bigger outings on the weekends. I enjoy including daycare and boarding dogs in our activities when it fits their personality and comfort level, so every pup gets the right mix of exercise and fun. During daycare or boarding stays, dogs receive morning potty breaks and exercise, enrichment or rest during the day, and evening adventures or structured playtime. I keep feeding schedules consistent and make sure everyone has time to settle. I provide regular photo updates and am happy to accommodate special diets, crate preferences, or senior/puppy needs so your dog feels safe and comfortable throughout their stay. I’m available most evenings after 4 PM, with extra flexibility during February and April school vacations. From the end of June through the end of August, when I’m out of school, I’m much more available for weekly let-outs and boarding opportunities if needed. My goal is to keep your pet in their routine as much as possible, so they can be comfortable and things go smoothly! If boarding at our place- dogs have the accessibility to a fenced in yard, several acres of off leash trails explore, a private pond, & 2 friendly pups during their stay!
