We have typically boarded him with a more traditional kennel in the past. He would leave his time there with no voice, because he was barking the whole time, and very anxious. When we made the switch to Ashley, his entire experience has changed! He is going on hikes and spending time with his new friends and when we pick him up he is exhausted from all of his adventures. We get frequent updates with pictures and videos so we can see how much fun he is having. As his human, I would feel bad for our boy when we would leave him at the traditional, but now when we leave him with Ashley I know he is going to have a good experience and the care and attention he deserves when we are out of town. If you are on the fence about boarding with Ashley, don’t be!”

“Stephanie took care of my three beloved cats, one of which is diabetic. There was a LOT to do with three of them! She took EXCELLENT care of them and showed up twice every day at the same time, prepared their food in a particular way, refilled their water fountain, gave them a certain amount of treats, and took care of their litter box perfectly. She even cleaned up a few messes they created which was above and beyond her responsibilities! Most importantly, she gave my diabetic cat her insulin shot twice a day. She really helped me enjoy my vacation because I didn't worry about them being in her care. I will be entrusting her to sit for them again going forward.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats my entire life, with most of my pets coming from shelters and rescues. This experience has given me a strong appreciation for different temperaments, routines, and comfort levels. Currently, I live with my partner Caley (also on Rover!) and an 8 year old domestic shorthair cat named Barnett. We reside in walking distance of North Beach in Hampton. I primarily work from home, which gives me excellent flexibility for walks and drop-in visits throughout the day. I am in the office a day or two, but am typically able to shift days in order accommodate walks. I take safety seriously and treat every pet as if they were my own. I follow all care instructions closely, use secure equipment, and tailor walks to each pet’s needs. About: For pretty much most of my entire life I’ve had a dog. I gave them all the love I had and they did the same right back at me. Currently we own a beautiful 4yr old Golden named Sammy. He is gentile playful loving and silly. When a dog walks into our home it takes about 30 seconds and just like that Sammys got a new best friend. My business is in insurance sales which has me doing most of my work from home. This allows me to take great care of my dog Sammy and any of his friends. We’ve got a spacious open concept home with a big grassy fenced in back yard for lots of play time. We can also easily crate your dog if needed. I only work part time now and make my own hours so I have a ton of flexibility in my schedule. I love all animals and want to provide you with stress free pet care. About: Without exception, the dog park is always one of the best parts of my day. I've had three dogs of my own, and have been around countless other dogs, most of whom instantly become my new best friends. We just gravitate to each other, hence the fuzzy friend whisperer nickname. I have a playful, loving attitude toward every dog I meet. I am also sensitive to dogs who need a little more patience and space to ease into trusting me and respect the boundaries that they need to do that. My training style with my own dogs is focused on positive reinforcement rather than punishment. This approach translates to other dogs as well, unless their owners request differently. Your dog will be in caring, responsible hands with me. They will be loved. Vogel Emergency Vet just opened right across the street from our house, so if anything kind of emergency pops up, your baby will be a hop, skip and a jump away from the care they need. I'm self employed and work mostly from home so my schedule is quite flexible. Sometimes I’ll have drop in visits throughout the day, but if your dog is boarding with me, there will generally be someone else at home with them. They’ll rarely, if ever be left alone. I live on a small farm but also live near a road, so your dog will always be safely on a leash when we go outside for potty breaks. I have a very friendly 12 year old 45lb labradoodle named Huck to keep your baby company in the rare cases that I'm not at home. I have a "squirrel observatory" (bird feeder) right near my workspace so your dog will not only be supervised most of the time but also entertained.

“I recently left my Boston Terrier, Mia, with Donna and John during my vacation to Sicily for 11 days. Had not used them before, but after our initial meet and greet I felt confident they both had Mia’s best interest in mind and they genuinely love taking care of dogs! I was able to relax while gone and knew Mia was in a good place and having fun. Will definitely use John and Donna again !”
