“Kiana was truly amazing. I had a sudden family emergency that required me to go out of state. She went so far above and beyond during that time, while having no obligation to do so. From the beginning of the cats stay with Kiana, she had been so incredibly flexible, she agreed to watch them with only two days notice, and due to the situation evolving and becoming unpredictable, she was more than happy to allow me to extend their stay. She was the direct cause of so much stress relief due to knowing the cats were safe, and well taken care of. 5/5 human. As for her actual care of the kitties she again went well above and beyond anything anyone might think is going the extra mile. The cats were given the space needed to become comfortable and very quickly, and happily adapted to the new routine. I received frequent pictures and videos, she was very communicative, and because of her vigilance we were able to create a plan of action for one of the kitties who started throwing up more frequently than normal. She even went out and bought higher quality food for the cats, and implemented a structured feeing strategy so we could better assess the puking, which I doubt was an easy task since they both free fed before they were boarded. She kept me up to date at all times and provided regular, detailed updates. 5/5 for animal care as well. She is the best sitter/boarder I have ever had any experience with, by exponents, it’s not even close. Her service was head, and shoulders above anyone I’ve personally used before and far better than anything I’ve heard about other boarders. Choosing Kiana to care for your pets should be an insanely easy decision for anyone who wants their animals taken care of at the highest level of care, and wants someone that is just a straight up good human as well.”

She took good care of my dog, and was able to handle her quirks and energy with seeming ease. She and her husband and son made Bennie part of the family, and even let him sleep in their bed, which is what he is used to at home. Veska followed directions I had left regarding feeding, walks, etc. She also went above and beyond by brushing him and even gave him a bath. He looked better when I picked him up than when I had dropped him off. I highly recommend Veska for safe loving dog care.”

About: I've had a number of pets throughout my life that I have taken care of including dogs of all sizes. I hold a special place in my heart for pitbulls as my sweetest girl was a pittie mix. I'm also used to anxious animals and can manage a pet who doesn't appreciate human contact very much. I'm currently in graduate school, looking for work over the summer and hopefully continuing into weekends and evenings once classes begin again. I work part time in senior care. I believe every animal deserves a kind and loving home, regardless or species, breed, or temperament. She was happy to watch him for however long I needed, which I loved because I didn't have to rush to and from the fest like I have had to in years past due to using the Commercial Dog Daycare in Newport. She took him to the dog park and sent me a picture of him to check in, and he returned to me as one tired pup, which is good! She is also quick to respond to any messages sent, and will check in with you a day or two prior to watching your dog. “Rebecca and her husband took fantastic care of our three dogs while we were in the area for a wedding. One of our dogs can be a little tricky, and I was really nervous to leave her in doggy day care. She's diabetic and also on anti anxiety medication - but Rebecca handled it like it was no big deal, and had her relaxing in the yard in no time. I really appreciated the check in during the day, to let me know how they were doing- and loved how obvious it was that she was paying attention to each of their personalities. Plus - with all the travel, one of my pups had been refusing to poop. Right until we got into Rebecca's house 🫠 but she handled it with such grace and made an awkward moment super easy for us. About: Growing up, we always had a dog or two and cats in the house. Each one, a member of the family that are loved and spoiled. I now have a year and a half old English chocolate lab named Errol and two cats, Pepper and Chester who are 12 and 6 years old. I have two teenage daughters, and my youngest works for a dog training and daycare taking care of dogs. Our family loves our pets and I and am excited to share that love with yours! I work full time from home 8:30 am-5:00 pm. I have limited time mid day that I use to do drop-in visits and short walks, and am otherwise available before or after my shift. We live to play outside, for walks in the woods, and run around the yard playing in the doggy pool. For more adventurous dogs with some woody experience, our property is on the Lamprey River with access to play and swim.

“Highly recommend! We use Josh for dog walks and couldn’t be happier. Our dogs LOVE Josh and so do we. He is extremely dependable, an amazing communicator, and treats our girls like their one of his own. One of our girls can be very reactive towards other dogs while on walks and Josh took the time to help with this. He was even able to include one of his dogs on a walk with our reactive pup after some training. The walk went great and we can see such a difference in our girls behavior for the better! It's all about knowing that every creature has a personality of their own and taking the appropriate approach for positive behavior and training. We work full-time, yet we make time for evening walks with our youngest dog (if the temperature is bearable). On the weekends, we take her for 1-2 walks within the two days. Late Spring to mid Fall is the best time for outdoor fun. We have another older dog that is crate trained if they need to be caged in because of visitors. If a dog is trained well enough to not run off, we do have a wide open backyard they can run around in.

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I had a dog for most of my life, and for a few years fostered dogs at the same time, and had two dogs for a few years. I’ve fostered 10+ dogs of all sizes, ages, temperaments, and needs, including senior dogs and dogs with disabilities. I also have years of cat care experience and have volunteered at a local shelter and farm/sanctuary caring for dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, reptiles, and more. I’m comfortable caring for animals with all kinds of personalities and needs, and I bring patience, reliability, and genuine care to every pet I look after. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets with someone, and I’m committed to making them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Pet care is a wonderful way for me to spend my time doing something I genuinely love. Right now I have availability on the weekends for pet care. About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was a child. I have experience in all types of sizes and breeds. I will walk them as needed, administer meds, and play with them. I have a kennel, if that’s what they’re used to. I’m familiar with how to deal with difficult animals, as I’ve raised some dogs that I was their only way of survival. I will do everything I can to make sure your fur baby feels at home. I have treats and toys, and nothing but time. If you want to me to work on basic commands for your home, that is also an option. “Kiana was truly amazing. I had a sudden family emergency that required me to go out of state. She went so far above and beyond during that time, while having no obligation to do so. From the beginning of the cats stay with Kiana, she had been so incredibly flexible, she agreed to watch them with only two days notice, and due to the situation evolving and becoming unpredictable, she was more than happy to allow me to extend their stay. She was the direct cause of so much stress relief due to knowing the cats were safe, and well taken care of. 5/5 human. As for her actual care of the kitties she again went well above and beyond anything anyone might think is going the extra mile. The cats were given the space needed to become comfortable and very quickly, and happily adapted to the new routine. I received frequent pictures and videos, she was very communicative, and because of her vigilance we were able to create a plan of action for one of the kitties who started throwing up more frequently than normal. She even went out and bought higher quality food for the cats, and implemented a structured feeing strategy so we could better assess the puking, which I doubt was an easy task since they both free fed before they were boarded. She kept me up to date at all times and provided regular, detailed updates. 5/5 for animal care as well. She is the best sitter/boarder I have ever had any experience with, by exponents, it’s not even close. Her service was head, and shoulders above anyone I’ve personally used before and far better than anything I’ve heard about other boarders. Choosing Kiana to care for your pets should be an insanely easy decision for anyone who wants their animals taken care of at the highest level of care, and wants someone that is just a straight up good human as well.”

“Bielka was great. She responded to my request quickly and was able to accommodate my pup last minute, when my usual sitter had to cancel. She took good care of my dog, and was able to handle her quirks and energy with seeming ease. When I picked up my dog, Bielka gave me a little summary of their time together and let me know how my dog did. She truly cared and loved her, and I so appreciated that. It's not always easy to find somebody who will provide that care and form a connection with your dog over a short period of time and it feels like Bielka did just that. My dog seemed totally at ease. I'm so grateful for Bielka and would 100% recommend her!”

“Veska is wonderful! My dog Bennie stayed with Veska for a week and she took great care of him. Veska is gentle and kind, and Bennie loves her. She and her husband and son made Bennie part of the family, and even let him sleep in their bed, which is what he is used to at home. Veska followed directions I had left regarding feeding, walks, etc. She also went above and beyond by brushing him and even gave him a bath. He looked better when I picked him up than when I had dropped him off. I highly recommend Veska for safe loving dog care.”

We didn’t get the usual ‘cold shoulder’ from Brook when we returned from our vacation, so that speaks volumes. This is our third time we’ve had to leave Brook to travel. I wouldn’t go to anyone else.
