About: I became a licensed Veterinary Technician in 2014 and have 10 years experience working in general practice. I have been dog sitting since high school. I currently work Monday-Thursday 8am to 5pm and come home for lunch noon-1pm to care for my own small senior dog as well as 2 senior cats. I have a fenced in yard and a friendly 12 year old dog named Penny. Penny and guest dog will be separated if I am not home but I will have a camera I can view the guest dog as needed if I'm at work. The resident cats will not have access to the guest dog while I am away. My pets eat 4 meals a day and Penny is let outside 4-7 times a day.

My 2 elderly dogs passed away last year and I am now able to help others care for their pets. I have experience working at petco as a groomer and have volunteered walking dogs at the humane society. I have experience training dogs and am most familiar with the cues used at the gf kennel club. I am a nurse and I am comfortable giving medications if needed. My dog was very high maintenance with many health concerns and I learned a lot from her. My other dog had an anxious temperament and I took classes with her to learn how to help her feel more comfortable around new people and places. “STELLAR PET SITTER, MARIAH SAVED MY CATS WHILE I WAS ON VACATION Mariah is a sweet, peaceful, committed sitter that takes her bookings seriously and does a great job. I have 4 cats and went on an 8 day vacation, so I booked a pet sitter through Rover to come and check on them and th house twice a day. About halfway through the week, that guy (Michael L. from the Fargo area) decided to take advantage of my home and brought other pets inside. I did not want him in my house anymore and unfortunately I had no family or close friends in town that I could call for help. I asked Mariah if she could take over the check in visits for the rest of the week, starting immediately and without notice. She was so understanding of the difficult situation I was in with the other pet sitter and agreed to help me out. She showed so much flexibility and started doing an amazing job right away. She communicated great and took the best care of my cats and home despite the fact she is recovering from an ankle fracture. After the horrible experience with the previous pet sitter, Mariah was the perfect peaceful fit to look over them for the rest of the days. The cats became comfortable with her, and she helped me very diligently to find 2 of my cats that seemed to be missing after I cancelled the first pet sitter (Michael L) I was in another country without able to do almost anything for my home and kitties, and I am so grateful to have found Mariah.”

About: I love small dogs. I've had my own dogs for 20 years now, raising them from puppies to seniors. I know how hard it can be to find pet-sitting services, especially for multiple overnights. When I travel, I prefer to have someone stay at my house and be with my dogs - not just show up once in a while to feed them or let them out. What I want for my own dogs is what I give to you - 24/7 personal care for your pet. I know how expensive it can be to board dogs and the guilty feeling knowing that they are going to be in a kennel for most of the time. When your dog is with us, they are part of the family! My rates are a bit more expensive than boarding facilities but its the constant care, no cages, 24/7 love and affection that you are getting that makes a few dollars more worth it. Your dogs are free are to do their thing and can even sleep with us if that is what they are used to! Our bed is big enough! I prefer smaller (20 pounds or less) hypoallergenic breeds that will get along with my own fur-babies. Yours must be spayed or neutured, because my 2 bichon frises are not (we are hoping for babies!). Spy on us if you want - I have a Furbo or we can set up a camera for zoom. But I promise to send lots of pictures! I provide 24/7 care. Your dog will never be left alone. Rover is new to me, but my dogs rule this house. We are very dog-friendly, from toys and treats to washable rugs and floors! Your dog can even sleep with us if thats what they are used to. I have a large fenced in backyard with lots of room for dogs to run and play. I will take them outside frequently, although we have a doggy door as well. Your dogs will never be unattended. “Lexy is a terrific! I reached out to other Rover dog walkers who either failed to respond or had full schedules. Lexy responded within 5 minutes of my text and was able to accommodate my travel dates. She happily did an initial visit to meet my Great Dane Maddie which gave me confidence she could manage my goofy giant dog. I booked Lexy for 1-week (as a trial for me…) and then again for 2-weeks. Lexy’s 1st day was a real test…Maddie managed to lock herself in an upstairs room in my house! I was ‘in the air’ so unavailable to immediately contact. Lexy attempted to unlock/open the door with no luck. She ended up contacting local non-emergency who sent folks out to the house and safely unlocked the door. Lexy contacted one of my family members as an FYI and also texted and left a voice mail for me to see when I landed. The 2nd day…Lexy mostly did a visit. Maddie just wanted to bark, and bark, and bark…so Lexy sat with her until she settled down (Danes can be a bit neurotic ), then was able to let her out back. Lexy had patience with Maddie and helped her to settle into the new routine. The rest of that 1st week and the other 2-weeks went great! Lexy came out again before the next 2-week job to get ‘re-acquainted’ which worked very well for Maddie (and me). I received daily ‘check-in’ & ‘check-out’ texts and report cards via Rover; Lexy was great about letting me know how the visits were going and how Maddie was settling in. Having the detailed communications allowed me to enjoy my family vacation. I highly recommend Lexy to care for your 4-legged family members!”

This included cleaning litter boxes, playing with them, feeding them, and giving medicine if needed. I also pet sat both big and small dogs and love to take them on walks. And I had a rabbit who lived to a long healthy age of 10 years! I do miss playing with my sister's cat back home so I will make sure your pet gets the love and care they need. I currently share my home with two active dogs and two sweet cats, which allows me to stay practiced for playtime or walks. Because I live right in town, I know all the local parks and can easily accommodate short-notice requests. Before any house sitting booking, I request a quick 5-10 minute tour of your home. This helps me meet your dog in a relaxed setting, map out a custom care plan, and write down your specific instructions so everything runs seamlessly while you are away! My work is fully flexible and remote, so I can accommodate short-notice requests, extra time requests and have plenty of energy for playtime and walks! I clean while saying in others home, making sure blankets and toys stay fresh and the home looks as it was found. I set alarms to ensure timely medication administration and that routines are upheld. I stay quite focused on time spent with the animals.
About: Growing up I’ve always had pets! I had dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, and horses. Throughout all 4 years of highschool I worked at a doggy daycare/boarding facility. While working there I gained lots of experience in animal care. I have worked with elderly dogs and dogs that require special care. After highschool I worked as a vet assistant for 1 year. I am now a part time hairstylist and would love to continue doing animal care on the side! I am available mornings and nights for walks or check ins. About: I have been watching dogs and cats for people for the last many years and have loved everyone of them. I love when they ask me again to watch the same dogs. we get such a bond and I get very excited when I can go back to watch them again. I also have had many dogs and cats when I was younger. I am not working and have a pretty open schedule. I always have time to love them like they are mine. I am such a animal lover I have 4 cats and 1 dog that get along great with other animals. I will care for them and love them as they are mine.

About: I've always loved animals, & have cared for dogs, cats, and many other animals since I was a kid. I have experience with kittens, puppies, nursing mothers, bottle-feeding puppies and kittens, potty-training and basic obedience training, and caring for seniors animals. In the last several years, my kids have joined me in caring for a variety of pets, from dogs and cats to reptiles and even a hedgehog. I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to make sure your pet gets the exercise and other care they need! I have a friendly dog to keep your fur baby company, a home and family environment for pet sitting or boarding, and a kennel available for use as necessary.

About: I have had pets all my life and have a lot of experience with cats and dogs. I have also had a gerbil, snake, turtle, and fish but I am open to learning about caring for any animal. My 2 elderly dogs passed away last year and I am now able to help others care for their pets. I have experience working at petco as a groomer and have volunteered walking dogs at the humane society. I have experience training dogs and am most familiar with the cues used at the gf kennel club. I am a nurse and I am comfortable giving medications if needed. My dog was very high maintenance with many health concerns and I learned a lot from her. My other dog had an anxious temperament and I took classes with her to learn how to help her feel more comfortable around new people and places. Animals bring so much joy to my life and I would love to help take care of yours! I have a very flexible schedule. I am taking time off of nursing to be a stay at home mom and I am at home a lot so just ask! I will always treat your pets with the love and attention I would want someone to provide my pets. They will get lots of attention and exercise!
