“Annie is great with our 2 older dogs. Daily updates and photos showed us they are being taken care of with love and patience......they settled in nicely and Annie and her husband treat our dogs just as they do their own. We highly recommend Annie!”

“If you love your dog and want someone who loves your dog as much as you do. Alexandra is that person. My dog had so much fun playing with all the dogs she has there. She has two of her own that are as sweet as can be. Her home is clean and beautiful, her back yard is big and fenced. She was very quick to respond to all my questions, she doesn't take mean dogs that are not a fit. I received many photos and videos during my dog's visit. I couldn't be happier to find Alexandra and will be using her services for as long as she continues to babysit my baby. I knew Alexandra was special because she enjoyed watching the dogs all play together as much as I did.”

“Ana was phenomenal with my fur baby! Right off the bat I could tell she was thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely cared about our little furry family members she provides care to. I am sooo grateful I found Ana on Rover, and if I should need to board my sweet little fur baby in Fayetteville again in the future, Ana will be the first person I reach out to. Thank you Ana! 😇”

“It was such a pleasure to have Megan watch Roxie for us. It was on quick notice and she was very accommodating. I got beautiful good morning pics from Roxie every morning and she assured me Roxie was settling in well.”

“Luna is always loved when she goes. He sends updates and pictures, and this always reassures she is being well taken care of! Will be using again if we go out of town!”

“This is my second time leaving Zeus with Natalie and she is great. Never have any issues with our stay and she is very kind and responsive. She will send updates on your pets stay throughout the time with her.”

“I had an amazing experience with Branden and Nikkishae! From the start, communication was great and I felt completely comfortable leaving my puppy in their care. They were patient, attentive, and clearly have a natural love for animals. My puppy was well taken care of, and I could tell he felt safe and comfortable the entire time. They kept me updated and made the whole process stress-free for me, which I really appreciated. I will definitely be a returning customer and highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone reliable and caring to watch their pet. They are officially my go-to pet sitter—I’ll definitely be booking with them again.”

“Mary was fantastic! I needed her last min for a long trip. My dogs can be a handful and Mary was extremely accommodating. She made my kids feel at home and she sent pics and updates that made my time away from them easier. My trip ended early and Mary offered to go above and beyond because of the circumstances. My kiddos came home tired and happy! Thank you!”
“Shiloh really enjoyed her sleepover at Lucia’s. She was well fed, got to make some new doggie friends, and best of all got lots of love and attention. Shiloh and I highly recommend Lucia, she’s kind, patient, and caring.”

“I left my 6 month old Vizsla with Lindy for my first time being away from her since I got her. She sent me pictures and videos everyday while I was gone which made it easier being away from my puppy. I would highly suggest her to anyone looking for a dog sitter in the area. My puppy came home extremely happy and sleepy which is great for me after a long trip!”

“I needed a boarding for a couple of nights for my dog, Kinako, at the very last minute. Jessica and her family were very accommodating to my request. When we had a meet in the evening before, I had a faith and I knew they are the ones! Kinako immediately made herself comfortable at their home. Their dog is sweet and friendly. They made friends with each other right away. While I was away, it was great to see the update picture, and I felt at ease. When I picked Kinako up, I could tell that she had a wonderful time at their lovely home. Thank you so much for everything you have done for us. Kinako and I are looking forward to the next opportunities.”

“Excellent experience with Jennifer. Took my pup in on short notice and was extremely flexible for drop off and pick up. Sent pictures and kept us updated on how things were going. Will definitely use again!”

“My dog loves Niki!!! She’s so awesome and best part he comes home wiped out from playing with other dogs! We love her!! No problems and she takes great care of our Doberman!”

“David took great care of my pup while I went out of town. He updated me with messages and pictures each day, which I really appreciated. My pup looked so happy and relaxed, clearly she had a great little vacation too! Highly recommend and would definitely book again.”

About: I've had experience in handling and providing care for cats of all temperaments from my own to working with boarding cats at kennels and the SPCA. I am comfortable adminstering medicine through food or using a pill pusher or pill pockets. Growing up one of my cats had issues with her kidneys and I administered her pills with a pusher as it was the only way to reliability know she received her life saving medicine every morning. I have a young cat of my own who is a bit on the spunky side but I love him reguardless of all the sass! At the SPCA I made sure all our cats in the facility were fed and had a clean kennel. I enjoyed free time providing enrichment through play or for the more shy cats sitting quietly and allowing them to come and go as they pleased.
“If you want peace of mind for your pets while you are away, Holly will give you that!! She is wonderful. We loved getting the daily updates and photos/videos. We love Holly and will be booking with her again each time we are away!!”

“Mary made herself available on short notice to do a meet and greet. Mary was friendly, easy to talk to and relate to. Merry interacted with my girls. Mary was on time for the appointment that was booked for her drop in. I would recommend her.”

About: Hi! I’m your friendly neighborhood pet sitter—animal nerd, plant parent, and professional chaos manager 🌿🐾 From pocket-sized hamsters to majestic Great Danes, opinionated parrots to mysterious snakes, I love animals of every variety. Fur, feathers, or scales? I’m in. I approach pet care like a science and an art—learning routines, decoding body language, and adapting my care to match each pet’s unique personality (yes, even the dramatic ones). When I’m not hanging out with pets, I’m probably fussing over plants and making sure every living thing around me is thriving. Whether it’s following a color-coded care sheet, calming nervous pets, administering meds, or watering your beloved jungle, I’ve got it handled. You can head out knowing your pets (and plants!) are safe, spoiled, and genuinely cared for by someone who treats every home like a tiny ecosystem worth protecting. 🐈🌸🐶🐍🌱 Your furry, feathered, or scaly friends will be happy, safe, and well-loved while you're away! My wife and I recently made the move to Southern Pines from Florida and have been enjoying getting to know the community—especially its many pets! I believe good pet care starts with clear expectations, happy routines, and making sure every member of the household—furred, feathered, scaled, or leafy—feels safe and well looked after. I’m happy to offer pet sitting, house sitting, doggy daycare, and more. I have a large fenced backyard for safe playtime and live in a lovely, pet-friendly neighborhood, perfect for walks, adventures, or just soaking up some sun. Your furry, feathered, or scaly friends will be happy, safe, and well-loved while you’re away!

“Mackenzie did a great job caring for my timid pup, Milo! She made sure that he was comfortable with all of her dogs and made sure to provide updates throughout the day, and by the end of his stay, he was snuggling with them on the couch and playing with them in the yard. I would definitely recommend Mackenzie!”

About: Hi! I’m Kat — and I offer personalized walks and enrichment as a trusted extension of your dog’s care team. I know how hard it is to leave your dog. They’re family. Clear communication and consistency matter, and I take that seriously. Every visit is an opportunity to build trust — with both you and your pup. You’ll receive thoughtful updates that include notes on energy, potty, behavior, and anything I’m noticing (because yes, I absolutely pay attention to the details). I truly treat each dog as the individual they are. Some are bold explorers. Some are thoughtful observers. Some love a purposeful walk, while others prefer a slower pace with time to sniff and take it all in. I adjust each visit based on age, health, temperament, and your household routines — meeting your dog where they are and supporting what helps them thrive. I’m especially attentive to patterns — what helps a dog feel calm, confident, and engaged. Safety and steady leadership are always my priorities. I’m mindful at doors, leashes, transitions, and the environment around us so your dog’s experience is secure, structured, and positive.
About: I’ve owned up to 4 dogs at a time. Having that many dogs in my house together, I’ve learned how to meet their needs and keep them happy. I’d put two at a time on one leash which made walking them easier. I’ve always been the “go to” person when my family or friends needed a pet sitter. My passion has always been children and animals. I was a teacher’s aide for the past 27 years. Now that I’m retired I’d like to switch gears and spend time taking care of dogs. My home is dog friendly. I have a fenced in yard on a quiet cul-de-sac. I also have two sweet dogs of my own that are friendly and playful.
“Jacki was amazing with my puppy! She is very flexible and accommodating. My puppy is not fully potty trained or crate trained yet and it was difficult to find someone to take him. Jacki was a lifesaver! She was the perfect fit for us. Highly recommend.”

“Cameron was excellent. She provided great care for my dog and her puppy Haggis is so sweet and playful. She was very responsive and her fenced in yard is perfect for dogs to play.”

About: I've grown up caring for multiple breeds of dogs and some cats. I have adopted an older Lab Mix from a kill shelter and he is the sweetest, calm and loving dog. Large dogs are my specialty but I love smaller dogs as well. Caring for them comes natural, on top of giving them plenty of space to run and exercise. I am comfortable giving any dogs medications as I have experience giving my own the same. If there is any specification you'd like for dog boarding, I am more than positive those needs can be met. Walking dogs is an everyday activity I do to keep them mobile and active as well as myself! I just enjoy any type of companionship that comes with caring for dogs! I’m currently working from home which helps allow us to provide full time care for our animals, as well as yours! We’re able to be outside and play anytime throughout the day. We have a large fenced in back yard with lots of room to roam and play outside. With cameras in the front and back yard that helps us keep a close eye on their movement to ensure safety.
About: I have grown up with a black lab who lived until 16, and now have both a 10 year old german shepherd and an almost 5 year old Australian shepherd. In addition to taking care of my dogs my running and walking with them, feeding them, and training them along with my husband, I have also spent time dog sitting for neighbors and friends. They would be gone anywhere from entire weekends to an entire month, and I would go over to their house and care for their dogs by playing and feeding them, as well as letting them out. The goal is to turn this side hustle into my main! I will care for your barking babies on my weekends off, and whenever I am available otherwise during the week days and weekends. Being a traveler and full-time teacher, I understand the need to find a reliable dog sitter and walker that treats our doggos like they are their own. I will love on them when you are away so you do not have to worry! Both of my dogs are inside dogs, but when they want to be outside, I have a big fenced-in back yard! I do live in a neighborhood, but it is an awesome place to walk animals and very safe.
“Camille is the best with my dog Kuma! She is friendly, communicative, and reliable. I feel so safe with her taling him for walks while I am at work. She gives me peace of mind!”

“Terri had been such a great sitter!! I’ve used her multiple times now because of the great experience with her. The first time I used her she was so responsive to the booking request and was more than understanding of what I needed for my dogs. Every time she walks them I know they’re getting the right attention needed for two high energy dogs. They get to play and relieve some energy during the time Terri watches them! I highly recommend you book with her! She’s great!! Thank you Terri!!”

About: My experience in pet care is extensive. From helping raise and train my own family dogs as child, to working at different animal facilities, I have experience in many different/difficult situations I may face. While I lived in New York I worked at a high end Doggy Daycare and boarding facility that prided itself in creating a certified "fear free" environment for dogs. In a daycare setting I handled and monitored up to 25 dogs in a safe and ethical way. I learned how to read different dog body language cues and how to handle small to XL size dogs. I took a lot of pride in the environment I created for my playgroups so dogs could enjoy safe, fun interactions with each other. I also worked as a kennel technician at the same facility. I did potty breaks for up to 50 dogs, cleaned kennels to propers standards and provided enrichment and feeding for all of our guests. I have experience in how to handle aggressive or stand offish dogs in a safe and manageable way. I also learned a lot about animal health and helped provide care for special needs guests who may have disabilities due to age or that were on seizure watch. Any issues or concerns I had health wise were immediately brought to my supervisors so it could be brought to the owners attention. I worked at Resorts Boarding and Play in two different times for about a year and a half total. After my time at this facility I worked at the SPCA Serving Erie County as an animal caretaker. It was here I gained more exposure to different temperaments in dogs and cats and how to work with them while also cleaning their kennels so they had a clean safe space to enjoy. I enjoyed helping all these pets in desperate need and watching them come out of their shells and experience joy more and more. It was one of the most rewarding parts of that job! When I moved to North Carolina I spent a few months working at 7 Lakes Kennels as a kennel technician again. I cleaned kennels and helped pair dogs for daycare play. I handled medicine distribution to dogs who needed it, cleaned potty yards and of course, played with many dogs! I again had previous experience in handling some tougher dogs so I was comfortable in helping others with some guests who had behavioral challenges. I also did feedings for the guests under my care for the day and took everyone out for potty walks at allotted times. Although I have only professionally been in the pet care industry for about 3 years I consider most of my life as experience from also doing all pet care for my animals growing up, including pushing pills for my childhood cat who had issues with kidney function. I fed all my childhood pets morning and night. I handled supplements for my goldendoodle who had hip and joint issues later in life. I have tons of techniques to help dogs take medicine in an enticing manner. I also made sure my dogs received 20-30 minutes of intense exercise a day to meet their large dog requirements as goldendoodles. They preferred playing ball but also enjoyed added on walks. I am sincerely passionate about providing top-notch care to pets and have shown that to many previous employers who always enjoyed my attention to detail and efforts to work with the animals regardless of any behavior issues or health concerns they faced. I am stay at home as of now so I have plenty of free time on my hands. I prefer to be at home rather than out so the only time I gone really is to run errands or be at the gym. I enjoy an active lifestyle so I do walk my dogs a bit or allow them to run around outside and play with them. I have a set feeding schedule for them. Breakfast is 8 am and dinner is 5 pm. I have done both of my dogs basic obedience myself as I'm looking to advance in the dog training field. I hope to start schooling soon to get my certifications. I have used different techniques for both of my dogs as they have different temperaments. I strive to understand my dogs thoroughly and work with them rather than force them into overwhelming situations. We always start small and build from there once they show they understand a concept or become more comfortable in a new environment. Both of my dogs are crate trained. I love them very much but I finds crates are a very helpful tool to help teach self control and give them a space they can call their own. I am happy to follow any instructions you may have for me through a text message or written out on paper. If you have any concerns I am happy to communicate with you while you are away! At one boarding facility we would send out pictures every three days of a fun activity we did with the dogs to help ease owners minds. I am more than willing to do something like that for you everyday! I totally understand the worry of being away from your best friends! I do ask if your dog boards with me that they come with their crate/kennel. I find it a bit easier for a dog to decompress in a new environment if they have something that is familiar for them. Blankets that smell like you are a plus. I am more than willing to clean toys and bedding before you come to pick up your buddy again. If you want feeding done at certain times I'm happy to do that as I have a free schedule just taking care of my home. Walks, playtime and interacting with dogs are must to keep spirits up while you are away so I am happy to provide these services as well! Of course attention and love is given regardless to any pet I am watching! I am comfortable adminstering medication according to labels or any supplements/treats you provide your pets! I ALWAYS listen to and watch dogs for body language cues. I find that respecting dogs leads to a much better relationship between caretakers and friends. I have extensive training through "The Dog Gurus" my first employer provided all employees. This taught me different play styles for breeds, how to monitor health through potty habits and what to look for in concerning poop. I learned the warning signs of seizures and how to handle them as well as what to watch for if a dog may have a parasitic infection. I was also taught signs of stress and techniques to help prevent them through providing familiar scents, toys or approach. I am aware of and use certain skills in approaching nervous dogs-become smaller and less threatening by turning your back slightly and not holding direct eye contact. I always allow a dog to approach me by offering my hand from a distance and letting them decide if they want to interact or not. For dogs who were sensitive or reactive about touch around their neck while working I used a "double slip lead" technique so I wouldn't have to get into their personal space while putting a lead on them. It also made it safer to remove a lead by never having to physically touch the dog, rather gently pull one lead attached around the other and they would both safely slip off the dog. Understanding a dogs temperament and triggers is vital for me to work safely and effectively with any dog I encounter or interact with. Please always offer all information on your dog to me during a meet and greet session. I would rather have "too much" information on your dog than feel like I'm scrambling with questions later on while you are away. I enjoy working with all different types of dogs and love learning about their personalities and things they enjoy. I feel confident in my skill level and experience to provide safe, loving, enjoyable care for all your four legged family members.

Thank you!”
