About: I’ve been a vet tech for about 5 years. Before that, I managed a pet boarding facility. I grew up on a farm, so I’ve been caring for dogs and cats all my life. Im a toddler mom, and I currently work as an emergency vet tech so I’m great at keeping calm in stressful situations. I’m a stay-at-home mom during the week, and then I work on Saturdays, so I’m pretty flexible with my schedule! I will have to bring my toddler with me to any visits on a weekday if it’s before 4 pm. When I’m caring for a pet, I always play with them and make sure they get quality interaction with me. I also check over their physical appearance to make sure they’re healthy and safe. From boarding overnight, to drop-in visits when you can't be there, to random play visits/walking your fur babies, or even meeting/helping you with multiple animals' vet visits..... As an adult I have managed boarding kennels, worked at a veterinary hospital, and have my own pet sitting company, In Your Absence. I am a recent graduate with a master of science in animal science. I was super nervous about boarding, not knowing how they would be treated, if they were cared for properly, & if they would get their belly rubs hourly. After the first day meeting Heather & her family, I knew they would be the "other family" to my pups!! Heather sent updates daily, along with pictures & texts of how things were going.
