“Meagan and her family were wonderful with my girl, Sookie! Sookie needs to be around confident dogs and Maegan's two were exactly that. From the first moment we met, I knew that "we had a match" for my dog. All the pictures and updates from Maegan were reassuring and it was clear to see that things were going very well. She clearly loves all dogs and is very attentive and in tune with their moods and actions. Her home and fenced yard were secure, safe, comfortable and very welcoming. My one concern going into this was that Maegan has small children and my dog hasn't been around many. But I expressed my unnecessary concern and learned that her kids are as professional, sensitive and loving of dogs as their parents. Five stars doesn't seem like enough!”

I graduated with a degree in Zoology and have worked hands-on with a wide range of animals, including exotics, at both the Greensboro Science Center and the NC Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh. This background helps me confidently care for pets with unique needs, medical considerations, or specific routines. While I am readily available, in cases where I am not, I also have two amazing assistants, both trained veterinary assistants based in Wilmington and Leland, who help cover sittings when I’m booked or when scheduling gets busy. No matter who visits your pets, you’ll always have someone experienced, dependable, and animal-obsessed taking care of them. While my primary focus here is everyday pet sitting and drop-ins, I also offer wedding-day pet care through my business (happy to share more if you ever need it!). When I’m not caring for pets, you’ll find me at the beach with my dog, volunteering at a cat sanctuary (The Ruffian Foundation!), or curled up with a good book. Animals are truly the center of my world, and I’m grateful to have built a life and career surrounded by them. Flexibility of time windows (morning, mid-day, evening and night) are important for scheduling with other clients and driving times. Exceptions to this are medication administration that must be done at certain times. Your pets will receive detailed care with me! Your animals will receive food, water, any special medications/treatment, love and attention, walks, and playtime! I can accommodate any special needs you have. I have the ability to safely secure your animals in your home and secure your house as well.
About: Growing up at home I had cats and a dog. I can't imagine a home without Pets. 7 years ago my family adopted our dogs Max and Lola. I have many years experience caring for cats and dogs and would be honored to care and love for yours. I'm currently between jobs and have plenty of time to watch and care for pets. My schedule is very flexible and open weekdays amnd weekends. Based on your preference we can agree to a personalized schedule. About: I’ve had dogs as long as I can remember. I love playing with dogs and walking them. I can handle any size dog as well as administering meds etc. I’m recently retired so my schedule is normally very flexible. I can usually be available at a short notice if needed to be a help for your pet. I do not board pets at my home as we already have 3 of our own to love and care for on a daily basis
About: I am a second year medical graduate student at Northwestern University, currently applying for residencies for prosthetics and orthotics. I have a golden retriever of my own and have taken care of dogs since I was in high school. My grandma as well as my fiancé‘s grandparents are here in St James and I am looking to help take care of your four-legged friends while finishing up my last semester of school. “Meagan and her family were wonderful with my girl, Sookie! Sookie needs to be around confident dogs and Maegan's two were exactly that. From the first moment we met, I knew that "we had a match" for my dog. All the pictures and updates from Maegan were reassuring and it was clear to see that things were going very well. She clearly loves all dogs and is very attentive and in tune with their moods and actions. Her home and fenced yard were secure, safe, comfortable and very welcoming. My one concern going into this was that Maegan has small children and my dog hasn't been around many. But I expressed my unnecessary concern and learned that her kids are as professional, sensitive and loving of dogs as their parents. Five stars doesn't seem like enough!”
