“Ashley and family were great! If I could give her 10 stars I would. We planned a weekend in Rocky Mount and booked boarding for our dog at a local boarding place. We dropped her off and before we left they let us know she was too anxious and would not be able to tolerate the whole weekend there. We tried one other boarding facility and they had a similar set up so I knew she wouldn't be able to stay there either. I found Ashley on rover and messaged her about booking for the weekend last minute. Our dog is very anxious around other dogs which becomes aggression because she gets so worked up. Ashley was able to keep her for the weekend and keep her separated from their other dogs in the home. I was very relieved to know she was safe and taken care and that the other dogs in the home were safe too. When we arrive Harley went right in with them and was happy when we picked her up! I've bottle-fed newborns, given oral medications (pills and liquid), applied topical ointments, and given fluid injections to cats with renal failure. I'll honor any preferences you have for caring for your cats (e.g., feeding times, fresh water daily, etc.). My wife and I have rescued and fostered cats for the last 10 years, so I’m familiar with a variety of health issues and quirky behaviors. And I scoop litters! At the moment I work remotely from home, so I can flex my schedule around any specific times you may need. Driving long distance is not a deal-breaker for me. Most of our cats are indoors but have access to a fenced-in portion of the back yard. We feed them wet food twice a day (morning and night) and snack them with dry food throughout the day. Each one gets playtime throughout the day, and the only "rules" are no cats on the kitchen counters. People have told us that when they die, they hope to come back as a cat we take care of. Given the number of cats we have, I'm unable to board any pets.

We tried one other boarding facility and they had a similar set up so I knew she wouldn't be able to stay there either. I found Ashley on rover and messaged her about booking for the weekend last minute. Our dog is very anxious around other dogs which becomes aggression because she gets so worked up. Ashley was able to keep her for the weekend and keep her separated from their other dogs in the home. I was very relieved to know she was safe and taken care and that the other dogs in the home were safe too. When we arrive Harley went right in with them and was happy when we picked her up! They were very understanding and accommodated us so we did not have to cancel our trip last minute. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I will definitely be booking with Ashley any time we are in the area.”

About: I am a current veterinary student looking to spend my time off taking care of animals. I have experience caring for animals big and small, as well as providing medical care. I would be a great fit for someone looking for top notch care. Currently I am on summer break and plan to spend the majority of my time pet sitting and doing drop ins. I am available 7 days a week. I care for pets in my home like they are my own children. They are allowed on the couch, on the bed, and in my lap (even those 100lb lap dogs!)
