We were traveling for an extended time and I literally just relaxed and enjoyed the trip just knowing that our dog Lou was in such good hands. Lou is a rescue with some behavior issues which is where Erin is really amazing. She took everything in stride and I can easily see that Lou got lots of attention and companionship. She is an anxious dog and although she enjoys doggy daycare/and we have had other pet sitters, Lou always comes home stressed out, exhausted, nervous and her eyes look bloodshot. Not this time! This has been a completely different experience, she is visibly calm and shows no signs of stress at all. Erin is also super organized and detail-oriented, she is flexible (I had to change some dates) and she had no reservations about giving the daily medication Lou needs. Erin's communication was excellent, she even sent us daily pictures of Lou! Erin exceeded our expectations at every turn and I hope she will become a regular member of Lou's family for future stays. My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. About: I've always loved cats. I had cats growing up in New York, a house full of cats. My mother was allergic to cats so until she passed I wasn't able to have any cats of my own. But now we have two cats. I watch them when my family's out of town. I feed them breakfast and dinner. I play with them. I pet them. About: I’m an experienced and attentive dog caregiver who truly loves spending time with animals. Over the years, I’ve cared for many dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I have a large, fully fenced yard that gives dogs plenty of room to run, play, and explore safely. I’m very observant and hands-on, so pet parents can feel confident that their dogs will receive lots of attention, supervision, exercise, and affection throughout their stay. I work from home and have plenty of time and attention to give to your dog(s). I wake up early so we can get outside before it gets too hot. Happy for short or long stays! I have an acre fenced yard that is reinforced every few inches that is full of fun and smells and space to run. Mom of 6 very used to being around dogs and often help take care of my dog as well. Can drop in for 30 minute visits for potty breaks and company , feed and make sure their area is clean before heading out. Can also acomódate emergency visits if necessary

About: I’ve had animals of many kinds from tiny to huge growing up. I’d normally house sit for family and friends until I decided to join the Rover crew. “Lauren was an awesome sitter for Camper. She sent me lots of pictures every time he went out (which was several times a day) and made sure that he got lots of play time with other dogs. She was also great giving him medicine. There was great communication before, during, and after his stay. I’d use her again every chance I get.”
“This was the first time I leave Dexter with someone while we go out of town. David made us feel comfortable and sure that Dexter would be just fine under his care. He was right! He sent us pictures and comments about Dexter's stay. He asked for detailed information to provide a great stay and make Dexter feel home. “If you are searching for just the right person to care for your family pet, your search is over! I am so thankful that we met Erin- she is a true gift! We were traveling for an extended time and I literally just relaxed and enjoyed the trip just knowing that our dog Lou was in such good hands. Lou is a rescue with some behavior issues which is where Erin is really amazing. She took everything in stride and I can easily see that Lou got lots of attention and companionship. She is an anxious dog and although she enjoys doggy daycare/and we have had other pet sitters, Lou always comes home stressed out, exhausted, nervous and her eyes look bloodshot. Not this time! This has been a completely different experience, she is visibly calm and shows no signs of stress at all. Erin is also super organized and detail-oriented, she is flexible (I had to change some dates) and she had no reservations about giving the daily medication Lou needs. Erin's communication was excellent, she even sent us daily pictures of Lou! Erin exceeded our expectations at every turn and I hope she will become a regular member of Lou's family for future stays. Thank you Erin and Dave, your care meant the world to us!”

“Tori and her family took such great care of our small older dog who has some health issues including med administration needs and occasional pain due to previous cancer. Everything from getting holly to their home (Tori last minute offered to pick Holly Up and this was a godsend because our trip was last minute and we were trying to coordinate many other things) to start her visit to pick up and updates in between were great. Her sons are very gentle and natural animal lovers so that was not any concern even though our dog generally prefers calm environments. I would highly recommend Tori and her family for caring for your pet!”
