I have run an in home doggy day care, owned a pet treat bakery, earned my Vet Tech degree, worked in veterinary clinics, a specialty animal hospital, and as a pet nutrition consultant. I have been blessed to care for many dogs, a half dozen cats, fish, hamsters, 3 baby squirrels and a hedgehog at my home and in others. I miss our senior dog that we rescued as a puppy who passed a few months ago. In need of snuggles! About: I have cared for animals my entire life. Growing up we were a multiple dog and cat family at all times. This is why I understand the care and attention pets need while their owners are away. I have a full time job, however I am very flexible on my work day hours so scheduling for drop-in visits or walks Monday-Thursday will be no problem. I am off Friday-Sunday, so my weekends are even more flexible for the care visits I can provide. For drop-in visits I will arrive at the scheduled time every time. My routine can vary based on client requests, however I typically prefer to let the pet out for a bathroom break first thing. After that, I will ensure food and water are refreshed as needed for the scheduled feeding times. I typically like to allow the pet to run around outside or take them on a walk to get them up and moving during my visit. Before the visit ends, I like to ensure they get another opportunity to use the bathroom before bringing them back inside.
About: I can’t remember an age where I wasn’t helping birth and raise kittens and puppies, turtles, or rodents. From having blind, toothless senior chihuahuas and senile cats…to a litter of brand new pups or kittens struggling to catch their first breath I’ve been part of it. I’ve had several rodents and reptiles, and cared for my friends and family birds as well. Trained puppies and kittens to use the potty and more. Also helped with a few farm animals too. I work only 20-25hrs a week, so I’ll always be home within 6hours or less. Outside of work, I’m home hanging out with my kids and furbabies. I have two e.s.a. Certified cats who tend to hide away when someone new is here. I’ve had them both since babies (13y & 3y). Keep things clean, organized, healthy, I had a cleaning company too. I don’t have crates on hand or an outside fence but I have a huge yard, the neighbor has a spayed female American bulldog, very friendly. There are farm animals next door. However, I do appreciate being where the pet is comfortable and knows its space.

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover whose always had dogs and cats throughout my childhood and adulthood. I also have professional experience working at a doggy daycare, where I cared for 70+ dogs each day. That experience taught me how to handle dogs with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and needs while making sure every pup feels safe, happy, and loved. At home, we have a good sized fully fenced-in yard where your dog can run, play, and get plenty of outdoor time. I also love staying active myself, so going for walks with the dogs is one of my favorite parts of pet care. Whether your pet needs some extra playtime, a good long walk, or simply some love and companionship while you’re away, I’ll treat them like one of my own. I recently moved to North Carolina from Massachusetts with my fur babies and husband for my husband’s career and to continue his college career at UNCW.
